Nice shops and restaurants all around that you can stroll to. Free parking. Coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and hair dryer in room. We felt very safe for walking in the area at night. Lots of food choices nearby. After a sleep we determined that the bed comfort was good to ok. Pretty solid and firm mattresses with white sheets and a thin blanket. Good temp control in room. Not too hot but not cold. Best part was check in and check out via text is amazingly convenient. Cons: paper thin walls, so we can hear noise from other rooms. Plus the noisy traffic on Jefferson Street is very loud since it's a very, very busy street basically all day and night. Noted at 11pm there is still constant traffic swishing by. Super Thin windows with tissue paper thin blinds so there is absolutely no noise buffering. Could also hear music beats vibrating through walls. Sorry your ear plugs do not protect from music vibrations since there is no definitive sound but still can feel the beat while not hearing lyrics. I'm a heavy sleeper but woken up by this noise after several hours sleeping is too much! Then in the morning around 5:30 AM, the noise started through the walls again with the neighbor's bedside clock alarm going off . The in-room provided alarm clocks suck...as ours unexpectedly went off by 6am as well!!!!!! Plus we could hear the neighbor's voices through the walls word for word in the morning. An additional improvement suggestion that I think is very important for personal safety: the owners should install a deadbolt in addition to a single swing bar lock at the top of the door that they currently offer. Since this motel does remote check in via text their door locks are pin coded. It is very unsettling to think how little security the physical doors offer with a single swing lock inside. I would've felt much more secure inside the room if they also had a manual deadbolt above the door knob. Noted, this accommodation was much less expensive than other places in the area that were double what we paid here. Still we paid well over $200 on a Friday night. This is bottom tier lodging for sure but a trade off in saving money while being in an excellent location. Thankfully the streets in this area appear safe. Location is excellent for convenience but maybe not rest. Beware.

The hotel was fully booked with many being students and families. Even though the hotel was busy, everything flowed nicely and it didn't seem stressful at all. Check in was quick online prior to arrival and when we arrived to pick up the key around 6 PM there was no line at the front desk. We were able to get parking just outside the entrance of our wing. When we took the kids to the pool, there were only a few people in there. And in the morning, there was plenty of food for everybody eating the complementary breakfast. We stayed in a bottom floor interior room. Our window looked out over the interior courtyard. There were a few people lounging about on the patio out there, but it felt perfectly private in our room. The walls are solid concrete brick. I thought that was interesting, but it probably contributed to the absolute silence during our stay. The beds were comfortable and they had all the things to make it comfy in the room like a coffee maker and refrigerator. The location is excellent being right across the street from the university and Winco and down the street from all the shopping. I highly recommend staying here if you want a really quiet night stay in a nicer hotel for the area.

Although there are a couple of things that bring this location down, but they are addressing some of them with upcoming renovations. So, if you're going to the University of Idaho, this hotel is really well located. It's really close to campus, and provides a good option for access to campus. The hotel is really large. It has a conference center attached to it. There's an indoor pool, and a fitness center. They also have a restaurant and a bar in the hotel itself. The main issues with this locations are that it's pretty outdated. The rooms clearly haven't been updated for a while, and the interior of the hotel is also a little bit on the older side. Now, they are addressing this and are currently renovating the bathrooms and all of the hotel rooms. So this may change in the coming months. The other thing that brought this location down for me specifically for my stay. There was a really loud noise coming from what I think was the central air, and there was nothing that I could do about it the entire time that I was there. Overall, this is a good option if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Moscow. Just be aware that it's a little outdated, and a little worn out. But, like I said, they're updating the rooms as we speak.

One of the highlights of our stay was the excellent complimentary full buffet breakfast! There were plenty of delicious choices, including scrambled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, English muffins, cereal, bacon, hash brown bites, apples, and more. They also provide coffee, tea, and hot water. It was a great way to start the day! Everything seemed very clean and the beds were comfortable, offering a ton of different pillows We did have a view of a dumpster which wasn't great but it also didn't matter because we just literally needed to be at the hotel to sleep and then go about our days. They respected our "do not disturb" sign and let us check out one hour later One thing we do not like is soft water and it was very soft so of course that makes you feel like you can never get the soap entirely off your body. I knew that was a lie, because I've visited many La Quinta Hotels and other properties, including Super 8 and Days Inn. And, I've never had a problem. I'm taking this to the BBB and more since supplying heat is a basic necessity for a motel to provide. I explained the website said pets and we called and verified. She just kept shouting and would not listen. We went to reception and I pulled up the website to show her and she went ballistic on us. We asked to speak to management and she refused. She told us if we did not leave she would call the cops as we are making her feel threatened and unsafe. We told her to go ahead and please call the cops and we would wait. She did call them. Kristi locked KitKat in the room and would not allow us to get him out. This cold hearted volatile woman locked my 14 year old cat with cancer in the room!
