My relatively new dryer started being sluggish and then the vent clean light came on. My dryer sits in the middle of my house and has a 30 foot vent so the vacuum cleaner didn't do much. Not wanting to burn my dryer out I made a phone call at 9am yesterday-they said between 11-1 they would have someone here. The knock on our door was at 11:15. Their technician pointed out that both of the accordion pieces were leaking lint and apparently that is a sign they are full, so I contracted with him to replace those as well. 6 pounds of lint was removed, two accordion pieces were replaced.He was courteous and professional and done in about an hour. My clients dryer wasn't working and the diagnosis was that there was no air going through the pipe. The home had about 2 90 degree turns which made it difficult to service since the line was over 20 feet long. This was a relatively old system and had almost no airflow. When the tech came to the house, within about an hour of my initial call, he got to work right away with his set of tools. After about an hour working from both ends, he was able to remove the lint build up from years of neglect. Without this service we would have had to rip open drywall and spend way more than their call fee for the repair. I've had issues with a 3 year old dryer. After failed appointments with two companies, I found Duct Cleaning Services, Inc. They were pleasant and sent a technician out within 4 hours. Because I don't have a crawl space, he vacuumed the air duct from inside the house. There was a lot of lint. Two days later I used the dryer and it wasn't doing the job so I called them back. Within 1/2 hour the technician was back at my house. He said he needed to get up on the roof to check the lint release. With his tallest ladder he could not find a way to get to the roof. Instead of giving up, he piled up big pavers that I had stacked as extras. Crazy. I held the ladder while he climbed up to the second floor roof. He said the cap was pushed all the way down so there was no air flow. Done. Fixed. Whew. I will be calling them each year in July to clean my air ducts! read more

Quick scheduling and weekend availability. Came with machinery on wheels to my downtown complex, which other cleaners had refused to do saying they could only service single family homes. Came right in the window they quoted, also a nice bonus. They moved quick and got all the vents and system done in our 2 bedroom condo in just about an hour. The workers were quick and professional. They were kind enough to show me and "teach" me about hvac systems while they worked. And how I can change the filters in the future between cleanings. Normally, I don't want to give any bad review, but I think I should do this time because it was the worst services I've ever received from all trade professionals I have ever dealt with. We called for the service of Air Duct Cleaning and Dry Vent Cleaning for the price of $500 after they gave us discounts of bundle services. Appointment was on time and the air duct cleaning was just fine. We had stackable washer/dryer machines and the technician, Jason, took a photo behind the dryer and saw the slightly bend of the dryer vent pipe. He showed me photos and quoted me for $250 to change the foil duct and said my machine may not blow air out if the duct was slightly bend. I thought he overpriced for the changing duct service. He made assumption that he could not proof and try to charge me more for that. Beware!! this guys will quote and overcharge you at the spot, when they see something that they could take advantages of you when you can't do it yourself. Finally he didn't clean dryer vent foil duct the behind of the machine, but went up to my roof to find the dryer vent pipe, he opened the cover and only use his hand to pull some dusts out from the top. NOT even use machine to suck the dust out from the pipe. That is what they did for my dryer vent cleaning!! I feel I was ripped off and overcharged, and was disappointed with the technician and manager of this company. They are too greedy, and provided poor services. read more

Super quick turnaround for a quote request. We had a date nailed down using messages on Yelp without ever having to speak on the phone! The team showed up on the day within the specified window and cleaned all our air vents, dryer vent, exhaust fans and our furnace. They used an instrument to show us how clogged the inside of our furnace was. Within a couple of hours they were done and even cleaned up after themselves! I appreciated that Jason called 10 minutes before arriving exactly on time. I had been quoted $200-$250 to clean the dryer duct. He put a blower into the opening behind the dryer in the garage then went outside to the opening on the stucco. He was able to get lint and twigs where a bird had made a nest. There wasn't a huge amount. He then told me I had a lot of water in the duct. It would not evaporate on its own. He said he could drill two holes to drain the water for $150....if they came our separately just to do that it would be $600. I had him do that and he sent by text a photo of the water draining out of the duct. When it came to pay the bill I was charged $250, plus $50 to remove the bird nest! Plus $150 for drilling the holes to release the water. $450. I felt that it wasn't fair to charge $50 for the bird's nest as it came out easily with the lint. They receipt was written on a generic yellow form with no company name. read more
