First of all, when buffing my heels, the technician left them feeling rough, uneven, and unfinished. I didn't notice until I got home, took a shower, and put on socks, but the dry skin on my heels kept catching on the fabric... definitely not what I expected after a pedicure. As a treat, my husband paid for me to get my nails done about a week and a half ago. I went with my cousin because she already had an appointment, and we were spending the day together. From the moment I sat down, the nail tech kept commenting on the fact that I bite my nails. She repeatedly told me she "can't do bitten nails" and joked about it throughout the appointment. I've been getting my nails done on and off for nearly 40 years, and while I've always been a nail biter, I've never once had a nail tech tell me they couldn't do my nails because of it. She also seemed annoyed by the design I chose. I even told her we could do something different if it was too much trouble, but the whole appointment felt uncomfortable and honestly a little humiliating. When I got home and was able to look more closely, I noticed the work was pretty sloppy. The top coat was uneven and didn't fully cover some areas, there was acrylic and glue on my cuticles, and the nails were much shorter than I wanted. Overall, I wasn't happy with how they looked, but I didn't want to go back because of how I had been treated. This morning, I woke up to a huge chunk of polish completely missing from my thumbnail. I went to another salon that I used to go to, and they agreed the work was sloppy and that the polish should not be coming off after only a week and a half. I am truly frustrated. read more

Went for pedicure with a friend. An older woman did mine and did a great job. A young man did my friend's. He was a novice as he needed some guidance from the other tech. While trimming my friend's toenails, he clipped her toe and she let him know that it hurt. The woman tech just said, " Whoops! Accidents happen." The kid never tried to apologize and no compensation was made on the bill. Never go back. read more

After a previous disappointing experience, I gave this salon several more chances hoping things would improve. Today, I came in for a pedicure. The pedicure itself was thorough and well done, but the polish and design were very disappointing. The paint was applied unevenly and feels rough, and I don't expect it to last more than a day or two before chipping. The design doesn't match on each foot and lacks the clean, polished look you would expect--especially for an added charge. I understand not everyone is skilled at doing nail designs, and that's okay. However, it would be more professional to ask a coworker for help or be upfront if you're not confident, rather than proceed and charge for a result that clearly isn't done well. I have been going to Sky Nail Spa every 4 weeks for 6 months and have never had problems. This last time I went with my grandaughter to get a pedicure and manicure fill. The pedicure went fine and the same nail tech who I think was new started to do my fill and manicure. You could tell she didn't know what she was doing because her coworkers were helping her with the materials. My suspicions were correct because the next day my polish was cracking and coming off. I've gotten my nails done here four times now. They accept walk-ins but it would be best to call ahead for an appointment or check for availability. Pedicure: it's a hit or miss. I would not recommend paying extra for the deluxe. I got the deluxe pedicure which was supposed to include a leg massage but it was brief and did not last even 5 minutes. Stick with the basic pedicure. Dip nails: there's only one technician that can do dip nails and it's also a hit or miss. Out of my 3 dip nail sets, only one turned out nicely and exactly how i like it to look (and how other salons do dip). He applies the dip on very thick. I tried to communicate with him that I'd like it filed down slimmer and my nails more of a rounded square but he was not willing to oblige. My last visit felt very rushed. He did not apply the product on evenly and some nails cracked after 5 days. read more

i have been doing my nails for over 20 years and have never experienced this type of horrible treatment. Three days after they did my manicure, the nails polishes began to chip off. I went back to them to get it fixed. The lady who I believe is the owner offered to apply the same nail polish for free. But I declined cos I did not trust that the same nail poliish will last. So, I asked for a different color. she assured me that the new nail polish is gel and will last. She charged me 15 dollars for changing the color. Well, 2 days after applying the new nail polish color, they began to chip again. This time, my natural nails became thin and brittle. All my ten nails began to burn. it has been three weeks and my natural nails are still thin, brittle and painful. I have to wait until after my nails heal to do any type of manicure. NEVER AGAIN will I go to this nail salon. I believe they are using fake nail polishes that are possibly dangerous for my nails. I may seek legal action if my pain continues. I wish I can give them a 0 rate. read more
