I have to commend the team's quick response and the accountability they showed when things went wrong. From the start, they were responsive and had availability that worked with my schedule. On the day of the service, they were also transparent about their arrival window, which gave me the flexibility to get other things done instead of waiting around for the entire time slot. Where things went wrong was with the first team that came out. They seemed to be in a rush and, rather than listening to my concerns or my request to pay for the previously discussed deep cleaning service, they insisted that I didn't understand and that there was nothing to worry about with my dryer. I trusted their judgment in the moment and proceeded with the standard cleaning. It wasn't until after they left, when they suggested replacing the vent next year, that I decided to inspect it myself. That was when I discovered they hadn't even moved the dryer to vacuum around it, despite doing exactly that for my other dryer in a different location. In the end, I had essentially paid $90 for them to brush about five inches of duct from the outside vent to where the flexible duct connected to the dryer, something I could have easily done myself. What was even more concerning was that when I disconnected the duct, it was still full of lint, dust, and debris. The reason I'm still giving them a good rating is because of how they handled the situation after I called to explain why the service felt like a rip off. They immediately scheduled a return visit for the next day with a different team. When the new technicians arrived, they took full ownership of the previous team's mistakes and completed a proper deep cleaning. They also inspected the work that had been done during the first visit to make sure everything was corrected. By the time they left, they had restored my confidence. I tried to clean the dryer air duct myself, and as a result the brush got stuck inside the duct. We contacted Bay Services and OMG, it was a great experience from the very beginning! Eric (Thomas E.), who handled the communication, was super responsive and quick to schedule the appointment. They even went above and beyond and moved the visit one day earlier because we have kids and need the dryer running. The guys who came were amazing! They removed the stuck brush super quickly, cleaned the duct, and inspected ALL the air ducts in the house, including measuring the airflow power. They even checked the AC and furnace upstairs. Really great experience from start to finish. They came out for an HVAC duct cleaning and, during the process, discovered that one of my first-floor ducts had a tear in the crawl space. They recommended replacing the ducts since mine were older and less efficient than modern ones, and they provided a very reasonable estimate to replace all of the first-floor ductwork. Communication throughout was excellent--fast responses and clear, thorough explanations. I needed the ducts fixed quickly, and they were able to schedule me with the same technicians just one day after the estimate. They returned and did a fantastic job replacing all of the ducts. They also went above and beyond by helping me assess a sump pump issue while they were in the crawl space, making extra trips down at my request. Our ducts were noticeably cleaner after the cleaning, and the new downstairs ductwork has been working great since the replacement. I would highly recommend them for any HVAC duct work. read more

The team just finished cleaning my 16 air ducts, which cost $440 (cash) in 1hr 40min. I feel mixed about the service as the hourly rate was very high. I recommend looking into whether air duct cleaning is necessary (EPA website has great resources), and if so, which air duct cleaning method you prefer (truck-mounted negative air pressure, air brushing, portable compressor etc.). This company uses a portable compressor and a shop vac. They used shoe protectors but no other protection with the equipment on my cream carpet, and I noticed some damage (pulls) to the carpet once they left. They didn't check for asbestos-containing materials prior to starting, nor did they check my duct work before or after the work. They also didn't check my furnace; just the filter after they finished. However they did provide photos of the work and were very responsive via text which I appreciated. read more

I was incredibly impressed by Bay Services, and especially with the technicians Elkhan and Emin. First off, their office was easy to communicate with, and were incredibly responsive - able to schedule a service call much faster than we expected might be possible. Our dryer vent cleaning service went perfectly: The technicians were very professional, as well as incredibly honest: Upon initial inspection, there was some concern whether the dryer vent might have needed a much-more-involved repair (e.g. fixing a broken pipe). But while they brought up the concern - to ensure my spouse and I were aware - once they investigated more details, they realized that such an additional effort was NOT actually necessary, and WERE able to successfully complete the vent cleaning as needed. In addition, while we had scheduled a cleaning of our bathroom fans, once they inspected each of them, they realized they were NOT in need of cleaning, so did not pursue this - and did not charge us for that work.
