Where do I start. The front lady was very nice. I'll give the good news first. Anyways, we were quite unlucky with our reservation and ended up having to book a first floor room. If you can, avoid it. There are spotlights directly outside the first floor windows that are used to light up the building at night. Yeah, so cool, except they shine...all night. So no matter how late it is, lights the power of the sun will still shine through your window like crazy. I woke up at 4am and genuinely couldn't tell if that was the sun I was seeing or the lights melting my retinas. I'm not kidding. They are very very bright. And the curtains are blackout but guess what? They don't close fully. So you're still gonna get an invasive ray of hell across the room. The beds were "soft" to the touch but once your body weight hit the bed. SOLID. Ouch. The vending machines hadn't been updated since 1850 so good luck getting any snack out of there. No drink vending machines which was kinda sad cuz I was thirsty and don't like drinking hotel water. The color schemes in the room are absolutely hideous. Of all colors, whoever designed these rooms chose the most stress inducing shades of green, yellow, red, orange, and black. The walls were CHARTREUSE. The shower had three settings. "Burn alive", "hypothermia", and "shower screams at you like a harpy". Walls are thinner than shit and we could hear our neighbor snoring so clearly I felt like I was intimately spooning him. Lowkey, some drugged out guests started bickering in the hallway at like 1am. Just save yourself and stay at Holiday. read more

This place is A-OK. On the day we were there the hotel was full and they could only find one of our reservations. But the lady at the front desk who I assume was the GM worked very hard despite being swamped with check ins to find our other reservation. I really appreciated that. Rooms were just fine and clean. The breakfast was great and fresh every morning. Good location for everywhere you need to go in Lewiston/Clarkston. This is no 5 Star hotel but doesn't claim to be. I stayed here to drop my son off in Pullman, Washington for college. I have also stayed closer to Pullman when I could get a hotel and was treated very well there because they recognized that Coug families come to stay a lot. This was not the case at Inn America. The lady at the front counter offered no greeting, no smile, nothing. She just said, "Name?" I know she didn't have a big gray wig and a cigarette hanging out of her mouth with glasses on the end of her nose but her attitude and demeanor suggested so. Our room could best be described as, "Lipstick on a Pig." They clear did some sort of updates. My door handle was covered in sawdust. Only one of our keycards worked and with much jimmy rigging. The floors were dusty. I regret not taking pictures in the bathroom but you'll just have to stick with my description. The bathroom door had recently been painted but it looked as though there was a bunch of dust or sand in the paint because it was kind of chunky looking and thick drip markers along the base of the door. The tub had a brown ring stain on the bottom. The faucet was extremely hard to turn. There was a large screw in the middle of the faucet that looked as if it was driven in by the Incredible Hulk because it literally twisted the metal in the center. The mattresses were bouncy and gave us back pain and the tv was old and grainy. To top it off, when I was checking out, I carried a smile and greeting but the lady at the counter did not. Here entire encounter with me consisted of one letter, "K." That was all I got. I sort of backed away unsure if she needed anymore from me. Honestly I would give a better review if the people had at least been polite but they weren't. To make matters completely worse, although my review was simple, polite, and just to the point, they did not post my review and that is the picture I got. Don't stay here! When reading reviews, always sort newest to oldest because this hotel used to be better. We stayed here years ago and it was fine, but it must be under different management, if you even want to call it management. Actually, when I did ask for a manager, there wasn't one! I was told they had the weekend off... A hotel manager has the weekend off... I don't ask for much, but there was no hot water, a clogged sink, no A/C (broken), and almost non-existent breakfast. If I wanted to camp, I would have at least come prepared. When I asked to cancel our second night, they kept saying the computer system was down due to a power outage, which they also said caused the water issue (huh?). I couldn't wait to get out of there. It was a hassle to scramble and pack up everything and move to another hotel to shower before the event (funeral) we were attending, but it was worth it. read more

Do not stay here ever!!! Our nonsmoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. Midway through the night I woke up with a sore throat and a stuffy nose from the disgusting smoke. When we checked in there were shady people in the lobby. One woman sat on the lobby couch and clearly was higher than a kite. Then there was a half dressed dude covered in fur standing by the doorway smoking. And the woman with no teeth ... I did not feel safe there. The staff was not friendly. The pillows smelled dirty. I reserved my room a month in advance. They asked me for my card number to put a hold on my room. The day before we were supposed to stay there, I called to make sure they had my room on hold. They said they couldn't find my reservation or any information about my card number. I talked to the manager and told her who took my info the first time and she "believed me", so she said she would give me a discount and extremely apologized, she then put another hold on a room and marked as if I paid cash. When I got to the hotel, I was ready to pay with my card and the front desk said I had already paid with my card so I said "okay". Then when I got up to my room, the front desk called my room and said they found both of my reservations in their system and the person who put it in the system before put my last name first, which is why they didn't find it the second time I called. That was just one of the problems... The room was HORRIBLE! We were in room 201. There were stains on the walls and in the dresser drawers. There was a hole in the wall where the door had swung open and punctured it. The sink was clogged and filled up with water. After I left, I looked at my bank account, and they had charged me the original amount and not the discounted amount. If I were you, I would not stay there. read more

Checked in on June 6, 2018. Maybe only a 3 Star room; But super friendly, helpful staff and Clean, 2 double beds, pet friendly. Self serve breakfast includes waffles, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cold cereals and juices. Room rate was $69 and Red Lion (across the street) wanted $150 for the same night. We were just in town on an one-night stay so we saved the $80, plus the cost of breakfast. Win win. I'm updating my review! We've stayed here several more times, for a week at a time. First week in January and last week of March, 2019. We enjoy it more and more each visit. It's feeling "homey". The staff is SUPER and this last visit we brought a grandson to town with us and we were able to get a family room AND a great rate! Our dogs "know the ropes" and enjoy the dog area. SOME folks don't clean up after their pets, but that's not a management/property issue it's a PATRON issue. Inn America's rates and hospitality, combined, make this our "go to" place when visiting Lewiston, every few months. read more

STAY AWAY! I reserved a room for 10 days, almost 2 months ago. My rate was $61 a night. When I checked in, they had changed the rate for Friday and Saturday night to almost $200 per night. They said the hotel was booked, and rates changed all the time. I have NEVER had a hotel change my rate after I had made reservations and been given a rate, and I travel a lot. Do not stay at this hotel unless you want to be surprised at what your stay will actually cost you. Needless to say, I stayed till Friday and left. Further their "breakfast" was hard biscuits, and grey goop they called gravy. Disgusting. The door to my room had a gap at the bottom that was almost 1/2 inch wide. I could see into the hallway through the gap. This place makes a Motel 6 look like a 5 star resort. read more

I had stayed here in the past and it was never an issue. It wasn't anything fancy but that was fine. I stayed two weeks ago and absolutely horrible experience. They put me in the handicap room which I didn't mind, but it reeked of period blood. The floors didn't look like they'd been vacuumed, there was junk in the desk, a mini fridge shelf on the floor, no shower curtain and when I went to go ask for one the girl at the front just handed it to me. I thought about switching rooms and the other one just smelled stale. So stale smell or period blood. When I finally went to bed the linens looks like they just tucked the blanket over the slept in sheets. I was so tired I just gave up. I will never be coming back. And yes I did take it up with 2 front desk staff and the manager, all I got was "I'm sorry, we just got new cleaning staff and haven't been checking their work." Never again. read more

The only reason this place gets any stars is because of the super helpful and friendly lady that helped me book the room when Expedia messed up my reservation. The place seems kind of run down, there are (not well) patched holes in the walls in the stairways and room. Also, the room itself had a few different odors to it. My biggest complaint is that our A/C didn't work but knowing the hotel was booked solid we knew we couldn't be moved to another room. Our first two nights were absolutely miserable and none of us slept well at all due to the heat. When I did bring this up to the hotel I didn't even get an apology. Basically I'd recommend running, not walking, to another hotel in the area if you can. read more

Meager accommodations, even for a budget motel. I have stayed at Quality Inn/Comfort Inn and even Rodeway Inn locations that were far and a way higher class than this joint and yet are still in the same class of accommodations. The public men's room down the hall off the lobby/foyer had yellow CAUTION tape over it with a "OUT OF ORDER" hand-written sign scrawled on it. The first floor hallway smelled like a musty attic. And then there was the room. Putting aside the dirty sheets, the room positively reeked of... feet. Absolutely vile. There was garbage left inside the small mini fridge that had clearly been there a while. The mold in the tile grout all in the bathroom was what really got me though. I understand the place is not a five-star resort and therefore expectations should be reasonably set. However badly patched holes in the interior walls all over the building, rank odors, mold, suspect linens? Come now. The Lewiston / Clarkston Valley deserves a far more respectable establishment than that. Truly shameful. read more

This review is second in a series, trashing the motels in Lewiston that eliminated amenities, raised rates, ignore potential discounts, and charge extra fees in an effort to squeeze every possible dollar from every rented room, all in the name of COVID-19. I'm calling bullshit. Before the travel restrictions came into play, this place offered fair pricing, a good breakfast, and was able to waive pet fees on longer-term stays. (BTW, I consider pet fees to be worth deductions of two stars in my ratings). My first week in Lewiston was spent here, and I enjoyed a comfortable room, some decent breakfasts, and fair value. I stayed again a month ago, and it's a different place. Of course no breakfast; forget about using the pool, and they charged rack rate unless booked through a discounter like Priceline or Booking.com. No one asks if AAA, AARP, or any medical travel discounts may apply. And no consideration is given to those of us who are here to work as medical professionals dealing with the coronavirus problem. The place has clean rooms. One star. That's the very least I expect when I pay money for a room. If I stay 4-5 nights, require almost no housekeeping service during that time, and leave a room that takes two housekeepers 15-20 minutes to clean and remake, then why don't I at least get a refund of that damned pet fee? So not many recent reviews... It's time for another one. Not terrible, certainly no where near some of the older reviews. I was able to check in relatively early. The room was ready to go quite early. I was very much appreciative of that since the stay was kinda a business trip. It allowed me to get changed into business attire so that I could get that part of my trip out of the way. The fist impression was a clean and tidy lobby and a clean and tidy room. However, after closer inspection there were a few small things that I noticed. My biggest issue was that the microwave was not clean. Extremely disgusting. The room was a bit stuffy, nothing that opening the windows couldn't do. The earlier review indicating the existence of bed bugs is no longer relevant. Don't let that scare you away. The front desk receptionist was very polite and personable (a younger red-headed woman). I appreciated the warm reception. The manager was there also; most certainly not the same person from the earlier review posted in 2015. The king bed was nice, lots of room. However, either the box-spring or the mattress needs to be replaced. There were divots on either side of the bed that made you feel like you were falling into a rut while trying to sleep. (Now, take this next part with a grain of salt.) The sheets did feel rather coarse and rough on my skin, it was not pleasant. But keep in mind I suffer from neuropathy, so with that level of sensitive skin, things can feel much more invasive than they would to another. The room itself was rather spacious and it felt nice having the 5 of us in there. All in all it was a pleasant stay. Do go and try it out for yourself. read more

This place has pretty limited parking, so get here a little early. The lobby and entire first floor is extremely hot while we were there, and it appears as if it will stay that way. We stayed on the 3rd floor, which as observed by others, does have a musty/smokey smell that hits you immediately out of the elevator. i.e. - turn on your window A/C immediately, drop your bags, and go swim in the pool. The A/C works pretty well after you give it a push start. We were here for a scheduled 3 nights, and our key cards had to be fixed twice. The staff was very accommodating with our needs. This is definitely a no frills yet quiet place to sleep. The mattress was flat and I did feel the springs poke, but this is what I expected. We came with 2 little girls who I am sure were the noisiest in the hotel, and made full use of the outdoor swimming pool. We felt safe even with two little 6 y.o.'s stomping around. You can ask for swimming pool deck towels as to not use your own room supply, but if you stay for multiple days, they tend to not restock room towels. The breakfast was cereal and milk, waffles, and biscuits and gravy. Nothing too fancy, but nothing to complain about either. Also, looking at the pictures, we did have clean sheets and towels. Woke up at 6:30am itching and covered in bites--found bedbugs crawling on the bed. Caught them and took one to the front desk, only to be told the manager wouldn't be in until 8:00 but he would contact us. This was followed up with a call to our room a few minutes later threatening us not to tell other patrons. At 8:30 when we checked with the girl at the front desk she told us, Eric, the manager had come and gone but was told about the bugs. She went on to say he had gone shopping and would call-- this was over 48 hours ago and still no call from Eric. When we asked how to contact him, she wouldn't give us his contact information and added 'it doesn't involve me, so it doesn't affect me and I really don't care' handed us a bill for the FULL amount charged on the card used to hold our 2 rooms for 3 nights and demanded us to leave or she would call the cops. Lets be real, this isn't a hotel. It's a motel. If you're looking for something really nice, go to Red Lion and pay $120 a night for it. I travel for work, so I stay weeks at a time in Lewiston. This is the ONLY motel that I have found that is "in-between" a nasty scary crap motel and the Red lion. It's inexpensive and the rooms seem clean. That's really all I expect from a cheap motel. The staff is nice. The elevator smells a little funky. They have quite a selection of breakfast foods to choose from including make your own waffles which was really good. It's the go to motel for me and our workers. read more

Given the low price I paid to stay here I'm actually quite surprised at the look of the rooms.. That said, the beds are rock hard and you can hear the springs every time you roll over.. There are mysterious spots all over the white pillowcases and there is an odd smell in the room.. May just be the paper mill stenching it up through the window.. They screwed up my reservation (3-4 bed family room), over charged me for a smaller disgusting room (2 double beds, holes in walls and stains all over our bedding, carpet and walls which was report to staff), and when talking to the GM, HEATHER, after waiting 3 days of no replies or call backs during our stay she told me to deal with it and hung up. So unprofessional, will never recommend this hotel and will be reported for conditions in room. She was disrespectful to us and other customers about this situation and we came from out of town to support the community with Toys for Tots tournament. Worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. We drove up from Boise Idaho taking my daughter to college. We booked the room months in advance. Once we arrived, they said they cancelled our room. They said they tried billing our card, which our bank showed no attempts, and said it declined. They also stated they tried calling us twice the day of the reservation, of course the day we were traveling, with no answer. Of course, no hotels have anything available because of the college students moving in this weekend. We now have to drive to Grangeville, over an hour longer out of our way, and pay triple what we were paying. I hate this hotel and will NEVER stay at any hotel associated with this one again! During the night someone (a cleaning worker Is what the front desk told us) tried to open our door twice at 2:27 am. Then they succeeded in getting it open but the extra lock stopped them from getting in. Now I would believe that it was a cleaning person if the person didn't run away and disappear after trying and if there wasn't a cart out in the hallway. I think someone was trying to either steal something or something more sinister. I will not be staying here again. read more

These people are crooks. I booked two different weekends a year ago for 11/2017. I canceled these weekends many months ago to avoid any penalties and they still charged me the full amount (even per their own policy, if I was a no show, they should have only charge me for one night - they can't even follow their own rules). It took getting both Expedia and American Express involved to pressure this hotel to refund me the nearly $300 they owed me. Luckily they acquiesced before I had to spend money on a lawyer to prove a point. Calls to the hotel only connected me with illiterate staff that couldn't manage their booking software and then ignored my requests for assistance. Very friendly staff, takes short notice customer/walk in. Kudos to night staff for cleaning the room at 11pm! Here's the story: My family and I had quite an adventure after spending all day in Pullman for mother's weekend. I was only able to find and reserved a room at a motel located in Lewiston, ID called Cider Inn. We checked in at around 10pm or so. Upon entering the room that was assigned to us (Room 214) we notice white crumbs all over the floor, beds are made but one of the queen bed has only one sheet that is obviously dirty. Then we also notice the sink counter has coffee stains, mirror has dried splashed toothpaste, no bathtowels except for one hand towel. Despite these findings we have no rescue or the urgency to solve the problems from front desk staff (2 young ladies) and we called them three times!!!! Needless to say we checked out after waiting 20 minutes, mind you it was almost midnight by then. Anyways we called 3 motels nearby and Inn America offered us a room. The room wasn't quite ready for customer when we called. Found out during checking in that it's due to short of housekeeper, but the room got cleaned late at night nonetheless. I want to say...Kudos to the night staff. They're helping us without even realizing it. They could've wait until next morning to clean the room but because it is matter to them they have a customer who is so grateful to have a place to rest after having long day with two tired kids.
