I recently had the freezer lights replaced on my Kenmore Elite, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Ralph handled the scheduling and kept me updated every step of the way, quick replies to both emails and texts, and clear communication about timing when it came to the parts required. James, the technician, showed up right on time, diagnosed the issue and explained what needed to be ordered. He was back in two days to install the new lights and even showed us exactly where the old lights had burned out. The whole process felt smooth and well managed. Great service from both Ralph and James, they are a very professional and focused team. read more

I found Volta after having a conversation with AI about another quote from a different provider, which was too expensive. AI recommended me to contact them, saying they have a reputation of providing a very good second opinion. It turned out great! James did a very efficient and cost effective job of repairing my AC unit. read more

Over the past few years we've been "cursed" by a series of terribly malfunctioning & wholly uncooperative refrigerators & ESPECIALLY ice makers. Our FORTH unit started misbehaving a year ago & we finally decided to take action and have a proper repair. We contacted VOLTA to address this problem & James was more than attentive & diligent in responding to our concerns & readily fixed the problem! These folks are truly responsible, good dudes and would wholly recommend their services read more

Prompt and efficient repair service for our Kenmore washer - they even came out on a weekend to finish the job! Just a heads-up for anyone with a stackable unit, be sure to unstack it yourself beforehand, or they'll charge an extra fee to do it for you. read more

Volta came out and serviced the air conditioning and heater. The technician, James, did a outstanding job. He was here promptly on time. We enjoyed talking with James about the service that he performed. If I would give him a grade, it would be AA+++ plus. John Dickinson San Ramon CA read more

I found Volta thru a random Yelp search and super happy I did. Our washing machine broke down and we needed to have it fixed as soon as possible. I reached out to Volta and a tech (James) showed up to help diagnose the issue. James gave me a heads-up when he'd be there, was careful not to get the house dirty (wore shoe wraps), and professional in the repair and communication of what needed to be done. Very appreciate of his help as our washer needed additional parts... Volta ordered and James came back the following day (super fast). Truly recommend this company and thank you, James, for your help! read more

Excellent response on Tuesday evening for an appointment the next day. David texted me that he is on his way with an eta. Diagnosed the problem with my LG fridge and had the part with him. Checked over the entire appliance and showed me what to do to for optimal performance. Thorough professional service worth the price. read more

Was able to get a same day quick appointment which was awesome but it just went down hill from there. 1st of all if you don't work on stacked washers /dryers you should tell a client that before making the appointment I lost a entire weekend of possible repairs cause I had them come out Friday and 5 to have the technician walk around the corner see it's stacked and rudely say if we cant fix it cause it's stacked. Then he proceeded to tell me it was probably the drain and that would cost $360 if it wasn't stacked, he told us this without looking at anything just said it was probably that cause it's a know a issue. Even if that might be the case of it being a known issue how can you quote a price and diagnostic without one glance inside or around the washer. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere So now after my original review I have gotten several calls and also texts pressuring me to change or remove my review. They are making me feel uncomfortable & unsafe with the numerous calls and texts. As I've told them I stand by what I said as nothing is untrue. I've had to block the number to stop the harassment. DO NOT use this company cause if your not satisfied they will come after you and harass you to no end. read more

Had some problems with HVAC, another company came out with mixed results and lots of extra fees. Called Volta instead and met with a very knowledgeable technical James, who diagnosed the real issue and helped me understand what was going on. Costs were fair and much more realistic than some of the "larger guys". Thank you James and the Volta team! read more

GE refrigerator broke. Inside temp went up to 58F when 34F is set. Called Volta and they immediately answered and able to quickly schedule next day service. The On call service fee was clearly explained with fee waived if I chose to proceed with repairs. Thanks for being transparent. Repair technician James kept me informed of his arrival and got here a few minutes early which is very much appreciated. James diagnosis the issue (broken evaporator fan) and quoted a fair price. James expertly performed the repair and fridge is working again. Thank you James and Volta, I would recommend them highly. read more

We recently had issue with our dishwasher and the duo (Ralph and James) promptly scheduled the call and fixed the issue. Unfortunately there was some blockage in the air pipe due to normal wear and tear usage of the dishwasher and the water was not draining out completely. We had to reach out to Raplh and James again- Raplh provide 3 slots that we could select from based on our schedules and promptly dispatched James to fix the issue. James took the time to check, clean and also educate me on how to resolve such issues myself. More over they went way and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with all their support and made us feel happy. I highly recommend these guys for any service - they are promptly, genuine and very friendly people to work with. read more

My Samsung dryer broke a little more than a month ago, it stopped heating up my clothes but would still turn on. I did some searching and came across Volta. Since it had so many positive reviews, I decided to go with them to schedule a service appointment. I was able to get a service appointment in less than 24 hours - so very quick turn around, which I love! I had a very positive experience with the technician David. He was very professional, courteous. He knew what to do as well, very efficient and was able to fix our problem. I also thought the price was reasonable too. Then, a month after their visit, same thing happened with my dryer - it stopped heating up my clothes but it would still turn on. I immediately called Volta because I recalled they have a 6 month warranty on their service. I was able to schedule an appointment; however, there were a lot of miscommunication issues. I had my appointment schedule for a specified time but technician didn't show up during that time. When I called, they told me it's because I didn't confirm but I never received a text for confirmation so there were a delay. The person who answered my phone was able to resolve the issue though so David (the technician) was able to eventually make his way to our home to figure out what was going on. He was able to resolve the issue very quickly and help us with our dryer. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Volta and definitely recommend others to use them for any appliance issues/repairs. read more

We had a GE built-in refrigerator that was having issues on the freezer side. We called Volta and scheduled an appointment for their $65 estimate. A tech named James came out to evaluate our situation. I explained that the refrigerator had an issue before on the cold side and another repair company came out to fix it. James was reluctant to even open the refrigerator and told me that the whole thing was a 2-sided system and likely it would all have to be rebuilt. I had to urge him to do some kind of investigation in which he opened up one side and shot a temperature gun at it. That was his entire assessment. But he did manage to spend 5 minutes drawing me a diagram of how the system works. I paid the $65. Later that day, he sent an estimate of $4000 to basically rebuild the entire inner workings of the unit. I called another refrigerator repair company out to do an assessment (Chill Heating & Cooling)- I had used this company before. The tech spent an hour troubleshooting and determined that it was the freezer side fan. He returned later on in the day with the part and quickly completed the job. The entire repair cost me less that $900. Go figure. The refrigerator is working 100% now. I do not know if it's the entire company Volta or if it was just that one specific tech, but that was the BIGGEST waste of $65 I have EVER spent! I could have gotten that EXACT same assessment over the phone with the receptionist or dispatch! Is this how they stay in business? by completely ripping off their gullible, unknowledgeable customers? They were so obviously dishonest that my wife is submitting a complaint to the BBB. Volta is wholly dishonest or incompetent. Stay away from them!!! read more

I requested service for built-in microwave that was having power issues. James came out and was able to diagnose the problem, and had the spare part on hand to make the repair same day. Very professional, explained the issue with a burnt/melted part, and provided a fair price for the repair. I would recommend VOLTA and will be contacting them in the future for my appliance needs. read more

This is not a review of their service just of my attempt to schedule a service. I reached out to schedule service. I booked through the website because they offer a discount. They called later that day to reschedule for another day. Then the day before my appointment they called to see if they could come in a few hours. When I said no they informed me that they would need to reschedule again. At that point I told them I no longer needed their services and went with a different company. i'm giving three stars strictly because I didn't utilize their services and I don't want to penalize them too harshly for their scheduling issues. read more

Volta provided us great service for our HVAC system. James is super helpful and friendly.

Very rare these days to find honest appliance repair, but Volta is the real deal. We had a washer that was acting up. I created a project on Yelp and 5 vendors responded soon after. Volta was able to sent a tech(David) out on same day and was very accommodating of our schedule. Their diagnostic fee was very reasonable, and after some troubleshooting, the diagnosis was air bubbles in the water line, and no additional repair charges were incurred beyond the service fee, saving us lots of money. We will be calling Volta next time we are in need of appliance service. read more

I think I bought an old home 1.5 years ago. The refrigerator compressor went bad, then the HVAC capacitor required replacement and most recently the HVAC water drain clogged. Every time VOLTA came to rescue. James was able to come the next day and is very knowledgeable and knows his stuffs every time as usual. Every time he answered all my questions to fulfill my curiosity, but honestly I don't need to because the issues were all well taken care of with a reasonable cost every time. He even let me know the refrigerator manufacturer provided free compressor replacement to save me some money. AAA+++. Highly recommended. read more

My subzero freezer stopped working and I was trying to save the food so I just randomly started calling companies off Yelp. I did have a company I had used before but they offered me Friday ( it was Monday ) which was obviously not going to help. I called Volta and they sent someone 2 hours later. They texted me updates on the techs arrival which was very helpful. James arrived and identified the problem quickly and fixed it right then and my food was saved. Great overall experience. This is exactly how you want it to go when there's a potential loss of lots of food. Definitely recommend! read more

VOLTA was great and responsive, fair in pricing. They were able to quickly come and repair my small outdoor refrigerator. They were honest and caveated that depending on the repair, they'd recommend I just buy a new unit due to costs of parts + labor. It didn't come to that, thankfully, but I never felt gouged or pressured. Would recommend! read more
