Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We called down to the front desk and requested a couple more towels, staff delivered towels in just a few minutes. There's a huge parking area and a park. We have told everyone we know about The Hampton in. Lewiston. It seriously ii five-star hotel!

I trusted it was handled, but during my most recent stay, I began experiencing itching from what looked like bug bites. Subsequently, I discovered the mattress seams were covered with debris -- hair, toenail clippings, crumbs, several live carpet beetle larvae, and another unidentified bug. Front desk staff moved me to another room on another floor, which was in the same unsanitary and filthy condition under the mattress. I checked out immediately. Management later offered a generic apology and 10,000 points, only after I reached out myself. They didn't reply to my follow up email when I explained this is a health and sanitation issue, not an inconvenience. The lack of response is concerning. This property clearly has an ongoing pest and housekeeping problem that poses a public health concern. I'm posting this so Hilton corporate is aware and guests can make an informed decision before booking.

After a long day of being on the river in 100+ degrees weather, the hotel was a welcome sight. The hotel was clean and check in for our group was very easy. The room was spacious, and modern. The towels were fluffy, air conditioner was perfect and the beds were comfortable. They also offer a breakfast buffet and free Wi-Fi . We were thirsty and hot and headed down to their restaurant (Meriwether's Bistro) to have a meal. They also have MJ Barleyhoppers brewhouse, which is family friendly. The bartender, Riley was very professional and made us feel welcome. He listened to my food allergies and recommended a terrific entree of King Salmon. He also informed us that this is the only full service hotel in all of Lewiston. Our stay was short because of the jet boat adventure, but I know we will definitely return to Lewiston and this hotel in the near future.

Upon entering room, I see that the toilet is full of poop. The front desk arranged for housekeeper to come clean. My room is close to the ice machine. One man was getting multiple loads of ice, lasting more than 30 minutes. Ended just before 10am when I asked the front desk to switch rooms. I was told no rooms were available. About 150 guests in the hotel this evening are getting up at 4am in order to leave by 5:30am. Not easy to get to sleep with so much noise. The front desk should warn people of the potential for noise.

My mission was to find a budget motel with decent features. Mission accomplished: this place met…read morethose criteria. So: four stars. My room was clean and functional. It was very quiet. Beyond that, I enjoyed the ambiance of the lobby, where I sat and read for several hours, as various people came in and chatted with the staff. Not five stars. $100 a night passes for low-cost, these days; still, I thought they could have made sure the bathroom sink drained normally. I didn't much care for the breakfast. Sugary orange drink instead of OJ, no plain water to drink, only a toasted bagel or a dubious egg biscuit & sausage casserole for hot food. It was free - but when I got to the plastic knives that were too flimsy to spread cream cheese on my bagel, I felt that maybe the cost-cutting had gone a bit overboard. Overall, it was acceptable. It wasn't as nice and new as the competing places tend to be, but it gave me what I needed, at a lower cost than most of those competitors.

For $100. Parking is a bit limited. Way less spaces than there are rooms. Huge pool. Nice little patio with table and chairs right outside my room. The place is really clean and really comfortable. Since this is not a Plus property (a BW Plus is under construction just down the street) I wasn't sure what to expect but this place is fine.

The staff was friendly. There were no weird smells in the hallways or ancient elevator. The floorplan is odd and the walls are thin, at one point it sounded like someone was attempting to enter our room through the ceiling. There is a railroad 8' from the rear of the building that our room directly overlooked, thankfully it doesn't run on weekends. The little coffee pot was inches away from the toddler sized toilet with a seat that was barely hanging on and could only be flushed once a day. When I closed the shower curtain there was a used washcloth hanging between the rings, I put that on the floor for housekeeping. The bed was super comfy and springy like the ones in grandmas spare room, so we got really good sleep. I will definitely spend the extra $$$ for a quality hotel and read the reviews first from now on.

To give you an idea I put two bottles of water in the freezer part and did not even develope a slight freeze overnight. 2-The desk is nice but there is no light or outlet to plug in your laptop. And to add insult to injury the pnuematic chair will not stay adjusted to desk height so when you sit in it it slowling goes down. 3-Carpets. Looks dirty and with stains. 4-The refrigerator is in an open cabinet with a microwave on top. I have no idea with the amount of dust but it is nasty looking. For 170.00 I was not expecting the Hilton but I was expecting a nice room that after a 13 hour drive I could lay back and relax. Not the case, sad to say. If I was not so exhausted from my drive and if it was not 9:30 at night I would have gone down to the office to ask my reservation be cancelled and my card credited. But I was just to exhausted like I said after a 13 hour drive.

If you can, avoid it. There are spotlights directly outside the first floor windows that are used to light up the building at night. Yeah, so cool, except they shine...all night. So no matter how late it is, lights the power of the sun will still shine through your window like crazy. I woke up at 4am and genuinely couldn't tell if that was the sun I was seeing or the lights melting my retinas. I'm not kidding. They are very very bright. And the curtains are blackout but guess what? They don't close fully. So you're still gonna get an invasive ray of hell across the room. The beds were "soft" to the touch but once your body weight hit the bed. SOLID. Ouch. The vending machines hadn't been updated since 1850 so good luck getting any snack out of there. No drink vending machines which was kinda sad cuz I was thirsty and don't like drinking hotel water. The color schemes in the room are absolutely hideous. Of all colors, whoever designed these rooms chose the most stress inducing shades of green, yellow, red, orange, and black. The walls were CHARTREUSE. The shower had three settings. "Burn alive", "hypothermia", and "shower screams at you like a harpy". Walls are thinner than shit and we could hear our neighbor snoring so clearly I felt like I was intimately spooning him. Lowkey, some drugged out guests started bickering in the hallway at like 1am. Just save yourself and stay at Holiday.
