About a year ago my mother noticed a special on the billboard at Queen City Storage and decided to get us a storage space. It has been great for storing a lot of my stuff while I've been in college. My mother also keeps her Christmas decorations and tree in there! We have a small space inside a large complex of storage. Just the perfect size to have it be an extra place to put things. The space is about 11' x 6' (an estimation) and has pretty high ceilings. The interior floor is concrete. I have no fear of my stuff being damaged. Nothing has gotten wet so far. However I still recommend taking precautions as to what is on the floor. Stack the things you don't want to get wet on top of bins that can get wet. I would think that with a heavy rain or flood that this is possible. The facility is really secure. All around are barb wired fences. To get in you need a special code and password and then the gate opens for you. It closes behind each car and looks pretty scary. No one would want to get caught in that thing! Queen City Self Storage got a new look not long ago. All the buildings are different colors and the whole place looks like a rainbow! read more

I don't recommend this storage facility. First, it's not clean. The storage unit was dirty when I took possession of it, so I had to clean it myself and put a protective rug down on the floor before I could move my property into it. Also, they don't offer climate controlled units and I don't recommend storing anything of value here. I stored my property at this facility for a couple of years and recently discovered that some of my property is water-damaged and reeks of mildew. Next, the customer service is also severely lacking. It's difficult to get through to the staff in the office as they are often too busy to answer the phone or return calls. In fact, I was charged a late fee one month because I wasn't able to get through to the office to make my monthly payment by phone. Of course, Queen City refused to waive the late fee. Horrible customer service. Queen City finally set up an on-line payment system, but it's like something from the 1990s. read more

This is a very good storage company. Helpful and friendly staff, good rates and easy location.

I'm a nurse and have limited time off. I store a trailer with my kayak. I was excited to have a day off to take my kayak out on the river. When I went to pick it up the door on my unit was broken. A spring had broken and there was no way of opening it. At first I was so upset. But the care and response of that staff was immeasurable. My plans were ruined and I wasn't able to do what I was looking forward to doing bcs my property was behind an unopenable door. And while it's so inconvenient, it was not in anyone's control. And the staff at Queen City Storage were apologetic, kind, and did everything they could to fix it immediately. Definitely a five star rating for me despite the disappointment of not being able to take my boat out on the river. read more

I rented a unit here for about 9 months. Very friendly staff, clean areas, reasonable rates.

I stored at this place for about a year in a covered carport type space in the back. Over that time, it has gone down hill. The fences are lined with dilapidated, broken down cars, boats and other vehicles. There are signs now that renters have placed asking for vandals to STOP dumping and vandalizing their property. Most recently, someone stole the tongue jack off of my boat and left a car battery under it instead. This required serious time and tools. The thieves would have had to jack up the boat, remove the 4 bolts that were BEHIND a spare tire, and then drop the jack so it would land on the battery. No one NOTICED??? When we reported it to the office, they weren't even apologetic! They simply said it was at our own risk and we could call the police. ISN'T THIS A SECURE FACILITY?? We had only left it there 5 days prior, so they should have video surveillance, right? They didn't offer to do anything, not even help us identify when it happened in those 5 days and by whom. We pulled our boat out and do not intend to store anything there. Clearly the clientele for this place is trash. read more

I have no experience with the Self Storage portion of the business. If you are renting a U-Haul, this is the place to do it. When I moved into Cincinnati, I did a one way move and dropped the truck I used off at Queen City. They called me to tell me I was supposed to drop it off at a different U-Haul place. (completely my mistake) They took it upon themselves to sort it out for me, no charge. (Saved me an extra day of truck renting charge because I couldn't go move the truck till the next day) Later in the year I moved to a different apartment in Cincinnati. I went to Queen City to rent a truck, absolutely a great decision, the staff goes out of their way to help you out. Very nice, helpful, fast staff. They have plenty of moving supplies (mattress bags, packing paper, rope, boxes) and they have plenty of U-Haul Accessories (moving pads, dollies, ect.) I need a truck just to move some stuff in storage, and I'm driving across town out of my way to get a truck from here. Queen City is the best. read more

Rented a ten foot truck, arrive at their parking lot to pick up for a local move. There's a 10 ft truck in the lot but they tell me that I have to take a 14 bc they're out of ten! Charged for the 14 and then try to extend the reservation by a day. I got a conformation via phone call of the extension at the higher rate for the 14 ft truck. An hour before they closed, they call my fiancé and tell him he has to return this truck bc its reserved the next day or else it will be over 100 dollars. So much for first come first served??? They broke our contract with no consequence and forced us to reserve an expensive storage unit that was still open and would give us 24 hour access to immediately unload our truck to return it that night. We worked from dawn until 2:30 am because of this moronic management! We also filled up the truck when we returned it to find that we had to put far more fuel in than we used, so we didn't get it with a full tank either. This is unacceptable service. Don't risk giving them business, their contracts clearly mean nothing for the customers!! read more
