This is a different Quality Inn property. First off, the employees here are actually nice, and genuinely enjoy working here (props to assistant manager Bill, who is awesome, BTW). The property design seemed to have been a larger brand back in the day, and Choice Hotels purchased it and put a Quality Inn within its place. I was here for only one night while traveling out of Seattle en route to northern Idaho + Montana in July 2021. I think that I paid $98 with tax, which is about right due to high demand with summer travel following Covid times from the year prior. My room on the 2nd floor was fine. A bit larger than expected, with well-maintained furniture that conveys a classic design of hotel furniture from a decade or so ago in the Palouse area. I found my room to be quite cozy and quiet before heading out to my destination the next day. Breakfast was so-so, in that an employee actually makes eggs, sausage, etc. I fully expected nothing but cereal and toast, yet was surprised that there was a little bit more of an offering (yet not a whole lot more). Parking can be confusing, in that there is a dentist's office that shares the parking lot with the hotel (I worried about him getting vehicles towed). The rest of the parking lot seems to be in the front of the building, yet slightly tight. Definitely recommend getting a parking space early, if applicable. I did notice a shuttle van parked next to the hotel, so check that out if you need rides to the airport. There is a pool here, as well as fitness center on the 2nd floor (didn't appear open). There is a walking/running trail across the street, and the Washington State University campus is in reasonable walking distance from this property off of Bishop. Downtown Pullman isn't that far away (just beyond the bridge from WSU) with eateries and other small shopping venues. Overall, I'd say that this particular Quality Inn has an above average value than most of the other Quality Inn properties that represent the brand. read more

I was very disappointed with many things. I have no idea how this place went from under a $100 a night to over $500. Yes that is right they were going to charge me over $500 a night here and I said Hell no! They said we are booked this weekend be cause of a NFL football quarterback in town. Ahhh now I see why they want to charge over $500 a night. Oh I booked this over a week ago and spoke to the manager and he said the website had not updated yet. He said he would charge me $159 a night. He was sorry about that ect ect. I get here to check in and it went to over $500 a night again. Then the manager said he would refund me back down to $250 a night. I was stuck and said well I just drove 6 hours so I'm here. Well I canceled the second night because I called another hotel in town a much nicer one and it was $159 a night. We stayed here in the past because it was normally pretty clean and cheap. But this time not so much. Our room was a absolute pile of broken crap. Duck tape on one of the tv controls to hold the batteries in to a tv with no signal. Tiles broke around the bottom of a jetted tube (and hell no I would not be going into that pool of unknown) scrapped paint on drawers and cabinet doors. The shower looked like something from from a camp ground.... well please see picture! Electrical OMG, no smoke detector in sleeping area. Oh did I forget to tell you they upgraded our room lol . The tub had a crack in it along with the broken tiles. Ect. Just disappointed all the way around. The outside looks like it hasn't been cleaned or maintained for years. Cigarette butts all over the place and outside tables with duck tape holding them together. Chairs that need to be replace or thrown away before a homeless person sits in it and gets injured and sues the place. It's looks like the back part of the building where the pool is, was abandoned. The back entrance was used for a smoking area for employees that we had to walk through to get into the building. They could have very easily went to the end of the building where it looked abandoned and spent their break time. I actually hate having to write this review because the general manager Bill has always treated us great here. Not sure why this time the place is so bad. Maybe corporate needs to kick some money loose to remodel the place and give the management better support. Hell for wanting to charge customers $500 plus a night I would have expected champagne and a foot rub at least. This is Pullman and there is not a room in this town worth $500 plus a night! Period. I lived here for over 20 years, I know the area well! Please do better... 04/23/2021 update: So let me add this to this review! I just got off the phone with Quality Inn corporate office. Well they do not care that a hotel with-in their chain, is price gouging customers and they could care less what the property condition is, as they hung up on me as I was attempting to tell them about it. We stayed at this hotel while I was in town for surgery from a local surgeon. The surgeon wanted me in town for at least five days until I could get in with him for a checkup, so I stayed here. I do not regret it at all. I enjoyed every single day that I stayed here. The staff was all very nice and helpful to me. They had a huge breakfast every morning that consisted of waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, and more. The breakfast was delicious! It was so worth it to me. The rooms are nice. The rooms are nothing too fancy but have soft beds, newer carpet, and dark colors. The housekeeping staff does a GREAT job at cleaning the rooms. The staff was kind and respectful to me as well. The hotel wasn't all that busy except for Friday night/Saturday morning and then it was ok after that. There were some noisy people but nothing was too bad or shady. I really appreciated the staff extending my check out time for me until 2 p.m. instead of 12 because I had someone coming to pick us up. That was really nice and something that they didn't have to do. Thanks, Quality Inn. There is a restaurant right next door as well called Birch and Barley that is worth trying. It is really good. Go to the local Safeway if you can get there to pick up snacks, etc. as the gas station across the street has gouging prices. Overall, I recommend this hotel for a short term or long term stay or whatever your lodging needs may be! We will be back Quality Inn! read more

No frills, just a good comfortable place to stay. Very comfortable bed, not to soft. Comfy pillows and clean sheets. One street below the bottom of campus, you pass by it from campus to Walmart and Safeway. Parking can get full at night, a little dark in the parking lot. Concierge told me they just started hot breakfast again, good decent food. Scrambled eggs and sausages was good after a long day the day before. Hot water supply wasn't the best, but good enough. Will definitely consider again to save a few $$ from the Marriott up the street. read more

Very nice motel. It's not new, but the rooms have been updated and are pretty spacious. We always like the bath sink to be separated from the commode room, and they are set up like that. It's very clean, and the grounds are well maintained. The front desk and housekeeping folks were nice. There were a lot of families staying here, and it's not yet time for students to return to WSU. The outdoor pool looked nice, but my daughter and I enjoyed the fantastic indoor spa they have. Good location too, being past downtown Pullman, and on the way to good shopping in Moscow, ID. We would definitely stay here again on our little getaway trips. read more

My husband and I stayed two nights. All the staff we interacted with were very pleasant (even the poor woman who ran breakfast service and was run raged the first morning because there were two busloads of teenage musicians staying). Speaking of breakfast, it was sausage links, scrambled eggs with cheese, and diced red potatoes (and, of course, biscuits with gravy and waffles if that's your fancy). Our king room was huge with a small table and chairs as well as a desk. The sink was outside the bathroom, which I prefer. Despite the hotel being full, it was surprisingly quiet. The Bill Chipman Palouse Trail for walking and biking is adjacent on one side of the building, and the restaurant Birch and Barley on the other side is worth visiting. The hotel is close to the WSU campus and the road to Moscow. A couple things to note about the hotel. There is no elevator since the building has a creek running under it. We were on the second floor and were able to carry our luggage up without much effort, but the front desk person did offer to help. Also, for anyone who is scent sensitive, the lobby and our room were very perfumed when we arrived. We opened our window wide to air the room, which helped a lot, and the scent in the lobby went away and was not refreshed during our stay (thankfully!). read more

Came to Pullman for my sister's 21st birthday and I love the location in relation to campus, her place, and downtown Pullman. The best quality inn I've ever stayed at! Clean rooms, kind staff, helpful with payment and adding a new night with short notice. Didn't get to try the breakfast, but the hours are 6-9 am so a good window of time. Zoey's is right up the hill for good food if you want something to eat that's a part of the WSU culture! read more

This hotel has really surprised me on my stay! The staff has been super friendly during my stay and the breakfast has been delicious everyday. They have biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, sausage links, eggs, cheese and meat omelette, potatoes, waffles, cereal, assorted breads, yogurt and more! Lots of choices for everyone in the family! We stayed here for about five days and had no problems. They also have free cookies and milk in the lobby from 8-9pm everyday!! This is so awesome! They are soft and chewy just how I like it! Parking can be rough if you arrive late in the night. If you cannot find parking, then you are allowed to park in the front of the dentist office if needed. The pool and jacuzzi was super nice and relaxing. The washer and dryer was very convenient and no one was there when we were using it. The 2nd floor has its own sitting area so you can go up stairs and hangout if needed. Overall, we had an excellent stay and we will be back here in the future! Thank you for having us! read more

All I can say is "Fantastic"! Had to leave very early in the morning and still felt half asleep. Once I arrived home the hotel called to let me know I had forgotten items in the room. As an entertainer I had my "show clothes" in a garment bag in the closet. Staff quickly packed and mailed my items which I recieved within two days. I am so grateful for their proffessional and friendly service. Also if you are traveling with fido, this hotel really was pet friendly! They even had dog treats in the lobby. read more

Stopped in for a few nights with our puppy. Got a ground floor unit. Electronic keys would not work. Changed them 3 tmes. Front clerk finally came to do it and told me I had to 'Pull outwards while pushing down to open. Which worked about half the time. Very frustrating. Bathtub shower drain partially stopped up. Not draining well. The shower curtain rod had apparently been replaced but walls bot painted. Hear lamp in bathroom burned out. Mini fridge not working right. This is a difficult place to review. Why, some things are good and most are not. First, the front counter staff members are not very friendly and may even see customers as a hindrance to their daily routines. I was surprised with this because other hotels in Pullman are welcoming and seem to recognize the importance of revenue. Second, the maintenance and housekeeping "yell" down the halls to one another. This did not happen once, twice, but three times in the two days I stayed here. The maintenance is lacking as the room condition and even the hotel exterior are lacking. This is discouraging. So, why 3 stars? The saving grace is the breakfast! It offers more breadth than competing hotels. Their selection is more than one could sample. While it is not restaurant quality, it is very good for a two star hotel. Will I return? I do not want to, but given the fact that other hotels fill up in Pullman, I may need to stay there again. read more

Called them and they already had it at front desk and were about to call me. They were so accommodating and said they'd hold it for me. By the time my daughter finally got around to picking it up for me (two weeks later!!) they still had it and even very sweetly ran it out to her!! Such service!! This pillow is my favorite pillow so good for my neck and I couldn't find a replacement so I was incredibly grateful!! Was planning to stay here the night of a conference that was taking place in Moscow. I came to check in on Friday afternoon for that evening & was told that my reservation was made for the night prior & that I was marked as a "no-show." The booking error was made by the employee at the hotel when I called to make the reservations several months prior to the day. I was then left high & dry on an incredibly busy weekend in the Pullman/Moscow area. Fortunately I was able to secure a hotel room elsewhere, but for a much higher price. I was told a manager would call me about this, which did not happen. Several days later I noticed that my credit card was charged for the room that I never used. I called the hotel twice & spoke to a manager disputing the charge & was told that "that's just how it is." Even after he admitted the error was made on their end. This is a decent place to lay your head for the evening. My daughter and I were in town for a campus tour at WSU. This was one of the more reasonable hotels in the area (they are all over priced for what you get but it is a college town so you are stuck - remember University of Idaho is just 5 minutes down the road if you hotels are booked in Pullman). We got in late at night so we were only there for 11 hours. The hotel was quiet, beds were decent. Rooms have a VERY SMALL area to get ready so if you have two people who need to get ready at the same time, you are out of luck. Lighting is pretty dim in the rooms as well, making it hard to read a book without straining the eyes. Breakfast in the morning had standard fair - it was fine. Check out was a breeze. Drove 6 hours, kids really wanted to swim at the hotel after a day in the car. We picked this hotel and paid more specifically for a hotel with a pool. On arrival we were told the pool was closed due to renovations. No offer of a reduced rate. Very frustrating and very poor customer service. read more

I enjoyed my stay there while visiting Pullman to find an apartment. The place is clean and comfortable. The rooms are not fancy, but they have all that you need, including a small refrigerator. They have free breakfast every morning, and free milk and cookies every evening. They are located very close to WSU, and not too far from downtown. read more

This place deserves more stars than it has. I was apprehensive to stay here because of the comments that it is outdated (and the photos that indicate the same). I'm picky when it comes to hotels. But I was very comfortable for a 6-night stay here while visiting WSU for research. Four things are most important to me when I stay at a hotel: price, cleanliness, hospitality, and the shower. All of these things were top notch. Every single employee I saw was more than accommodating, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the showers were nice and hot with good pressure. The coverlet blanket is definitely outdated, but I just removed it and put aside anyways. A few things: *Complimentary breakfast (biscuits & gravy, waffles, pastries, sausage, bacon, eggs, potatoes, cereal, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs) *If you need a snack or are really thirsty (I felt so dehydrated because it is very dry there) you can purchase items near the front desk. *My room included a single bed and a gigantic table (great for work), microwave, fridge *The hotel is built over a stream bed...which is kind of terrible for environmental reasons but also kind of cool *Walking trail is steps from the hotel doors and will lead you downtown or to the town of Moscow *The gas station across the street has liquor, snacks, and drinks but overpriced *Birch & Barley pub next door is nice but pricey *It is 0.5 mile walk from WSU, and 0.5 mile walk from Walmart/Safeway read more

The staff was friendly and provided amazing service to me and my dog who was shuttled to the vet hospital every day by the hotel's included shuttle. They maintained a clean and safe environment during covid. The breakfast was pre package food to limit contact, but they offered more than donuts. I would highly recommend staying here if you want an affordable hotel with an accommodating staff.:) read more

I will stay in a tent before I stay at this hotel. During the Covid-19 pandemic I completely forgot to cancel my room when my trip got canceled for "family weekend" at my son's college. I realized it the day after I was supposed to check in and called to apologize. They charged my debit card leaving me with $14.86. I pleaded with them to reverse the charge but they would not budge. I asked for the owner to call me but have yet to hear from him/her. I understand that they have the right to charge me since I did not cancel in time, but under the circumstances they could show some consideration. It's not like they were full and held the room for me. Shameful! Doesn't look like much when you drive past, but it's a place to stay at a reasonable price. The rooms were clean, they allowed my dogs at no extra cost, and the free breakfast was a nice touch. I will say, the staffing was.. interesting. Every employee I ran into, except for the manager Bill, was super awkward and standoffish. Not the best people skills, in my opinion. The woman who checked us in said she liked my ring, and then the following morning when we checked out she said, "oh yes! I remember you! You have the pretty ring" that's very sweet of course, so I thanked her and asked to checkout. She asked for my room number a couple times - distracted? As I was signing my receipt she asked where she could get a ring like me. I told her I was sure there would be and engagement ring like it in her future. She said, "when are you getting married?" And I showed her that I also had a wedding band. She said, "oh, so you don't really need the engagement one anymore" I just stared at her.. "can I have it?" She then proceeded to ask me where I was traveling and didn't even listen to my answer, as someone walked by, and she was too busy saying, "hi sweetie!!" To them. I should know better than to stay at Quality Inns. They are very low end. This one in Pullman Washington is horrible. I checked in, lobby was dirty, and found cockroaches in the bathroom. Called American Express and had them cancel the payment. I checked right out, drove 8 miles to Moscow I'd a's bo, got a suite for 10 bucks more at a Fairfield Inn... Given the limited amount of places to stay in Pullman, this was our usual go-to when it came time for move-ins at the beginning of the school year. Although it's not the newest of places, it always provided a clean and comfortable experience. As others have mentioned, they feature a pretty decent continental breakfast and we would always race back to smell the aroma of chocolate chip cookies wafting through the lobby. What the Quality Inn Paradise Creek (QIPC) lacks in modern ambience, an elevator, and functioning door locks, it MORE than makes up for with a party porch, after-hours cookies, a good location, and water features galore. QIPC seems less interested in people who need to be assured this is the "right place" on looks alone than people who are willing to discover for themselves the essence of Pullman! Take a dip in the pool, session the sauna, bask in your own filth (and the filth of another) in the jetted tub for two (gotta book the King Suite), and drop a fishing line right off the back porch into The Paradise Creek. And if a soak in the hot tub wasn't enough, book the room right above it (235?) so you can enjoy its fumes all night. Great location adjacent to the bike path for a straight shot into Moscow (Floyd's Cannabis on the way). If biking, don't drink too much in Moscow cuz you'll have a head wind from hell on the way back. Just across the street is a Chevron that supplies a comical amount of liquor and Ben & Jerry's. Live it up, live it out, and make yourself feel right at the Quality Inn Paradise Creek! I've stayed here twice and it'll always and forever be my go-to. read more

Hmm, how to review a hotel that lets you and your wedding guests party up in the lobby until the wee hours, but also loses the reservation of the bride and groom and several other guests? We opted to reserve rooms for our wedding guests at the Quality Inn. They were significantly cheaper than the Holiday Inn down the road, and since people were already traveling so far to come to the wedding, we didn't want them to have to book an expensive hotel. The process of actually reserving the block of rooms went very smoothly. When we checked in with them a few weeks before the event, they let us know that the rooms we'd reserved were almost filled up. It didn't seem to be a problem, because most people that we'd spoken with had already reserved their rooms. We reserved one too. Not because I'd been dreaming my whole life of spending my wedding night at a budget hotel, but because it made the most sense logistically. And I didn't want to spend it in my Mom's basement. Anyway, on the Friday morning before the wedding, we stopped in to visit with The Fiance's parents who'd checked in the night before. They were very happy with their room--they got one of the bigger suite-style ones with a kitchenette and little living room area. And it was very nice, clean, well-kept furniture. On our way out, we talked with a guy at the counter to make sure he knew that we'd be checking in late the next night after the reception. No problem! he said. Someone will be here to check you in. Well, yes, there was someone there to check people in when we all piled off the shuttle at midnight. And they were very kind and patient with the pizza party that ensued (even offered to let us use the empty banquet hall), complete with Wisconsin fight songs and whatnot. But they couldn't seem to find anyone's reservations who hadn't checked in yet. They said their computer was down and that they were working on it, but after 1/2 hour of aimlessly punching keys, it became apparent that we were screwed. Now, I don't want to be all Bridezilla. But it was ridiculous. They offered to send us over to The Hilltop, another hotel in Pullman, but we were so tired and didn't have any way of getting there or back. We ended up staying in The Fiance's (well, Hubby's) parents' room, and they slept on the floor in someone else's room. Several of my friends ended up doing the same sort of thing--crashing on the floor of other peoples' rooms. Luckily the hotel comped a bunch of rooms, but they really seemed like they had no idea which rooms, if any, were open or who was staying where. So, yeah. I'm sure this place is great for a one-room, one-night kind of stay, but I sure wouldn't recommend using this place for your wedding party. On a side note, I *would* recommend this place for your high school prom. I mean, it's been well over a decade now, but that banquet room was sure bumpin' in Spring '99! read more

I was recently in Pullman, WA for a conference and we stayed here because it was a mile, or a little less, from Washington State University. That is where the conference was. So it was easy to walk to WSU, but freezing! I mean, I live in Vegas, so I froze. That is besides the point though. Back to the quality of the Quality Inn. I enjoyed it and had no issues. It is a small town and I think the people there were really kind and helpful. There is a cozy little area in the front with chairs and couches to relax and enjoy a morning cup of coffee, if you like coffee. There are two floors and beware, if you are the second floor there is no elevator, but it is not too far up. Good exercise! They feed you breakfast in the morning, cute and delicious danishes, muffins, toast, fruit, and OF COURSE they had the waffle maker! I most definitely rate a hotel on the basis of having a waffle maker. I think it is an essential amenity for hotels, especially if your on vacation and need a nice waffle to start the relaxation. They have a mini-fridge and microwave combo, huge tv, and comfy beds. The water pressure in the shower was acceptable, which is nearly impossible to find these days, and I liked how the shower and toilet were in one room, and it had the sink and mirror right outside the bathroom. It also had a huge mirror on the wall on the opposite side of the sink which was useful when there were four girls all trying to get ready in the same room. Sharing is caring. Overall I really liked this place, the staff, and the cozy feeling it provided me when I walked through the doors into the warmth! read more

Took my daughter and her friend to tour the WSU campus and when we arrived the lady at the reception area was extremely nice and helpful. She gave us a map of the town as well as one of the campus. The room was clean, comfortable and I felt safe there (considering we are 3 females traveling alone). Beds were comfy, clean shower and to top it off the complimentary breakfast was excellent. It's not the most updated place but definitely felt cozy and welcoming. If my daughter chooses WSU we will definitely come back and stay here. read more

In town to get ACL repair surgery for my doggo. Price was great, room was spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful. When I booked the room I mentioned my dog was getting surgery. They made sure I had the perfect room. Right next to the entrance and on the ground floor. I asked about water at the front desk and the lady who was working filled my bottle up with filtered water in the kitchen! For the location (less than 1 mile from WSU campus) and the price I can't imagine a better choice in Pullman when visiting for a short amount of time. read more

Listen, the place is a tad dated but seemed clean enough. We attempted to stay. We settled in and were getting comfy on the beds when I noticed a BED BUG crawling on the side of my bed! I quickly gathered it into a tissue and then into a ziploc bag. Needless to say, we left...at 11:30pm! Thankfully the guy at the desk was understanding and gave us a full refund. He offered another room but we were not about to take that chance!! If you've not read up about bed bugs, please do! Nothing to take lightly! Also, the parking was RIDICULOUS! Not near enough spots for the hotel and we ended up parking a ways away in a dark lot for another business. read more

My brother-in-law and his fiance had to postpone their early May wedding due to the pandemic. I had reserved a room here for the wedding, and when I reserved the room there was a very clear no refund policy. Well, I just checked my bank account and found that the Quality Inn gave me a partial refund (half of what I had been charged for the room). In a time like this when money is stretched thin for businesses and people alike, it was quite the pleasant surprise to see. Stayed here for the week while moving in two kids to WSU and our stay was better than expected. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job cleaning our room. We left a tip and that never happens. The beds were better than the other "INN" hotel I have stayed at down the road. Quality Inn was better priced, same morning breakfast and clean rooms, we will stay here again. I was beyond impressed with this place! The customer service by all the staff (especially Linda at the front desk) exceeded my expectations. I have been to many "fancy" resorts in my life, and this Quality Inn customer service surpassed any I have received. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was more than enough for my two teenage boys. The pool area was clean and parking was easy. We will definitely stay there again when in Pullman. read more

I am not saying it was dirty, but when we came back from the day, the bed was barely made. If I had made a bed like that when I was little I would have totally gotten in trouble. I also shutter to think what I would find had I been a Nightline investigative reporter. Also, the price was way way too high.
