On 7/1/2026 Mike came to repair my GE Microwave Oven (Model JVM3160RF4SS) and he was very professional, fast, and did not waste my time. Within a few minutes he had the Microwave opened up and showed me exactly what the problem was. He then advised either repair (provided estimate of costs), or, replacement with a new model (my microwave was 9 years old). I highly highly recommend him for any appliance repairs! read more

I am very satisfied with Michael service. He arrived on time, was able to identify an issue with my washing machine and order broken part to my address. When part came, he install it in professional manner. Also, he is servicing my appliances for atheist 5 years. Thanks Michael. read more

Mike helped me with a 25 year old Thermador oven that wouldn't heat up...very difficult to get parts, but he traced through the schematic to find the fault. he diligently stuck with it for two hours, but he found that the relay for the bottom heater was not sending power. Instead of telling me to find a difficult availability part....he cleaned the contacts and reshaped it to make it work. Very Thorough, Patient, and in the end very fair with the billing. I Trust, and Highly Recommend! read more

Our 20 year old Thermador Professional range/oven wouldn't heat up. We called and Mike immediately contacted us and we scheduled an appointment. Mike kept in communication with me and arrived promptly. He was professional and was able to troubleshoot the problem and provided me with quote. He was honest and explained issues that might arise due to the age of our unit but was confident and explained the issue well. He notified me when he found the part and when the part arrived an appt was quickly scheduled. He arrived on time and fixed it quickly. He offered advice on some maintenance of the unit and ensured everything worked before he left. His repair costs were reasonable and I am ecstatic with the end result! Mike saved our Thanksgiving by fixing our oven! read more

Mike did a great job replacing the control panel on my Wolf Range. He discussed options, his price was reasonable, and he was knowledgeable and very meticulous. I will absolutely call him again if I have issues with my other appliances. Another company gave me a price 3X what Mike charged. Do your homework, and definitely call Mike at KH Appliance. read more

Mike is an excellent expert; not only is he knowledgeable and handy, but he is also responsible and on time. Our refrigerator's temperature control board was not working for a while so that we couldn't control the temperature. Mike immediately noticed the problem and wanted us to try a couple of things before ordering the parts. I respect his integrity in business management. I'm highly encouraging you to hire him to repair your appliances. Lily in Pleasanton read more

Mike was responsive to my messages and arrived on time. He looked at the dishwasher and started googling what was the issue. He said it might be x or y or z and gave me few reasons my dishwasher lights were blinking. Then we went about the water leak. He looked below the dishwasher, saw where the water was leaking and confidently said 'friend you need to get a new dishwasher' as the part leaking needed to be replaced and is no longer produced by manufacturer. In 20 mins without doing anything more than googling and looking below my dishwasher - he said i need a new one. He also suggested i call manufacturer for recall. He kept look at his watch as if he was late to somewhere. Oh yeah and that'll be $145 btw!!! For incorrect advise that would have cost me over $1000. I looked up a solution on youtube, and replaced a small valve that cost $5 on amazon. My dishwasher is back up and running without any leaks. I have never fixed dishwashers, but was able to repair it in 10 minutes. My time, money and energy is wasted. Do not recommend this business - better take your money elsewhere who knows what they are doing. Should have trusted the other reviews. read more

Kh Appliance - Part that needed to be replaced - Appliances & Repair Near Me

We got an appointment very soon after our washer started making horrendous noises. So that was great. And although he was not able to fix our washer which was a goner, we appreciated the honesty plus he gave me a great tip on using my dryer more efficiently. Would definitely use in the future. read more

Mike is very knowledgeable. I was ready to buy a new refrigerator but he was able to diagnose and fix it. He was also kind enough to work on a weekend to install the new refrigerator fan. I highly recommend Mike to diagnose and repair home appliances. My wife is so happy that refrigerator is working again. read more

Very disappointed. Basically, the guy tells me you have an issue with your appliance. I have an oven heating issue, so he basically gives me the science about what is going on, tells me to purchase an oven thermometer to verify the issues and takes his money and I never hear from him again. I think this organization makes their money on just showing up for the appointment getting their money and never hearing from them again when they say they would follow up with me to get the problem solved. NOT!!! I think it's a ponzi scheme with these people. They come in, tell you that there is an issue, and they will look into if I can find parts for it and let you know. BS! Crickets! read more

Highly recommend Mike from KH Appliance. read more

I had a similar experience with the other reviewer, Jimil P. He looked at the dishwasher, took some pictures of the unit, turned it on/off, googled the issue, showed me the parts that I needed to buy, and showed a diagnostic result that gave me a reason to get a new dishwasher because the repair would cost me around $1,300 (parts and labor). He didn't even look below the dishwasher since there was baseboard covering the bottom part, that's understandable, but why did he confidently tell me what the issue was without really opening and looking below the dishwasher? And yes I paid $145 for incorrect advice. I didn't have peace of mind with his diagnosis, something was off. I decided to contact the other guy from a different business. This guy came and couldn't look below my dishwasher as well, but he didn't charge anything. He is FAIR! To make the story short, I managed to open the covering below the dishwasher and had the guy come back to give another diagnosis. It turned out the dishwasher was totally repairable at a reasonable cost (parts and labor). I saved a lot of money. He also suggested I call the manufacturer for recall. My POINT is: Please be FAIR. Don't charge anything if he couldn't really take a proper diagnostic. I do not recommend this business. It is better to take your money elsewhere who knows what they are doing. read more

I called Mike to troubleshoot and fix my Samsung washer. He seemed very busy so we scheduled a time a bout a week later from my initial contact. He was right on time, very courteous. Nice person to work with. He played with various settings, took photo of the parts underneath the washer and explained that the voltage going to the drain clutch is coming in at 100V (therefore no issue with control board but with the drain clutch) and he felt that was still sufficient. He charged $145 for the visit. I believe he spent about 40 ~ minutes. He later sent me the estimate. It would be ~ $455 to replace the clutch. So that would be $310 with the credit for the visit fee. He did mention there is 90% chance that will fix the issue. If not, the main control board will have to be fixed for $310. Being fairly handy myself, I decided to replace the clutch myself. The part is ~$90 and it was very easy to replace. It took me about 30 min including the time to tilt the washer, etc. For someone who has done it before, it would take about 10 minutes... So I think the price $455 seems way high to replace the clutch. But the thing is that after replacing the clutch the washer spinning still did not work. So I applied the 120 voltage to the old clutch, and it seems to be working fine... :) So it's not the clutch after all. I think what Mike should have done is to spend a bit more time during the visit to ensure that the clutch was really the problem or not. read more

Great customer service, very fair pricing, and quick service visit. Got out refrigerator up and running again, couldn't be happier.

I contacted Mike on a Monday and he was able to check on my non- working oven Tuesday afternoon. He called when he was on his way and showed up at the time we had arranged. He checked many things before pulling the oven out of the wall and he was able to determine it was only a blown fuse. He explained everything he was doing and answered all of my husbands questions. Mike is honest, thorough and reasonably priced. read more

Service was fine and prompt, but the policy, stated in an email, was misleading. Mike said the minimum charge was $75. That is fine; I don't expect anyone to make a call for free. Here's the problem: What he didn't say was that he would add $75 EXTRA onto your bill, in addition to the labor. What?? That's not at all the same as saying it's a minimum charge--that's an ADDITIONAL charge. I heard from Mike, who called. The problem is, he keeps on trying to justify adding $75 more to the bill, in addition to the labor. When asked why, he responded, "This is how I do it with all my customers. The minimum charge is $75." I believe this is more of a communication problem than anything else. I do NOT think Mike is a dishonest person. He appears to honestly think that adding $75 to the labor is okay, and that is the same as "minimum charge." read more

Was looking to have my GE Microwave repaired. Gave the guy a call and answered in an angry tone like I was bothering him or something. Was asking if he can repair my appliance and he kept asking where I'm located. In an angry tone, he said, "You didn't answer my question!" What kind of service is that when you talk loud and obnoxiously to a potential customer! I didn't know he was only a mobile service so thank goodness he didn't service the valley. read more

I am updating my review of Kh Appliance because Mike, the owner, was honest and refunded me the call out fee. After speaking with Mike on the phone and corresponding via email, I can say without a doubt Mike values his business and his name. He has assured me he will follow up with Sergei regarding the poor experience I had there. I give Mike credit for doing the right thing at the end by issuing a refund and following up with Sergei. It is a good lesson for all of us to make sure there is clear communication and expectations are set by both parties. I wish Mike and Kh Appliance all the best. At the end of the day he couldn't help me with my situation and that's okay. Remember Yelpers...clear communication is key. read more

Mike recently replaced the very noisy and often failing fan in my range hood. He diagnosed the fan quickly, ordered the part and came back 2 weeks later to replace it. He quoted me 1.5 hours to replace the part but he did it in only 1 hour, which was much appreciated. Mike's prices are fair and he is reliable, I would definitely use him again. read more

Thank you Yelpers! My dryer went out suddenly. My grown daughter brings her family's laundry over regularly, I have a three-year-old child and a house full of animals! This can't happen. We do laundry almost daily. I turned to Yelp for a referral and saw KH Appliance was highly rated. I filled out the online appointment request and was ready to wait days for a response. But, I was answered almost immediately and Mike was upfront about his service charge - $70. He came out yesterday and quickly diagnosed my problem as a broken heating element. He took the time to show me the piece that broke and explained how it should look and why it was making the entire inner wall of the dryer glow bright hot orange (that's not a good thing). Unfortunately, he didn't have the part on-hand and would have to try to find it. After he left I called a wholesale parts house myself to see what the part would cost and I was told $81. Mike called back the same day with a quote of $240.66 to do the repair (for 2 service calls, diagnosing the problem, parts and labor). He said the part would cost $80 (less than I was quoted). Apparently, the heating element in my older dryer can't be accessed from the back. The entire front and insides have to be removed to get to it. So, more labor than usual. He came to do the repair today. He's very thorough and took the entire dryer apart. He replaced a pully he said looked like it was getting worn. He didn't charge me for the part or added labor. He disassembled the inner part of the door around the lint screen and dug out huge amounts of lint not caught by the lint trap. He took the time to help us vacuum out the entire dryer while he had it taken apart. He's very professional, friendly and most importantly - he knows what he's doing. He's honest with regard to the cost of parts and doesn't try to upsell - in fact he did a lot more for us than just the repair we paid for. I would definitely use him again. read more

Solid, professional and respectful service. Mike was very methodical and careful with our Thermador range repair (power spike at the house). He diagnosed 1-3 possible issue and we moved step by step to keep cost in control and ensure complete repair. 5/5 stars for sure. Oh and he was always on time and communicated over the several days of the process. read more

He's a nice guy (2 stars nice), but don't waste your time and money. My stated problem: Leaking dishwasher. Diagnosis procedure: 1) He turned on dishwasher for ~3 minutes. 2) Looked under dishwasher with a flashlight. Didn't see the leak in 3min Recommended remediation: Put a cleaning tablet in the dishwasher...oh and pay him $105 for the visit Yep, that was literally it. And no, the cleaning tablet did nothing and my dishwasher was still leaking a 1/2 gallon of water per cycle. There were dozens of things he could have done to diagnose the leak but chose to do none of them. He chalked it up to using dish soap when rinsing (which we don't do) or hard water buildup (it's a 3yr old dishwasher + we have a water softener). I had another company come out, spend 40 minutes diagnosing, identify the issue (loose water float), and make the fix all for $79 read more

I contacted Mike through the Yelp app, and he got back to me immediately. I needed him to fix the ice maker in my freezer. He came out as promised for the agreed-upon service fee. He checked out the ice maker, and recommended that before I hire him, I defrost the freezer. That made me think he was really more concerned with great customer service, not necessarily maximizing profits. Once I did that unsuccessfully, he came back out with the part and installed it...and now I have ice! I will use him again, and I recommend you do too. read more

I would not recommend this service despite 4-5 star reviews. We requested a repair of our dishwasher. The technician was there for about 10 minutes and left saying it was not worth it for him to fix the issue. We are out of $125 now with nothing fixed. I looked around online and found this to be a common problem that can be easily fixed by a homeowner. I should have read the other yelp reviews here. Even 2 stars is probably too many. read more

Water suddenly poured out of the bottom of LG our front-load washer, turned it off and started looking for a repair tech, on Yelp. KH had a lot of reviews w/an overall five star rating. Emailed him, he called back within an hour, came out the next day - very quick! Said I was in luck, leak was caused a combination of too much detergent's bubbles interfering with a water sensor (weird), and some built up grim. Recommended maintenance ideas and a cleaning agent. Only charged for the service call. A dishonest tech could have told me I needed a $300 part and I would not have known differently. Good guy: honest, prompt, professional. read more
