They are always very accommodating and friendly! They do a good job with the polish, but often miss the sides or top. This is a very no frills manicure. No lotion, massage, wax, hot towels, etc. But they are efficient and a gel manicure is only $25. I would recommend skipping the "manicure" and just getting gel polish for $17. My parents and I often come here to get pedicures together. Since there's 3 of us, I try to make an appt. Every time I've shown them a picture of something I wanted, they always do a great job! They also spend a decent amount of time massaging your feet and legs, which is almost as important as the nails IMO! The massage chairs feel nice on my back & neck, too. I always leave here feeling refreshed and relaxed, and with pretty toes! The owners are super nice and sweet. They also offer a discount if you pay cash. This is always my first choice for a place to get a pedicure with my daughter or my parents, and I would not hesitate to bring a friend from out of town here as well! The owner does the acrylics and he lets me check if I like them before we continue. Nice variety of gel colors. Kid-friendly as well. They have a toy area in the front. The gal who did my nails did an excellent job. My pedi, done by the man, was totally different. I had a flower painted on and he put it on too thick, with no top coat. One nail smudged half off in bed that night because it never hardened. The next day I flew out of town and wore shoes and socks and the socks stuck to my toes because it never set up. Of course I couldn't go back in to have them fixed and had to have another pedi before I left on my cruise. Super disappointed! read more

If I am going to go get my nails done, this is my salon of choice. I always ask for Cindy and she always does a great job. She is very gentle, never cuts you like some of the cheaper places do. She is also really fast, can have you in and out of there in under an hour. I do recommend making an appointment even though walk ins are welcome. But they often have a few people in line so if you don't want to wait, call ahead. read more

I will never come here again. Not only was I rushed through but my full set was a nightmare! Each nail is a different length and shape, at one point he handed me a file and said "you do it" I have multiple cuts on my finger from him going so fast and rough! I was over charged! O MY GOSH!! I will never go their or recommend this place after what i have seen... i went in for a manicure and did not have an app but they said they would take me, the guy their told me to sit down and pointed but i was not sure were he had pointed to, he got annoyed and pointed again so i sat, i waited for a bit and a young girl came and took my nail polish off she did not say much but was the nicest one their.... she got me a bowl to put my hand in and left , then another lady came and rudely took one of my hands out and then went to get a towel and did not even say hi or anything! she started working on me so i tried making conversation and half the time she would nod and the other time just keep doing what she was. she cut me when she was working on my cuticles and put some blue stuff on the cut with out asking me and it burned! I think i got and infection because its been a couple of weeks and that area in red,tender, and almost looks like i have a blood clot under the skin?...Anyways what really shocked me from this place was that while my nail polish was drying the guy and the lady that was working on me started to do some pedi's and first the guy came over by me and pulled a nail file out of the GARBAGE can!!!! to use on his pedicure client!! I thought i must have seen that wrong? then i double checked the can it was marked "trash can" not only did he do that but the lady that worked on me also walked up ( i was about to ask her about what he had just done, because i thought she was coming over to me) and she ALSO took a nail file out of the garbage to use on her pedi customer!!!!! i was HORRIFIED....SHOCKED!! so i left the money for the Mani NO tip and got out of their as fast as i could!! normally i would have said something but i was so shocked i just wanted to get out of their! i will NEVER go their again. read more

First I walk in on a Saturday during the middle of the day and no one asked how I was or if they could help me. The place was dead (that should've been my sign to leave), they were both on their iPads and finally looked up and asked what I wanted. The place looked clean but very tiny. I asked for a full set and looked through their colors and they had barely any. He was staring at me irritated so I decided just to do a French tip, easy enough, you'd think. He didn't do any prepping to my nails and anyone who gets their nails done regularly knows the prep is what makes the nails last and not break off. I was done in 25 minutes and I saw all the nails had noticeable bubbles, I pointed them out thinking he'd fix them; nope. Just stared at me blank with this mouth open. Here I am 4 Days later and my nails are lifting already. NEVER AGAIN. Anyone who is looking for a nail place in Redding and sees their 3 stars and thinks maybe it's a decent place? NEVER GO HERE. My friend and I had just finished up at the tire place around the corner and we had nothing to do while they worked on my truck so we thought we'd get our nails done. When we first walked in it looked great because it was gorgeous inside but there was NOBODY there other than us.. kinda weird. Now I know why. They took 30 minutes just to find my color because they didnt know where anything was and there is literally nail polish all over my fingers... the tips arent completely painted either. Literally a child could have done better. Also when I first walked in I was planning on getting acrylics... Well the man told me that the lady that did acrylics wasnt in today... so you have a nail salon but all you can do is paint them terribly? My experience at Holleywood Nails was NOT Great!! My girlfriend and I went to get a fill and we were there for 2 hrs. They didnt know how to make a snowflake design and the airbrush gun broke in the middle of my design..They doors were open and it was freezing inside how can u let the chemicals dry when it's cold in the room?? The younger girl who was working on my nails had to go over quite a few times with the buffer then the older lady came over and had to re-do the buffing and now they are already lifting the designs look like blobs, the lines on the nails are uneven...and on my friends they didnt have a lighter color and the snowflakes looked like a 5 yr old drew them on....WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Spent way more than what we normally pay..AND WE WILL NEVER GO BACK... And I do tell people where NOT to go to get their nails done!! read more
