I moved away from Redding and recently came back to visit. I went in for a manicure and let's say I was disappointed. It seems VIP has been under new ownership for a while. For my manicure - I did not get a hand massage. The buff tool that was used was not new AND it was digging into my cuticles which hurt. NONE of the tools I used seemed new/sanitized. The cuticle pusher had stuff on it and the tech was grabbing (what I assume was used) tools from under his desk. The water used to soak my hands was cold. The buffer was so worn out and rough, I flinched and pulled back as I was getting my nails buffed out. I did not even get cuticle oil or anything. There was no ventilation either. The polish I picked out was so old it was in a glob and the tech had to add some thinner to it Maybe I'm just spoiled with the nail salons in Orange County where I am from. I will have to say that the main guy everyone goes there for his nails look nice. I saw all the girls who got their nails done walk out with nice shapes and designs. Sadly, my acrylic days have been retired for quite some time.

I was charged $130 for these nails plus I got a regular pedicure and altogether it came out to that amount which seemed very high for me.

This place scammed me when I went to go get my nails done she made me pay $130 claiming that it was because of the jewels and it's not like I was going to say no because she was gonna think I didn't wanna pay or something so I paid it but this was definitely a lesson learned first and last time it definitely seemed like it was a nice place until I was charged this amount also let me add she is saying I added a tip I never did literally never did I say a 10$ tip weird owner she must added that in herself as she is commenting

Thanh is the best in town! He can master any Inspo design requested of him and prices are very reasonable in comparison to other salons. You won't be disappointed!

The first time I went in, I scheduled an appointment on Instagram by the name of thanh lai first experience was okay second time the design I wanted was to much and it didn't come out how I wanted third time I came in I came in with a full set except one nail was off so I needed a fill I sent inspo pic of what I wanted he filled my nails and then started the design and I did not like it it was nothing like the picture I feel like he's rushing every time anyways I had to have him wipe it off and just leave it a solid color I payed 60$ and left respectfully and will not be back

Absolutely stunning nails. I came in with a very specific vision for my nails and they delivered. The technician Michael was absolutely amazing. He's a true artist and was able to complete exactly what I wanted and more. It was an amazing experience watching him work on my nails and seeing the intricacy in his work. He used so many different methods to paint my nails, airbrush, fine detailing and glue for a 3D effect. It was so fun. I absolutely suggest VIP NAILS!

I used to come here many years ago and just started to again. They have changed hands in the last few years and I have to say, the quality of their work has improved! No shade to the last owners, but the techs who work here now clearly like what they do and are super fun! I've now had my dip manicures done by both Michael and kat and each time I leave very satisfied. My nails are healthier than they have been in a very long time. Kat did my manicure this time and she paid super close attention to detail and trimmed up my cuticles as well, which is something I usually have to ask for. She is super friendly and funny too! I'll be coming here from now on. Thanks VIP!

We love VIP! The best nail techs in town they are always down for the crazy designs and are very kindhearted most of the time you don't even need an appointment just give them a call and they can usually get you in!

Basic pedicure- coming from someone who gets pedicures every few weeks- this was hands down the worst looking pedicure I've ever had. You can see for yourself. Very crooked, left with dry skin and terrible paint job- I 100% could have done a better job on myself. When I asked her to straighten them she said she couldn't. Do yourself a favor and never come here or at least don't get Tammy. Also terrible music playing the entire time and freezing cold.

From the outside, VIP nails looks like nothing fancy. They're located in an older part of town that's due for a little facelift. But, don't let that fool you! The interior of the salon is well updated, decorated, and clean. This is a busy family ran business, and they were able to accommodate a few appointments with short notice for us. We arrived on time with no wait and we're serviced right away. What I appreciated the most about this salon was that regardless of how busy they were, they took their time and didn't rush us out. Nothing is worse than treating yourself to a pedicure and being rushed out of there. We were able to relax and enjoy the massage chairs while we received our pedicures. The took their time painting my toes to make sure they were clean and looked professional. With the $45 deluxe package, we received aromatic scrubs, water additives, additional lotions massaged into the skin, hot towels... the entire works! Overall, the service here was great and the prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Redding!

5/5 VIP Nails is hands down the best nail salon I've ever been to. The entire team is incredible, and the service is consistently top-notch. I go to Michael for my nails his designs are unreal! He's so creative, friendly, and truly makes each appointment feel special. He brings my nails to life and always goes above and beyond. For pedicures, Jay is my go-to. He gives the best pedicures and his massages are amazing very relaxing. I've also had a fill done by Ni and she is amazing too! Super precise, gentle, and talented. I went in about 2 weeks ago with my friend we were both from out of town and wanted to have a girls day. we picked this spot because of the ratings and had such a good time. A couple did our nails and they were so funny and friendly. they did such a good job on my nails. I have been back at work and a full time mom and they haven't even budged. I've been doing dishes constantly and they have stay put so well. 10/10 best set I've ever had. really sad I'm 4 hours away from them. thank you guys again! read more

As far as for the quality of work my nails were great. The price was very reasonable. Outside of it taking 3 hours service was good. At 11am called made reservations for two mani/pedi at 2:00. Was told to come at 2:30 because they had openings then. I got there on time and they asked if we could come back in an hour. I had an event at 4:30 so I was explained that's why I made the appointment. They got us started at 2:50. They did our pedicures and then the gentleman who was doing my pedi wasn't aware that I also wanted a manicure. My friend who was next to me got her manicure immediately after pedicure. I had to wait another 40 mins before someone could work on my manicure. Very inconvenient and I was late to my event. read more

Worst pedicure I've had in a long time. It started off rocky when he was mad I didn't want gel (asked me at least 4 times). My water was practically cold and when I asked him to make it warmer he added about 2 seconds worth of water and moved on. The worst of it was the actual pedicure. He VERY gently "scrubbed" my feet for maybe 30 seconds then rubbed my legs with lotion, rinsed them off and applied polish. He basically washed my feet and painted my toes which I could've done myself. Giving 2 stars because at least my nails look good. read more

My daughter and I went here yesterday. We both got pedicures and my daughter got acrylic nails for the first time. All of the employees were very nice. My pedicure came out perfect. My daughter absolutely loved her nails and was so excited they turned out just how she wanted them to. She showed the nail tech a picture of what she wanted and it came out just like the picture. We had a wonderful experience here and will definitely be back. They accept card but do prefer cash just a heads up. read more

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! I moved to Redding about 10 months ago when it was owned by Dang & his wife Emily and I loved it. Ever since Tina & her hubby Leo took over, I love it even more! They always do a spectacular job for both mani & pedi, and they're so friendly every single time I go in! If you treat them with respect, you will get respect back. They're very patient with me, as I usually bring my infant baby with me since I have no one to watch her, and they treat me like family. If my daughter starts to get fussy, they let me use their spare room to nurse and/or change her as needed-- and I always tip great because they're so accommodating. Although, I'm definitely gonna have to get some one to watch my daughter now that she's growing so quickly and not sleeping through everything anymore. I have lived in multiple states & all over California & the Spa Pedicure at VIP Nails is one of the best pedicures I have ever had! Emily did such an amazing job, I didn't want it to end... my feet are smooth, soft & my toenails are little pieces of artwork! The staff was very friendly & very skilled at what they do. The shop was relaxing & very clean, I felt pampered the whole time. I really liked the individual liners for the foot baths & how careful everyone was to make sure everything was hygienic. VIP Nails, one word AMAZING, so friendly and nice . Always so sweet and welcoming when I'm there. I take all my friends there, and they love them. I'm very picky on my nails , and they always do the BEST work. At very good prices , everyone in Redding always ask where I get them done at . I made an appointment for a gel fill for me and a gel pedicure for my mom. This was our first time here since we are from out of town. Dang did my fill and we didn't get the name of the guy who did my moms pedicure but they both did amazing jobs! Everyone there is so nice and friendly! We will be in the Anderson/Redding area quite a bit for the next few months and we plan on going back for our fills and more pedicures. Thank you so very much for the great relaxing experience. I brought my grandparents here for mani/pedis. it was all of our first time and we all loved it! the people are amazing. i had Emily, my grandmother had Mimi, and my grandpa has Lin. they were all so sweet, easy to understand and considerate. the best part for me was how my grandparents said they were very gentle. both my grandparents have sensitive skin and always experience a little pain when they go to their salon but claim that here at VIP they didn't have discomfort once. 100% bringing them here again, this is my forever salon read more

Michael did another amazing job he kills it every time! My shape is always amazing they last so long. They never lift and my hands are in water all the time. I am very picky and he makes sure I am pleased each time. My toes are always done so great by anyone. Lane did my toes and made sure they were to my liking before moving on! Love this Very clean, Friendly and organized business! I have tried a few different nail salons in the Redding area and truly enjoy coming here to get my acrylic sets and gel pedicures! I have come to this nail salon since they opened. The staff is friendly, professional and do a great job. I enjoy the time I spend here. I love the fact that they use a tub liner for each pedicure so there is no question about cleanliness of the tubs and they open new tools for each pedicure.
