They had a special going where the second month was free and the rental price was good. We were dealing with the general manager for the West Chester location, Alicia. We both asked her whether this was an introductory price and if it was only an introductory price, how long the introductory price period will be in place. She specifically told us that this was not an introductory price and that the price we were quoted is what the price is and it will not change in the near future. First lie. Therefore, based on the information that she provided to us, we rented the unit and reserved a second 10'x30' unit to move items over from other storage units we rent and were considering renting a third 10'x30' unit. We spent three entire days moving items over to the unit from our recently deceased daughter's house and filled the unit. Today, Alicia tells us, that the price quoted was for only the first month, the second month is free and then the price will return to the normal price, which is much higher than the price she quoted, but she cannot, or will not, disclose what the normal price is. As the general manager, it is not believable that she does not know the regular price for the units there. Second lie. She flat out lied to us when we asked her whether the price she quoted us was an introductory price or not. We would have NEVER rented a unit there if she provided the correct information that the price quoted would change to a much higher price in month three. Now we have to move everything out within two months. We requested to speak with her manager and she provided the first name of her manager, Dave, and provided a phone number to contact him. However, when we called that number it is only an automated system where we can only leave a message, it was not Dave's number. Third lie. Alicia also stated that she does not know her boss's last name or his direct phone number. Fourth and fifth lies. Beware of the lies and deception here. It is a shame that they build such a nice facility that has a pretty facade to cover up such terrible business practices. Do not be deceived by the fancy building or the lies they provide you. You will move your items in and then either pay much more or have to move your items back out. We have been attempting to reach the DM by leaving a voicemail and through the online chat without any success. With everything we are dealing with after our daughter passed away, they just kicked us when we are down.

During the move floors were unprotected and gouged and scratched and walls were also scratched and gouged. A 3 piece wall unit was ripped apart without the connecting bolts removed. In addition, 2 of the 6 glass doors were broken. A dryer and freezer were both damaged and the freezer stopped working. Parts were left anywhere. For example, 2 futons were taken apart. At the new house futon parts were found in the garage, some in the kitchen and others in the basement. Shelves to a bookcase were not found. Trash was left behind in our yard after they left. This is not a comprehensive list, just the major highlights. I filed a claim, and almost 4 months later here are the results. The damages to floors and walls cost over $1600 to fix. They offer $0 to repair. The bookcase cost $1100 30 years ago, and $7000 to replicate. They offer $850. The freezer reimbursement offer was $60. I elected $10,000 insurance, but you see the results of my claim submission.
