I had an old furnace and with the weather getting warmer, wanted a heat pump to provide cooling as well. Contacted several companies around the Bay Area to come by and give estimates. AIS and their team provided the most education and took their time to answer all my questions. Their pricing was fair. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, even though I challenged them a couple of times of why didn't they recommend a stronger system. "We live in California, the weather is milder. The premium on it, you'll likely never use." I appreciate their honest business practice and would recommend talking our sales rep, Art. The team that did the work was also great. I had my annual AC inspection done a couple of weeks ago had would give them a mixed rating. The good: techs were knowledgeable, provided a detailed report on many components, and provided a lot of information on my system. The bad: as part of the check-up, they provide recommendations. One of those recommendations was to replace the current control due to measurements being outside of manufacturer specs. When I took the same measurements on that same device, I got a different measurement that was well within the manufacturers spec. I had replaced this component just a year or two ago so I was surprised to learn it was already showing signs of aging. Needless to say, if I had followed the recommendations, I would have spent several hundred dollars on a part that didn't need replacing, at least according to my own measurements read more

We have called on AIS several times and they have been great! They replaced our aging AC compressor with a new one that works much better. They ran new ducting and adjusted settings for a room conversion. We had some confusion with thermostat settings for our dual zones and they helped us figure it out. And we have had them back twice a year for regular maintenance, including our most recent visit from Pete, who checked everything including the attic furnace and blower, adjusted the system for greater efficiency in Stage 2, and changed the filter. AIS did a fantastic job with my HVAC system. I had a very old baseboard type of heater in my apartment and AIS removed it, repainted that area and installed a ductless mini split in its place. It is SO much better now - more efficient, way less expensive, and so much more responsive and adjustable.
