A useless secondary drain pan since it doesn't drain due to improper slope. Water sensor never triggered.
    Sergio C.

I reach them initially for a problem where my drain pan was leaking water into my ceilings, they upsell me telling me I need a new unit. We had just installed a wood fence next to the old unit and I asked if the system would fit, they assured me it would. Not only they left the fence un assembled (because with the new unit the fence didnt fit anymore), but the NEW drain pan and the NEW unit was still leaking, turns out that supposeddly the unit was missing some required pieces to not leak. They put the missing pieces and apparently things worked good for a year, drain pan again not darining and unit still leaking, I had to reach out to another company and pay an extra 2K because this guys are completely unreliable. The diagnostics: the unit doesnt have the proper slope for the water to not leak to the drain pan, and the drain pan plumbing also is inadecuate therefore accumulating water that leaks into my roof. These people in my book are clowns. I do hope if you hire them you get the job properly done and I hope your experience is all positive, but I can not in good faith recommend this business at all! . Edit: after I hang up because I don't want to deal with incompetence. How on earth is the system considered working good when a water sensor was installed (that never triggered) with the $10k unit (since this was the original problem) and despite of all the solutions supposedly in place my attic continued getting full of water because the not the primary nor secondary drain pan was installed properly. Three things failed, primary drain pan (improper slope), secondary drain pan improper slope so it never drained outside of the attic and the water sensor that never tripped since the whole unit was never having the proper slope or inclination. Why would I put my trust on a company that just charged me and could not even get any of these 3 things right to solve my problem? Nah I'm done dealing with this company, not interested in being called, had to pay another company to fix the mess this company called installation

I noticed yesterday (Saturday) there was a very slow drip. I placed a bin underneath went to sleep woke up and it was partially full. I called Roto because I needed the service today and not tomorrow. I was scheduled for today within a 2-hour window for my zip code. Guy, the technician, was great. He quoted me a price, went to get the cartridge that needed to be replaced and returned quickly. I also had a water restoration technician, Rolan, come out as well. I explained the water leak that had occurred from the drip down to the other unit was going to be taken care of by that owner and I would just pay for the materials. He provided information regarding condo insurance and what his work would cover. Guy showed me where my water turn off was located. He completed the work within 20 minutes. He went over the warranty for labor and not the part because Roto-Rooter didn't provide the part. He said the company would be willing to work with me in case there's a future issue by discounting the labor. I found a coupon on their app which he honored as well. This is my first time using this company and I am satisfied. I highly recommend from the initial call to the professionalism of the technicians. I got text updates as well. (should u choose that option) I'm going to look into their annual plan of $249 which would cover any future visits if needed. Parts may not be included, though labor appears to be. Cheers!

They responded to my request so fast I thought it was a bot, but it wasn't. A real person called and left a message. I called back to explain what I was interested in and he scheduled an appointment for that day (I think). I was assured that I'd be called or texted when the technician was on his way. I expected to have to wait the full 2-hour window I was given, but no! I was called about 5 minutes before the window started to see if I was still available. The technician arrived exactly on time, right at the start of the window! After a short explanation of my needs he just said "OK, let's take a look at the space and talk about it." He explained every step of what they'd do to install a tankless water heater, he looked at the whole area to check for pipes, electrical access, spacing inside and out for a condensation line - making feel very comfortable that it would be planned before the installation to avoid last minute issues. A big plus, he told me he'd be part of the installation team. He also told me I should go ahead and get another few quotes. I think these guys are confident they're giving the prices in the sweet spot of costs. Then we spent time just talking about landscaping and plants! I'm not in a hurry to start this project, it's on my list of improvements and I'm just starting to investigate. However, I'm extremely impressed with the service given at this stage, the thorough approach in explaining, and the honestly. I will get another quote, but the next one has a high bar to cross; not only the service, but Water Heaters Masters quote was WELL below the only other quote I had gotten so far. I have a very good feeling about WHM. I'll come back to let you know more when I've finished the whole project.

Alex sent our technician, Rojo, who helped install a new 40-gallon gas water heater in our indoor utility closet, and he was incredibly diligent, professional, and efficient from start to finish. Installing a tank in an inside closet can be tricky, but Rojo handled the entire job seamlessly in just 2 hours. He replaced everything with high-quality components, including: * New hot and cold water flex lines * A brand new water shut-off valve * A new gas flex line and sediment trap * Fully reworked earthquake straps (to meet California safety codes) * Properly updated T&P line and venting He also took care of the removal and disposal of our heavy 18 yr old tank, leaving the utility closet completely clean. If you want fair pricing, expert specialized service, and a technician who respects your time and home, call Water Heater Masters and ask for Rojo. Highly recommended!

Francis came to my place 1 day after I called up to mention a problem with the hotness of the water since a slow undetected prolonged leak upstairs was dripping into my water heater (for months) Francis has A+ troubleshooting skills. And his teaching/explanation was also top-notch. He quickly tested a bunch of different stuff to get the lay of the land. Then with that complete info he quickly gave a theory for the problem (mixing valve). Then after more questions he gave a solid reasoning as to what triggered that to occur. On top of that, he came up with a couple ancillary problems also (that can cause problems in the future).

Their estimates are spot on and even more importantly, their work is excellent. Our latest (ongoing issue) was a water heater in an exterior closet. For whatever insanely stupid reason, the builder had the floor for this outside closet sloping towards the house! So whenever the water heater gave out, the water would flow towards our house and ruin the dining room floor. Barnett helped us to address this building flaw by raising both water heaters and installing a drip pan that would channel any water leaks away and out by of the closet (rather than towards the house). They also helped redo the plumbing and conduits serving the water heaters. Note: we had also contemplated installing a tankless system, but Barnett advised us not to go that route due to needing a larger gas pipe and the venting requirements which would have needed additional construction/stucco work. These guys know their stuff!
