WARNING: CAMPER STOLEN WHILE AT ADVANTAGE STORAGE. DO NOT STORE ANYTHING HERE!…read moreMy travel trailer was STOLEN from Advantage Storage on February 12, 2026. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY! Advantage Storage allowed a person to open an account online and did not follow procedures to verify ID and have an in-person meeting to ensure the ID matches the person. They gave this unseen person a gate code/access. Two weeks later, Advantage saw someone using the new code for the first time and walking around. The person was asked to leave since they did not match the ID on the account. After my camper was STOLEN and they saw the parking spot empty, cut-off lock, jack blocks, awning stuck on the fence, and awning parts scattered along the entry/exit did they notify me. THEY TOOK TWO DAYS TO CALL. When they called, they asked if I "had left things" in my spot. Confused about what they were alluding to, she repeated several times wording related to "things are left there" or "items left out." Never stating my camper was completely gone (to CYA themselves), I called police. Management admitted it was taken from their facility and handed me pieces of the awning.
Footage revealed the thieves returned a few days after being told to leave. They came at dark, knew where the cameras were, and parked a stolen U-Haul to hide the camera facing my camper. They cut the hitch lock, hitched it up, and drove away with my camper. NO, ADVANTAGE WOULD NOT GIVE ME ANY VIDEO FOOTAGE. NO, THEY DID NOT OFFER TO HELP. They prorated my fees for the month; how kind. Police were not able to solve the case and were only a source of frustration with his inexperience and lack of time to dedicate to my case. Police said, "It has insurance." My camper was found in a drug den, completely trashed, in Mt. Airy, along with three stolen motorcycles, an abandoned car, and said U-Haul. Gone is the hard work I put into buying and stocking the camper; gone is my family's ability to enjoy camping and outings. Advantage Management insinuated my camper only sits in its spot, unused. My camper had not moved for over a year while I battled cancer. After beating cancer, I had to deal with this horrible storage facility, poor detective and police work from both Fairfield and Colerain police. Moral of the story: don't put anything valuable here; no one will help get it back or even charge the druggies held at gunpoint by 7 officers to get them out of my camper. No one is charged; all are scot-free, and I have no camper. SAVE YOURSELF THE MASSIVE HEADACHE I WENT THROUGH. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING.
