Today I called to end my usage after almost two years and Tim took care of it without a problem.

You make it impossible to protect yourself from being robbed if you use this deceptive, poor excuse for a business. It's deceptive acts like the ones this company is KNOWN for that we are supposed to be protected from. I'm guessing most your unhappy customers went with jumping on one of your many class actions over complaining to FTC,BBB, etc. You mislead about the units themselves, waiting to send the info in a link via email AFTER payment is stupid. You should provide the info right when payment is made and for the amount of money you take from people like me.. single mothers who just need to pay for a service and not deal with hassle.. you should be able to at least outsource for customer service.. So how do you get away with charging for something you don't provide? I'm asking on here because leaving reviews is the only way i even get that generic email with the phone number that only lists 2 options before letting you know you're not getting help. So does this mean the units are unsafe if nobody can even be reached? Is like a neon sign over your things letting anyone needing to steal where to go *(just as long as you go whenever you want and take everything you need before they hire someone to tell you to leave an fffiinng review every few days

The fact that everything is controlled via an app adds a level of safety and security to an already nice space. The billing and payments are handled smoothly and the whole process was quick.

In person, the staff here has been okay. Not nasty or rude, but not particularly knowledgeable…read more They are quick to send you to the Public Storage customer service, though Public Storage customer service will then tell you that the local property manager is the only one that can make the call. Circular hell, essentially. Most importantly, I got this storage unit in August 2023 because I was moving out of state (this piece of information shared so you know that I couldn't just fly back and move my items to another storage unit when/if I wanted to) at $78/mo (inclusive of the insurance I couldn't cancel). Within 5 months of move-in, my rate went up to $117/mo (an 85% increase). By July of 2024, I was told my rate would advance to $138/mo. After a call to both the property manager and the corporate office, they agreed to hold off increasing my rate for 3 additional months, and then, to add insult to injury, I received another rate increase for Jan 2025. When I called again to discuss this egregious advancement of rate increases, when a new unit the same size is STILL ADVERTISED at this location for $84/month, with no time limit on that price (meaning, it is not advertised as a temporary, 3 month rate just to get you in the door), I am told that I'm not a new customer, therefore, I am not eligible for that price. But, when I ask why prices have gone up so high, they tell me it's because they have to raise it to be in line with the market...Back to illogical, circular hell. Further, I've received the run-around on the insurance. They told me repeatedly that I had to bring my documents in person to cancel my insurance (but I can opt in to paperless for my account...), and to call Public Storage corporate to try and do it electronically (did I mention I moved out of the state, and I wasn't allowed to opt out of insurance to begin with?), they told me only the property manager can allow it. Then, I couldn't escalate it because my new driver license didn't match the one on file...but I could go to any Public Storage to change that (but not online while logged in). Can you see how this gets both circular and clearly untrue/ill-informed? For all those here, the real answer is you have to log in on a desktop, or visit orangedoorstorageinsurance.com. You do NOT have to upload documentation. You simply have to sign an (electronic) waiver stating that you are aware of the risks and carry other insurance. So, to summarize...no one that works for Public Storage, locally or with corp customer service has any idea of this information that took me 10 min of digging to find. You can believe they work for PS and have never seen the website, read a document, been onboarded, or you can believe they're doing this on purpose. I can't believe an entire organization is just that uninformed about their own business... Space is clean and secure. Price-gouging activity: also secure. Don't move in unless you're ready to move out again in 3 months or pay more than double within in a year for the same space. Don't bother with customer service or the local property manager. They're trying to mislead you into just paying your bill (whatever they've set it at that month, since it's month to month only). Deceptive business practices, and NOT customer-friendly. Any class action lawyers reading...PS is ripe.
