They are understaffed so there was no one to check my vehicle in when I returned it, CRAZY, I should have known better. They fly a Hertz banner but but seem to be a franchisee of some type. Why does it matter? because I tried to call Hertz customer support to contest my claim, Hertz Corp, couldn't help me because they were not part of their system and now you're back trying to deal with the Pullman people who made the bogus and false claim in the first place. I am a frequent renter of Hertz, so fly into Spokane and rent there, expensive lesson learned !

I wish I…read morehad read the other negative responses here before booking, and I hope you save yourself time, money, and trouble by doing the same. When arriving with my family at this Hertz in the Pullman Airport during posted operational hours on Christmas Eve, no one was around their area even though the lights were on and the back office door was slightly open. I had to ask someone working at the airport about what to do, and they referred me to a number that was on a piece of paper on the Hertz desk in small print. After at least 3 phone calls to that number and almost 30 minutes later, a woman finally answered. We had booked our pickup for noon, and though we had arrived at 3 pm, it was absolutely within Hertz's stated policy that this would be no issue as long as the rental was picked up on the same day before closing time - again, which was stated as 6:30 pm. This makes sense, because planes and people are obviously late and don't show up exactly on time for car rentals every day. The woman on the phone line immediately asked if we were the 11 am pickup. I told her we were the noon pickup. She said that it was Christmas Eve and they closed at noon. What? She then claimed that her staff had even stayed longer for an extra hour, but we were a no-show. There was no indication, not on emails and definitely not in the office, that they closed at noon that day (which by the way would have meant they were only open for 1 hour if they opened at 11 am). I explained that their office hours stated that they would be open until 6:30 pm. I understand earlier closing times because of Christmas Eve, but as a travel company, even in a small airport, you would expect them to stick with the posted hours that were advertised to us. Despite trying to explain further, our family was left with no car rental on Christmas Eve - but we were charged in full for the rental we were not allowed to pickup. After many hours of trying to plead our case to both Hertz and Hotwire that we were denied service because this Hertz was not open during its advertised hours, neither would budge and provide a refund. Even if they mistakenly forgot to update their operational hours, they never truly tried to correct the error and treat us as customers that they actually cared about. In reading other comments, it seems like this type of bad business is common. I would highly recommend renting anywhere else.

I was halfway home before I realized I didn't get a rough estimated time, so I called and she said best she could give was 5pm when they close. Roughly around 2pm the mechanic calls me and tells me that my car looks fine there was low oil so he filled that, thankfully they never tried to sell me something I didn't need, he filled my tires and fluids and said they'd call after they checked the engine code that kept coming on. News flash Mckenna never called, I called at 4:40 to just ask for my car back, she said "oh well it's been ready," to which I responded "okay so why wasn't I notified..?" to which she responded "well you shoulda gotten a text." I obviously didn't thus the reason I called- nevertheless there was supposed to be a phone call like they said there would be on two different accounts. I came to pick my car up and I got to my car they had left the windows down, who leaves someone's windows down?? As well the cars interior was visibly blackened from the mechanic, I have bright interior, they should have wiped it down if it was visibly much darker than before(they also make things like steering wheel covers and what not for these things), there was genuine grime on the doors, steering wheel, and seat as well as smudgy finge prints on my door. I'm overall extremely disappointment in this shop, if this was the last shop open and I needed my car seen asap- I'd just YouTube it and attempt to do it myself; I recommend going literally ANYWHERE else. Biggest waste of $104.

I spent over $4,000 for a new power steering pump, alignment, and they somehow found that my steering was still not straight (even though it was not an issue before) so they called me and told me everything they needed to do. Since I travel for work 5 days a week, I felt I had no choice but to let them continue and finish the service. When I brought the final cost and services to a different auto repair shop, they felt so bad for me for spending the money I did. That's when I knew I made a big, big mistake. They also don't have an issue pressuring you into making sure they get to work on your car. They want to overcharge and take advantage of people who have little to no car maintenance experience. They also take too long to get simple repairs done. I had my car dropped off for the above service. During that time, I needed to get a rental because they didn't have any loaner cars available (according to them). They promised me it would only take 2 days. I called every day for 4 days and then they changed the pick up day/time for the following day. Finally was ready. BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!! I drove about 5 miles and started hearing noises as I drove on the main road. I took it back and they said my struts were worn out and they needed to be replaced. I asked them how did they not catch that during my initial service? They told me they didn't hear anything during the test drive and they didn't do anything to those parts of the car. BULLCRAP! They did a wheel alignment (or did they?). I took it to Les Schwab and they said my struts were fine that they were just loose and they did what they did for free and sent me on my way. My assumption for that is they want to take their sweet a$$ time so they can charge more for labor costs. So many issues with this crap auto repair company. I encourage anyone who is thinking of getting services done here to go elsewhere. Literally anywhere else in Moscow or Pullman. Heck, travel to Spokane/CDA if you have to.
