This is a long overdue review - and apology - to the guys at Quality Body. Six years ago I was rear-ended and I was very concerned that my car would be repaired and restored to the same condition as it was pre-accident. And when my car was completed, I have to say their work was fantastic and worthy of 5-stars. Now for the apology: being admittedly a little fearful of getting ripped off at the time, there were some things that didn't seem right after it was fixed. One was the Check Engine light, which was still on, that they said couldn't be reset (i won't go into details) but it would go out itself in "100 miles or so, if not bring it back in". And the other was a back rear door that had a very very slight rub against the frame when closing, which I assumed was due to the accident. They said they had indeed corrected the alignment and frame of vehicle, and that, although I might not have noticed it, that rubbing was there prior to the accident. You tend to be sensitive and blame everything on the accident ("my favorite station isn't coming in on the radio as clear now!") when you're in one, and I was pretty sure I didn't remember the door rubbing. Well, about two months after the work was completed with me still silently brooding a bit about it occasionally, my dad gets into the back seat for the first time in about 3 years and says, "I see your door still rubs a bit". So, the QBS tech was right... on both counts because the light went out as predicted as well. [aside: Does that remind you of your dad? The guy has an eagle eye for the way all things are working and logs it into part of his brain that can be accessed 15 years later on command, but forgets the important items on the shopping list he was supposed to buy at the grocery store.] Summary: Honest guys that do quality work. I am sorry I doubted you and that I was probably a pain to deal with. My car is still running great after 60,000 miles post accident. read more

Terrible service. Horrible communication. Brought my car in for bumper repairs with the estimate stating it should take 4 days. It took this shop 3 WEEKS. Then when they finally finished my car I went to pick it up and the AC wasn't working (THIS IS A 2014 VEHICLE WITH NO PRIOR AC PROBLEMS) I brought my vehicle back the same day questioning why my AC was messed up and Santiago acted dumb founded and said they would call the insurance to see if they would pay for the additional repairs. If you're looking for honest and expert body repair look no further than Quality Body Shop. I've been here twice now. Larry and Rickie are great and run a friendly, honest shop. On my latest visit my son had a fender bender which had bent the door slightly so that wind was getting in when driving. They looked at the door and immediately assessed the problem - a hinge had been tweaked slightly. They said they could bend the door back for an extremely reasonable cost but even better they made some quick adjustments to the door on the spot which fixed the problem immediately. When I asked where to pay they told me "no charge" because it had only taken a few minutes. It's that kind of incredible work ethic and honesty that keeps their ratings so high. You can trust these guys. My previous experience with them was the same - a coworker had accidentally gotten too close to my car when backing out and ripped the bumper off my car. He asked if we could fix it outside of his insurance and I found Quality Body Shop. They again, gave me an extremely reasonable price and found a great, used bumper that was a perfect match to my car within 1 week and installed it while I waited. Quality Auto Body made a customer for life out of me today. Over the weekend, some idiot scratched my car while pulling out of a parking spot and then decided to bounce without leaving their details. I was worried about the cost of repair but, after a friend recommended with high praises, I stopped by QAB looking to get a quote. I was greeted by Buster, the owner, who walked out with me to take a look. Initially he started quoting for a paint job, but when I mentioned I was looking for something less involved - more along the lines of a buff and a polish - he made a proposal. He offered to have one of his guys come clean up the scratches free of charge and, afterwards, he would assess the damage and give me a quote. I hesitated, thinking this seemed too good to be true and there would be a catch, but accepted nevertheless. A few minutes later he came back with David and I watched as the scuffs and scratches disappeared right in front of me. I wish I could post pictures because my bumper looks brand new, Buster did not even need to give me a quote. I shook their hands but was so stunned I nearly drove away without a proper thank you. I jumped out of my car and caught David as he appeared to be leaving (I'd gotten there maybe 15 minutes before they closed) and handed him some cash, which is honestly the least I could do. It may have been a quick and simple gesture for them, but it was something they did not need to do. Nevertheless, they went out of their way - right as they were closing - and saved me both time & money and, in the process, proved to me that they do good, honest work. I'm not sure how these people saved everyone over 500 bucks because I was quoted around 580, basically 600 for a bumper scratch. 3 days to get it back and they only accept cash. So. . I guess they think we're all ballers and have that much cash on hand. Just had a feel that he was ripping me off so I went to bumper rx instead. So much to worry about. Rick had me at ease from the moment I walked in. From helping me through the insurance process to walking me through the repair, Rick was professional through the entire process. I was always in the know with what was happening. Now, this isn't my first rodeo. I've had body work done to previous vehicles at different body shops so I know a good one from a bad one. Upon picking up my Juke I was excited to see the repair had gone perfectly. The new bumper and trim all fit perfect. I was nervous about the paint match and the quality of the paint because of previous body shop nightmares however the car looked as if I just drove it off the showroom floor. Not only did he fix the damage he also arranged for a few minor dents to be removed while in his possession and even touched up some spots in various places on the vehicle. I read the reviews of Quality Body Shop on yelp and decided to take my FJ there. Thank goodness that I did! Larry took great care of me, he told me exactly what was going to be done with my vehicle and why. I wanted to put an aftermarket front bumper on my vehicle instead of the stock bumper and they said no problem. I went to pick up my FJ today and it honestly looks better than it did the day I bought it. The bumper looks awesome, they even customized it and touched up the paint around the bumper to match - it's incredible! I literally have the nicest looking FJ in Austin thanks to Quality Body Shop! Another reviewer already mentioned it, but they have DOZENS of handwritten thank you letters all over their walls. That's how awesome these guys are. Just took my 2010 4Runner there with scratches on the hood. I think I ran into a car wash with bad brushes. Anyway, Rickie gave me two options: use compound and buff it out or paint the hood. I asked if they could compound a small section to see if it worked. If so, continue, if not, stop and repaint. Not only did he agree with this plan, he offered to compound it right then, while I waited. 20 minutes later I get the car back, scratches gone. I asked him "what's the charge" and he tells me a very small amount for materials and "here's my card, send me a check." Bottom line: My car was fixed while I waited, saved two trips there and back, minimal charge, trusted me to send them a check, great conversation while I waited. I appreciated their "old school" customer service and I will definitely use them for future auto body issues. read more

When I brought my car in for an estimate, Tom (who runs the body shop) himself assessed the damages and provided the estimate. He is extremely sharp and it was obvious that he was an absolute expert. Within 5 minutes, he gave me an astoundingly accurate estimate of the cost of the repair. To put this in perspective, I took the same car to another reputable body shop in town and they refused to give me estimate for the entire job because they claimed that they needed to remove the bumper to further inspect underneath in order to do so. After I met Tom, I decided that I wanted these guys (and nobody else) to work on my car. He promised me that it would be done within 4 days and that he would try to get it done in 3 days (since I was paying out of pocket and had to incur rental car expenses on top of that). Quality Body Shop hit their more aggressive deadline and completed the repairs in 3 days - a super job by the team. When I got my car back, that part of the car looked exactly like it did on the day that I took ownership of it (I bought the car new). They finished the job with veterans style - outstanding workmanship and attention to detail. What it made it even more impressive was the fact that I opted for aftermarket parts and it can be very challenging to use those parts and get everything to fit together perfectly - but they did it. Throughout the whole process, Tom was always accessible to answer questions about the repair. Quality Body Shop provided class A customer service that significantly exceeded my expectations. We recently had our 2014 Silverado and our 2012 Equinox repaired at Quality Body Shop on North Lamar. Both vehicles had literally thousands of hail dents from the April 2015 storm. Buster and the team did a perfect job on both. In fact, both vehicles look brand new! They replaced (with OEM parts) hoods, a roof, trim, and used paintless dent repair where possible. They found much more damage than the adjuster did, and took care of everything including getting supplements.
