However the storage unit rented was not clean nor did it have a door that was of working conditions.. had a handle that cut your hand every time opened or closed. Had I known before truck was loaded to move things in would not have moved things. Even with moisture damp-dry things still became molded. Damp-dry was replaced once a month. So between the mold damage- cost of Damp-dry containers- cost of unit it was not a good deal.. lower cost than others to start but not at the end. Cut hand several times on the lock.. I left there with damaged hutch and cut hand. But did clean it out better than it was when I moved in.. if your not going to leave things in long or it's not wood your good. One more thing payments made on regular basis each month same time, received calls twice that on the DAY they normally get check they, didn't receive.. then the office said "But we did not have any mail, maybe because it wasn't normal postman." What, like why did you call wait till next day or two days after.. but the day we normally get it we didn't! Still wasn't late because I paid a month before each due date.

I was not pressured into trying to buy something, I wasn't told about the deal that ends today and told if I buy tomorrow it will cost more. Not of that garbage. Since I am in Liberty Twp, he even recommend I check on zoning, which I did and this reminded me why I don't like government at times... Money for nothing and taxes for everything. Even just to replace my existing unit a building permit ok, I get that, but if I went bigger than I need a second building permit and to file multiple copies of a building plan... ugh Can't I just email one copy and you send it. Sorry for the rant. These people are the best in the area, come see them if you need a shed or a small garage, or make it into a large playhouse for the kids. They have you covered.

Upon moving my property out of the unit, signing the vacate notice, leaving the unit empty and clean the regional manager "Sam" charged my account for the storage fee the following month after I vacated. I called them to make them aware of the error. They were pleasant at 1st and reimbursed my money that morning, however that afternoon they again charged my account for the storage rent. I spoke to them on the phone through out the week as well as went to the business to try to resolve the issue. The manager " Sam" became very rude and nasty. He said " I reimbursed your money, why would I need your money I have a 35 million dollar business." I showed him my bank statement where he double charged my account in 1 day. He became extremely obnoxious and said " Lady I told you I make millions of dollars a year, I don't need your money, I'm not reimbursing you" he refused to place the money back into my account. I'm paying for empty unit 7113. I'm sure he's robbed other's to make his millions. Pathetic!

This was my first time ever needing a storage unit. Ashleigh was extremely friendly and more than willing to educate me on how everything worked. She personally drove me to my unit in a golf cart since I was worried about getting lost. When I realized I was going to need a bigger unit she happily helped me get a different unit that same day. All around a very relaxed and welcoming experience. The price is the best around too.

We used another company prior to switching to Best Self Self Storage and was unhappy with the other company's service from persistent billing issues to cleanliness of the property. Best Self Storage is immaculate, not just the individual units but the entire property and their staff are truly nice people. I would recommend this business to friends and family in need of storage space. Positively a five star rating!
