We had our HVAC system proactively serviced by Comfy, never had any issues with our system prior. They checked it out, noticed our condensate drain pan was full, so they emptied it but didn't find any issues or clogs, and refilled our coolant for $500. Told us to change the filters, so we did. A few weeks later, our system overflowed into our bathroom, through the walls and light switches. Comfy told us they could come 2 weeks (!) later to look at it, and that during the initial service appointment they had told us our system needed to be replaced (not at all the case, both of us were home and they never told us that). Odd way of doing business, and poor customer service. NWP (another provider) was able to come out the next day, found a clog immediately, and told us our system was fine otherwise. We were deceived when purchasing a new HVAC through this company, and yes it is definitely our own fault for not doing more research. We were sold a high end model with HEPA filter, air scrubber and the whole 9 yards. We were told we would save a lot of money on our gas and electric bill. Not true. We were told that we could use a HERO type loan to purchase this, which seemed like a great idea at the time. The technician said, no problem! When you move the new owner takes over because, this would transfer via the property taxes. Well, 6 years later we find that this is not the case. We can't transfer this, we have to have this lien paid off during the sale of the property. Unbelievably deceptive, especially when people are not familiar with the entire process. read more

Had a 12k Mitsubishi mini-split system added to a converted garage. Went with the in ceiling cassette with wall mounted thermostat. With no attic access, many other HVAC companies said they couldn't do it. Comfy, however, installed the system on time and did a great job with a very difficult install. Everything works great. We need to replace our old HVAC system and wanted to compare all electric to standard gas. Tom was very professional and thorough in his quote and explanation of the differences. We decided on all electric and they were able to schedule our installation fairly quickly. There were a few glitches along the way so they had to come out a few times to correct the glitches, including sending the owner, Able, out to get things completely right. The heat is on! Abel came out in late February and said the same thing Diego said in November - "I'll have to check to see what we can do about the warranty" ... But then he actually did. True to his word. In the end, Comfy has done right by us and for the first time all winter I was comfortably warm as I slept, and the tile floor was not bitter cold in the bathroom in the morning! The only reason it didn't get done first thing Monday morning was because of scheduling difficulties on OUR end. Once the warranty question got sorted, Comfy staff were truly eager to get the new unit installed at the earliest possible second, but were very flexible to work with us to get it in as soon as we were able to accept an appointment. Although we felt we had to turn to Yelp to complain, the staff never stopped being courteous and professional, which I TRULY appreciate. This group is a class act. 4 stars instead of 5 because it ended up taking 3 months +. read more
