I pointed it out to my nail tech and she didn't fix it. She just painted over it with clear coat and pretty much shooed me away. I felt like she really rushed it. She didn't buff one whole hand. I'm really sad because this is the first time I've gotten my nails done in years. The vibe was not the best. It felt like they are constantly trying to up-charge or sell you something. I completely understand that they are trying to get as much business as possible but this is not the way to go about it. I was a bit uncomfortable. I eventually stopped coming due to health issues, but also because of the way I witnessed them treat not only me, but my mom, my sister, and other customers. I understood that appointments were necessary, and when I did make appointments, I was sometimes treated fairly. However, I repeatedly witnessed the way other customers were spoken to and treated, which ultimately made me decide to take my business elsewhere. Yesterday, I decided to give them one last chance, and unfortunately, my experience confirmed why I had stopped coming. I walked in without an appointment, and the salon was essentially empty. I understood there was one customer being serviced, so I expected there might be a wait. I asked Vivian if I could get a Gel-X set and a pedicure. After talking amongst themselves, I was told there would be about an hour wait. I said that was completely fine and that I would come back. I noticed they closed at 7 PM, and they told me to come back around 6:30 PM. Because I have personally experienced being rushed when getting services close to closing time, I politely asked, "Are you sure that's a good time? I don't want you to feel rushed, and I don't want to feel rushed either." Instead of simply reassuring me or suggesting another time, Nancy responded, "Well, don't come then." That comment was completely unnecessary and, honestly, was the final straw for me. I simply walked out. A few minutes later, I called Vivian, who I believe is the owner, to explain how rude and disrespectful. I told her that the comment was unnecessary and she stayed quiet. What makes this especially disappointing is that this place used to be so nice and welcoming. I remember when the staff genuinely seemed to care about their customers. Unfortunately, based on my past experiences, what I have witnessed with other customers, and the recent experience, it feels like customer service is no longer a priority. These were supposed to be my birthday nails, which made the experience even more disappointing. I used to come here for my birthday every year, so it honestly meant something to me to continue that tradition. But after yesterday, I know I won't be returning. I ended up going to a new place in Pico Rivera called Glossie Nail Spa. I explained what I wanted, they welcomed me as a walk-in, offered me a margarita, and walked me through the entire process. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and genuinely made me feel like a valued customer. I will definitely be taking my business there moving forward. I don't normally leave negative reviews, especially for a business I supported for so many years, but loyalty should go both ways. After being a customer since 2019, I expected to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience this time.

During my pedicure, the nail technician scrubbed the side of my foot so aggressively that she caused a painful wound and broke the skin. I told her that she was hurting me, but she continued to scrub aggressively. The photo I've attached shows the injury caused during the service. The pedicure was also supposed to include a 7-minute deep-tissue foot massage, which I did not receive. She lightly rubbed my feet for approximately one minute instead. The water was also extremely cold. I asked her to make it warmer, but she did nothing. After the service, I explained that I was unhappy with the experience and asked for some Neosporin because my foot had been injured. Instead, she poured rubbing alcohol directly onto the open wound without warning, which was extremely painful. I had originally planned to get a manicure as well, but after having the worst pedicure of my life, I decided against it. Despite the injury and the services that were not provided, she still expected me to pay the full price for the upgraded pedicure. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the technician became extremely confrontational and began yelling at me. She accused me of having been there before and claimed that I had previously complained about the color. I told her that I had never been to this salon before, but she continued insisting that I was lying. She then turned around and loudly told both the other employees and customers in the salon that I had been there before and was lying. I was publicly and falsely accused of lying and yelled at in front of everyone simply for expressing my concerns about the service. I have never experienced anything like this at a nail salon. Not only was I physically injured during the service, but I was also verbally attacked and publicly humiliated when I tried to express my concerns. The entire experience was incredibly upsetting and anxiety-inducing. The photo attached is the injury I received during the pedicure. I would strongly recommend avoiding this salon. I do not feel that the service I received was safe, professional, or acceptable.
