Mitsubishi 18k BTU ceiling cassette
John W.

We were referred to Qualtech by Mitsubishi. From planning, to site survey, contract, and installation, the service and sales from the Qualtech office staff and the crew was excellent. Everyone was very responsive. We replaced our 50+ year-old central forced-air gas furnace. They installed a 30k BTU Mitsubishi Mini Split heat pump with three zones and completely demoed and removed the old furnace (more space in the basement!). Our installers, Elijah and Eddie, were punctual and neat, even while cutting and framing three ceiling holes for the ceiling cassette units (we preferred these to the typical older-style wall mounted min-split units) and we had no errant dust in the house. Once complete the system worked perfectly without any issues, the workmanship was excellent. Thank you also to Daniel and Erika for our project, they really cared about us as customers.

Calvey Heating and Air

Years ago the apartment complex I lived at contracted Calvey to install mini-split A/C in the…read moreapartment I was in. The install was amazing quality! So much so that it gave me the confidence to buy my first home without A/C because I knew I could just call Calvey. A few years later I did just that. Damn, it's been a couple of months now and I've been able to control the climate of my entire house from my phone, optimizing the temperature and sometimes making it as low as 66F to just enjoy the air being crisp. The install has been fantastic quality and the crew listened to everything I wanted every step of the way. They mounted rat spikes where I wanted, they put the lines and the units exactly where I asked and I've had no issues at all. I truly believe with home price comparisons in my area that I made money off of the install because it increased my home value. My golden retriever is happy, I am 100% happy and I will see you guys again next home upgrade. :)

Quite unimpressed. Called and spoke to their receptionist girl, who was ok, seems to not know much,…read moredeflects questions and avoids clear answers, but that's not the problem. I send plans and followed up more than twice with direct emails and voicemails. Nothing. No call, no text, no email. No response at all. Clowns! Maybe they're too busy filming awful commercials lol... call them and that's what you'll be paying for! These guys may be ok, but I'll never know and I'll never call them again because they're very unprofessional. They misrepresent 'free estimates'... liars. Find someone else is my recommendation! Bad service, zero communication. FAIL.

Crawlspace Clean - Encapsulation Barrier

Crawlspace Clean

Professional, thorough, and highly recommended…read more Crawlspace Clean did a great job. The entire process was professional and efficient, and the work was completed quickly. The crews who handled the cleaning and installed the encapsulation barrier were clearly well trained, knew what they were doing, and understood how to work respectfully in a client's home. I especially appreciated that they put down plastic to protect our floors each day and removed it before leaving. Carlos, the foreman, and his team took the time to explain their plan and answer all my questions. We were referred to Crawlspace Clean after rats chewed through our soft-sided HVAC ducts. We came home to find insulation and bits of duct material blowing out of our registers. Russell inspected the crawlspace and also identified higher-than-desired humidity levels. He recommended a 20-mil reinforced vapor barrier with a perimeter termination bar to help address the moisture issue. The work was handled in stages. First, California Rodent Solutions sealed the house against further rodent intrusions and set traps. Then Crawlspace Clean's team removed the old rat nests, debris, and even a mummified rat, followed by disinfectant and antimicrobial cleaning. They then installed the new encapsulation barrier. We're hopeful that the improved moisture control will eliminate the "wet dirt" smell we've experienced after the first significant rains and help keep the crawlspace drier. Bob, the general manager, provided before-and-after photos, which Carlos also walked me through, and offered to return after the first significant rain to make sure everything is working as intended. I did my homework before hiring Crawlspace Clean, including reading their Yelp reviews, and I can confirm that the high ratings are well deserved. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for professional, thorough crawlspace cleaning and encapsulation work.

I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Crawl Space Clean…read moreto save others from the same costly mistake. The main issues boil down to three things: excessive pricing, sub-par workmanship, and a very short warranty period. About a year ago, I discovered a bad rodent infestation. Looking for a quick solution, I made the mistake of hiring Crawl Space Clean without getting multiple bids. I spent over $14,000 on rodent-proofing and subfloor insulation replacement, only for the rodents to return. When I called them back, I was informed that my one-year warranty had already expired. They charged me extra just to patch entry holes they had missed during the initial job. During that same visit, they claimed I now needed a vapor barrier, quoting me an astronomical $16,000--though they offered a high-pressure "$500 discount" if I signed the contract that very day. Feeling suspicious, I finally did what I should have done at the start and called three other highly rated contractors for estimates. Every single one of them came back with quotes under $7,600 (less than half of Crawl Space Clean's price), and all of them included a 3-year rodent warranty. Furthermore, the contractor I ultimately hired to install the vapor barrier pointed out that the subfloor insulation previously installed by Crawl Space Clean had inadequate support and was already sagging. Learn from my expensive lesson: always get multiple bids, and avoid this company.
