I did consider carrying some hollow-point insurance on this trip, but saw it was going to be a full park, with parents dropping off their college kiddos at WSU, so thought that little extra measure was unnecessary this time. Considering there are no brick & mortar bathroom/shower facilities, the $35-night fee is pretty reasonable. But there is a large pee-atorium for folks like us that don't hook up our sewer line. Wifi wasn't great, but you can check weather/email/basics, and I always appreciate that. We'd have no problem staying here, again...

(Plus, only other choice is the fairgrounds, which is another gravel parking lot and it's first come first serve, no reservations, and only 5 full hook up spots). The nice thing about Rambler is that it is very, very quiet. Our site backed up to the wheat field and had nice views of the sunset. BUT, we had to worry about what the owner was doing for an hour right behind and next to our RV. He was drinking and wobbly so we were a bit concerned. Turns out he was watching the sunset. We did not talk to him due to past reviews. Couple points: All the nice tree'd spots as you come into the "park" are taken by full timers. There is a 25 mile long wide, paved bike path just outside the park that used to be the railroad tracks and goes all the way to Pullman. It's very clean and the gravel spots seem very new. Now the water issue is real but not as bad as past reviewers have said. It does have heavy mineral deposits and has a brown tint. Our blue canister filter helped a lot and made it drinkable, it just tastes like well water, which we are used to. Our son has this same water in his apartment building a few miles into town. We had it at our house 30 years ago when we lived near there. It's just normal for the area and doesn't smell and isn't bad. Overall, we will probably stay again for the convenience factor and the quiet factor.

The 30amp surge protector was essentially lying on the ground after plugging in, and it's not a big one. Wouldn't have been happy if it was raining in that regard. They brought in a wonderful caterer that our friends often use in CDA & they used the facilities kitchen & it looked like that all went well. The food was excellent. If it was mid to end May or later I think the outdoor area between the tabernacle & the indoor reception area would be perfect for an outdoor reception. The grounds are just beautiful. I was surprised at the number of small children - 1/2 or more of the number of adults to kids who found a variety of things to do so they kept busy the whole time & they really had a great time. There was a bouncy house & then at least 2-3 teens to organize outside games & it was the best family friendly wedding Ive been to since I was young. This was the first wedding I've been to where all the kids were fun to see & happy almost the whole time. Another thing about this venue... it was just about an hour drive from CDA. I don't like to drive but the drive was very easy & it was a beautiful drive the whole way. It was also easy to find. I would definitely recommend this place. I could see it find other uses besides weddings like maybe even birthday parties for any age especially young kids or Quinceaneras etc...

What luck, there was a cancellation at Hell's Canyon RV Resort and they got us a spot! We saved over $400 by camping at this lovely resort right on the river over the overpriced hotel/motels. I was a bit nervous about the bathrooms, as I'm sure a lot of women are. We have one in our camper, but I read they had private showers and who could turn that down?! They were THE CLEANEST bathrooms we have EVER seen camping. Each bathroom was decorated with great history, and the showers themselves were so clean. Clearly kept up on multiple times a day. There was a shower head well above my very tall husband's head, so he didn't have to crouch down like in most showed, and also one lower down that could be detached and held. A wall to separate the toilet from the shower was a plus. There was also an indoor pool and hot tub for guests to enjoy. Both were extremely clean and did not overly smell of chemicals and the water was clear and not cloudy as one often will see in a hotel. The park collects your garbage every morning if you need them to, by simply placing it at your driveway. (Oh, and the pull thru spots are amazing! No having back in a giant RV!) There is a little store that sells basic things, and Kat, one of the employees who was working said weekend, was so helpful and happy to give us restaurant recommendations and directions to multiple different places. She was so friendly and didn't mind our multiple questions. The entire property was was spotless. No garbage anywhere. You can also enjoy fishing right there on the river if you're so inclined. This will be our permanent location we will stay at from now on for any future tournaments in town. We would recommend this RV resort to anyone we know...or don't know! Give it a try. You'll be happy you didn't pick the other place!

We never got the text and tried calling several times with no answer. We abandoned plans and stayed at the State Park in Lewiston.

Our site was close to trash bins to empty our trash and a one minute walk to the bathroom and camp kitchen area, if we needed to do some cooking. Our site has a nice little picnic table and fire ring. Lots of folks were using the fire pits, so there is no fire ban here. We are so close to the lake! Lots of trees here and our spot has enough shade to hide from the hot summer sun. Our site was #60 with an electrical hookup, thank goodness. It helped us not to drain our battery when using the a/c. Our site is in between a cabin site and a tent site. The site is small and fits our 24ft van perfectly. The big thing was that it is level! No adjusting. There is a store in the front and a swimming pool, which is popular when it's hot out. I did not need to do laundry, but they also offer that here. Patchy internet at our site, but we were able to use our starlink instead. Overall, we can't complain because this is glamping to us with all of our needs met. I recommend stopping here if you need a place to camp on your way to Yellowstone.

We were staying at a competitor's unfriendly poorly maintained resort while our truck was in for service. When we inquired if Granite Lake had space available later in the week when our truck was out of service, Randy offered to come and tow our trailer to their park immediately. In 15 minutes he arrived and towed us to their resort. His brother, Rob, and Manager, Jackie King, were waiting to assist in getting us set up. They delivered a newspaper to our doorstep every morning. Provided recommendations of places to eat, things to see. Loaned us a folding table to put our grill on. Nothing short of first class service. We cannot wait to come back and intend to do so on a regular basis. Highly recommend this facility!!!
