I highly recommend MOD Comfort Solutions for your HVAC needs! Daniel was extremely accommodating when working around my availability and was very responsive throughout the entire process. He came out to assess an HVAC issue we were having and was very thorough in diagnosing the situation. He took pictures, explained everything to me in detail, and answered all of my questions. He recommended replacing two zone dampers and a transformer to resolve the issue and provided me with a detailed written quote later that same day. Daniel was able to order the necessary parts and schedule the repair just two days later. He and his coworker arrived on time, were very professional, completed the installation efficiently, and left everything clean and tidy when they were finished. What really impressed me was the follow-up. A few days after the repair, Daniel called to make sure the A/C was working properly. That level of communication and customer care is hard to find these days. From start to finish, Daniel made the entire experience easy and stress-free. I would definitely recommend MOD Comfort Solutions to anyone looking for reliable, professional, and customer-focused HVAC service! read more

Quick update from a few months ago. I had Mod Comfort come out today to install a new ac and furnace and they did an amazing job. Super quick and professional. If your looking for a good ac company, go with them! read more

Daniel was punctual and thorough in his inspection and tuneup. He also educated us on our hvac unit and how to maintain it for longevity.

It typically doesn't happen where a service isn't completed because the provider doesn't want to overcharge you AND still helps you by telling you how you can fix it yourself. But that's exactly what happened yesterday. Danny went to my rental home and after inspecting, he gave my wife our options of fixing it and gave her in full detail how to do it. Afterwards, I called him and he gave me some of his time going over it again and even telling me that I can call him again if I needed more help. To have a business and an also be a kind person is rare, and the impression Danny left was thatvof a kind person. If I ever need service in the future, or decide that I don't feel like fixing my heating system myself, I'll have no problem using Mod. Thanks again!! read more

Daniel was very responsive and reliable when it came to repairing my parents' furnace. He was one of the first to respond when I sent out my request through Yelp Projects. Save yourself the time and money by skipping the big companies like Jazz Heating Cooling. Jazz will not only take weeks to fix the issue, but you'll go through multiple parties just for a call back on updates. Support small businesses that are not owned by private equity by going with Daniel at MOD. read more

I reached out to MOD when my parents' AC experienced cooling issues and Daniel responded quickly to troubleshoot the issue. He quickly diagnosed the problem and went above and beyond to make sure everything was working properly before he left. Daniel is incredibly knowledgeable, reliable, and has a great sense of humor, which made the entire experience stress-free. From my experience with Daniel, it's clear he genuinely cares about taking care of his clients. I highly recommend Daniel and MOD for any HVAC needs. They'll be the only company I work with in the future, and I've already recommended them to two other people I know who are having HVAC issues. read more

I had another great experience with MOD! Danny and his team installed a new system for us months ago, and I just had him add purification. They've been punctual at every appointment, so I'm not waiting around all day for my services to get done. Danny takes his time, and I like that he really explains what's going on and answers all my questions. Our new unit is very quiet compared to our last one, and now, with the purification, my husband and I are looking forward to the allergy benefits. Danny also helped us set our thermostat on a schedule that works for our needs. We do a lot of traveling so we don't have to think about it anymore thanks to the smart settings. Great company overall, thank you, MOD! read more

HVAC inspection and maintenance. Great service. Honest, professional, knowledgeable, thorough.

Got a few quotes through Yelp to fix my AC and decided to go with a smaller, but highly rated, company. Mod Comfort seemed to fit the bill so I had them come out the next day. Daniel was on time (arrived a couple minutes before the estimated arrival window), quickly diagnosed the problem, explained the issue and proposed the solution to me. He's very knowledgeable in his craft. If you're looking for excellent and honest service, reasonable prices, and wanting to support small business, I would highly recommend Mod for your HVAC needs! read more

Had a great experience with MOD Comfort Solutions. Daniel came out and was incredibly professional and thorough. He took his time evaluating the system, quickly identified that the capacitor had blown, and explained everything clearly -- from what needed to be fixed to how my all-electric setup works and what kind of maintenance schedule to follow. What I really appreciated was that he didn't try to oversell anything. Just an honest, straightforward assessment and a quick repair that got us back up and running. The system is working great now and I'll definitely be calling them again if anything comes up. Highly recommend! read more

I did research on several companies and obtained estimates from each. Ultimately, I went with MOD Comfort Solutions, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Danny answered my list of questions, and he took his time to explain the options that he built for me. We discussed many factors, including budget, and I really appreciated how he worked around me--accommodating my schedule, needs, and concerns. I never felt pressured to make a decision, which I also really appreciate considering the size of my project and my requests. On install day, Danny and his team arrived on time. They wore booties (I'm grateful for the respect of my space!), and they cleaned up well when they were done. It took one day and thankfully so since I suffer from terrible allergies and asthma. I could not wait to run the air purifier that Danny built into my new system. I've been running it since it was installed, and I'm so grateful for it! I have already noticed the difference in air quality inside my home. After installation, Danny and his team continued to be very responsive. I've messaged them directly with questions about my Nest and for things like setting recommendations. They've been incredibly helpful--truly a great team! Highly recommend! read more

I can recommend Mod for the tune up service but not for anything else, unfortunately. Mod came out to my home to do a basic tuneup service for my split system, the technician seemed knowledgeable and showed me that the fan on my outdoor AC system was super noisy because it had bent and was hitting the side of the system. He told me that it needed to be replaced, which was true, and that he would send over a quote for getting that done. For me, that's when the issue started. He sent me a quote that was very high, and refused to itemize the quote when I asked him to break it down by parts and labor, stating that it's a flat rate price. I then reached out to other companies for quotes on the fan blade replacement and got it replaced for significantly cheaper, and it's been working well. Because I value transparency and fair pricing, I cannot give five them five stars. read more

Our AC died a couple of months ago during a really hot time of the year, and we're just now getting around to writing this review. I'm so thankful this HVAC company was able to make everything happen so quickly! Danny was amazing--he communicated promptly and clearly and really knew his stuff. He listened to what we needed and guided us to the perfect solution without trying to upsell us on more expensive options. It felt so fair and honest. The installation was in and out quickly, did a top-quality job, and left the yard clean. Our new AC has been a lifesaver, and we couldn't be happier. This company is professional, knowledgeable, and truly customer-focused. Highly recommend! read more

We just had MOD replace our furnace and A/C. Shawn and Danny were great! Punctual, professional and great work, plus they were less expensive the other companies we had come out. They took out the old unit, replaced it and had us up in running in a few hours. Clean work with attention to detail. Highly recommend them. Thank you guys!! read more

The most truthful and honest HVAC vendor I've dealt with. Most vendors want to change the whole furnace once its 10 years old but Daniel did a great job in detailing the wear and tear and fixing a gas leak at the flex pipe. read more

Daniel and Shawn are a dynamic duo! They installed our new HVAC system flawlessly and cleanly despite the hard-to-reach location of our furnace in our attic. Had a very good experience with Daniel. He diagnosed the issue quickly and accurately, which from my experience, is not very common among HVAC providers. He then suggested a solution, and answered my probing questions patiently (I was trying to make sure that Daniel really understood the problem). Then he provided a quote with a warranty. Once I accepted, he was there to fix it quickly. All in all, Daniel came across as a person who knows what he is doing, is confident about it, and executes quickly and cleanly. Will call him again in case I have an issue with my HVAC. read more

Our furnace recently stopped working. I contacted MOD Comfort Solutions based on their online reviews. They were able to schedule me for the same day appointment and I was delighted when Daniel asked if he could come earlier than the scheduled time. Daniel was very professional and personable. He ran through diagnoses and explained very clearly what needed to be fixed. He ordered parts and fixed the issue during a subsequent visit. He also offered helpful tips without trying to sell any unnecessary services. Overall I am very pleased with their service and professionalism. Based on my experience, I would call them again if needed and highly recommend for anyone looking for HVAC services. read more

Massive shout out to Danny and Shawn for their exceptional craftsmanship! The team at MOD exceeded all the requirements we looked for in an HVAC company: customer-focused, highly responsive, attentive, consultative, and true expertise. And yes, before you ask... their pricing was very fair! They were able to come out and complete the job of replacing my furnace right away (next business day). They replaced my 25 year old TraneXE 80 furnace in half a day. They truly lived up to their motto, "Let our family take care of yours." I strongly recommend MOD if you're looking for a trustworthy team to take care of your HVAC needs. You won't regret it! read more

Finally! An honest and helpful technician. My AC went out for the first time and I had no idea who to contact. Danny took the time to explain how my system worked, the regular maintenance that was needed, and what repairs need to be made to get it up and running again. He also told me that he made minor adjustments that will help the system work more efficiently. If you need a company that will "do the right thing" then this is definitely the company you should go to. He also took the time to install a new thermostat I had purchased. Danny made sure everything was connected and worked properly before leaving. I was also happy to hear he's working on a package for regular annual maintenance that will be coming soon. I have no hesitation in hiring this company for regular maintenance of my AC and heating system. Thank you so much Danny! read more

I actually nominated my brother for this contest with Lennox, and MOD being the local company reached out to my brother and mentioned his story, our AC has been blowing out hot air for a while so luckily he (Danny) came out and checked the entire house with my brother. He gave us frion (sp?) and added additional frion, just hoping and praying we don't have issues in the future but according to my brother Danny helped us out in getting cool air in our house for the time being. friendly, dependable company. the previous company we do maintenance with on our AC didn't tell us too much about our AC until I cancelled the subscription with them. read more

I would definitely recommend using Mod Comfort Solutions Heating and AC! My AC stopped blowing cold air. When I contacted Daniel, the owner, he got back to me quickly to set up an appointment. He offered me a next day appointment. I received text messages with updates on his arrival, the day of the appointment. He showed up on time, explained everything to me and even showed me the parts that were the issue. We talked through a few options and when we agreed on the plan, he gave me a responsible quote and had everything fixed within an hour. YEAR 2025: Make sure of the following: 1) business license to work in your city, 2) permit application, 3) confirmation the unit complies with the Govt. Bay Area Air Quality Control Board ( look up serial numbers & review manuals to make sure it doesn't read that it should only be connected to a propane tank), 4) contract has language that is required by Contractors State License Board (CSLB) re: Customer Protection Agency, and 5) Consider getting an independent inspection. On 5/20, contract to replace my HVAC. 5/22, HVAC installed. Asked about a copy of the City Permit. You said Archon will pull it and inspect. I've pulled permits before and found that odd because permits applications are filed quickly. 5/23, called The City (3 days after contract), was informed it's okay to do emergency work, but at least apply. There was no application and business license. After mentioning this fact to you, an application was finally filed. I didn't mention the lack of a business license. 5/29, Archon inspected the air flow. I believed all was well and on track for a city inspection. If the air pressure is good doesn't mean there wasn't a leak from the unit. 5/31, was 104 °, went into the garage and felt air pouring out in various locations. Contacted you many times about what was going on and sent videos. You insisted it was normal, and I kept telling you it was not. 6/1, you came to seal up the air leakage. Due to the heat, the silicone caulking melted! You should have known that watery caulk in a tube from Ace would melt. I told you after it melted and you said you will come, 6/3, to seal it again. Being concerned that the clear silicone caulk placed on the wall of the unit and sealed it to the wood platform. Made me think that the air going into the garage is now feeding into the wood that you sealed it to. 6/2, I am concerned about all these issues, I called the City (Ken Murphy) again and informed me the permit application was submitted on 5/23, and still no business license on file. I called Archon and they informed me that they won't release the report until a business license is obtained. I called the City Mgr. and they didn't have your business license until they called me on 6/6. YOU DIDN'T "LET ME KEEP ANYTHING FOR TWO WEEKS". It was 11 days after installation that I discovered I got burned with the illegal unit. There is no law or policy that once a customer wants a refund, you have the right to remove it the next day. You weren't touching my property until I could have a legit HVAC company remove it. I had to have it inspected by 3rd party, air quality control board, and hire a legit company that was booked for 1 week. CSLB states the use of illegal products can cause a dangerous hazard to the residents and will issue sever penalties against a contractor who does this. YOU KNEW A PERMIT WONT ISSUE BECAUSE IT WAS AN ILLEGAL UNIT BANNED IN MANY COUNTIES. Anyone with 1/2 a brain knows an un-permitted illegal product installed affects homeowner's insurance. Insurance companies are looking for ways to not pay out. A homeowners' failure to install anything not up to code, city inspected, and illegal is not good. The fact that you led me to believe everything was ok I believed you. You failed to mention the unit was illegal and can't be installed in my county and the wires weren't in an electrical box as well as other things. Wonder how long it would take to spark? You tried to remove the evidence as soon as possible. I knew what you were up to. read more
