I didn't even use this place and yet it was a phenomenal experience. I was in a car crash over the weekend and came in for an estimate. Stan was immediately welcoming and patient as I was obviously stressed and asked a million questions. The most amazing thing is that he helped me figure out next steps with my insurance, etc. that I had 0 clue about!! I had NO idea to do any of those things and he walked me through everything that needed to get done. I made those phone calls outside the shop and he even asked for an update to make sure I was okay. He was so kind and could have absolutely given me a crazy high estimate like other places I visited, but instead just wanted to help me. He told me that we are overcomers and overcome this I shall :') He went out of his way to help a stranger, and in his words, do the right thing, rather than make a profit and that speaks strongly to his character. After a fender bender the rear bumper was detached. I got half of it reconnected but couldn't manage the other half. I brought it in for a repair estimate, but the tech instead spent a few minutes (in the blazing sun) and was able to get it all reconnected. I tried to pay, he told me not to worry about it. He did say that the clips are now weak and if it keeps detaching and I need a replacement, I'd be looking at about $1800. I thought that was a little high, but looking it up, it seems like there's extra labor for things like recalibrating the parking/collision sensors. read more

What i mean is, the only reason I came about this place was because of a MVA accident which of course nobody wants. Run, do not walk, to this shop. My less than a year old vehicle got hit and needed repair. After receiving an initial appraisal from the guy who hit me's sketchy insurance company, I could not get them to further communicate with me to save my life. Their first and second offers were far lower than ABW's estimate, and I was a wreck about proceeding with a repair without them agreeing to the correct figure in advance. I felt very hopeless and was sure I was going to get screwed over somehow. Not only did ABW flawlessly fix my car, they handled everything with the other insurance company behind the scenes and I walked out the door without lifting a finger. I was shocked and deeply grateful. They made what I was turning into a very stressful situation easy. As I was leaving I told them I hope I never see them again, but truly I am so grateful I know what to do now if I ever have a problem in the future. I believe that I give very honest reviews, so I in turn hope that other people do the same; that being said, I rely heavily on reviews. I was involved in a fender bender & needed to find a place that was well equipped with replacing my bumper. This place was rated so high that I decided to give them a call. As soon as I mentioned that I was in a minor accident, Taylor wanted to make sure that I was okay! I gave him a rundown of what happened & he said to drop by so they could access the damage. There isn't really parking so be mindful of that, across the street worked for me. Taylor really took control from there, he let me know he would connect with my insurance company & I wouldn't have to worry about anything. My car unfortunately took longer than expected due to a part being delayed but they were so kind ALL the times I did call to check in. There are not a lot of businesses that truly understand the military/government fleet vehicle purchasing. Austin Body Works does. My own fleet management office was horrible, so I called up Austin body works they made the appointment and did the fleet vehicle authorization for repairs within an hour. It took the military months and they still didn't get it done. Lawd! Anyway. Perfectly handled the repair. No issues. Friendly and hilarious staff. You could talk to them for hours. My rear fender was dented and although I waited over a month for an appt. it was worth it ! Stan and Ryan were wonderful to work with , friendly, open, reliable and quite funny to work with he said he'd make all my bad mementoes go away! They dealt with my insurance company and all I had to do was pay the deductible. After I submitted the claims , I slightly dented the front. It was going to cost another $800 for a small dent , but Ryan was able to call me in when his guys came in to punch out the dent and smooth it over. In the end that cost me $200 out of pocket, w/o another insurance claim ( it wasn't worth putting in another claim) I was thrilled to see the car looking brand new again and yes he did make all my bad memories go away. I'm here to echo what previous people have said. I never actually had work done on my car here but was so impressed (and grateful) for the phone call that I made to them! My car was in need of some serious TLC after a long distance move across state lines. The windshield had a huge crack down the front, and the headliner fabric (the upholstery on the roof of the car) was literally being held up by safety pins. I made a call to Austin Body Works, and the man whom I spoke to on the phone was polite, funny, and professional. Although they weren't able to help me with my car, he gave me the names and contact info for a glass guy and a headliner guy. Both of them were very responsive, affordable, and had my car back to me within a day. Now, less than a week after moving to a new city, my car is looking the best it has in a long time! Stan is the Man! These guys are amazing - friendly, fast and flawless quality! I walked in after scratching my car. The scratch wasn't huge and luckily there was no body damage, but I wanted to get it taken care of by professionals rather than trying to fix it myself (I can barely paint my nails). I used to work about a block away from this shop, so I figured I would give them a try and I'm so glad I did! In only a few minutes, my car was restored to its pristine, like new status. The scratch was completely undetectable - and I looked - AND I'm a Virgo so I would have noticed. I would absolutely recommend Stan and Austin Body Works. Nicest guy I have ever met. I went in with a bumper that was falling out and looking really ugly after an unfortunate accident. This is the only body shop to make me (almost) wish I needed bodywork again. We've actually brought our car in twice after two scuff-ups. In 2019 we were rear-ended in our MINI while turning into Bufalina's parking lot. The rear bumper was punctured and needed to be replaced. Austin Body Works managed to get us an OEM bumper when our insurance wanted a reconditioned one fitted. The work was done perfectly and the owners are super nice and very funny. In 2020 our MINI was rear-ended (again) while parked in front of our house. Insurance wanted it fixed, Austin Body Works got them to pay for a new bumper again. Both times the guys over there have offered to take a look at previous repairs (see my other reviews) and have just been very kind. While my wife has been harassed by other body shop owners, we've both been welcomed with respect and genuine hospitality. I honestly wouldn't take my car to anyone else. read more

I called Austin Body Works to schedule a small bit of work on my car. The person who I spoke to explained that their calendar was booked up in the near-term for this type of work but rather than hanging up right after he spent another few minutes inquiring about other ways he could help (other places to recommend or giving me tips on how I could do a self-installation). I've called a few body shops today and nobody came nearly as close to the level of service and helpfulness as Austin Body Works. If they manage to show this great of customer service on the phone for someone who hasn't even booked an appointment with them, I can only imagine how excellent they must be with the service itself. I just bought a pretty pearl white Mercedes and had someone bump it in the parking garage, leaving a couple scrapes. I called up ABW and they told me to drive over to get it looked at. 15 minutes later, Ryan was looking at my car, went inside, grabbed some wipes and light compound and buffed the scrapes away at no charge - he wouldn't even let me tip him. A big shout out to the excellent service I received from Austin Body Works - Stan and Ryan are super nice and really funny (do they have a side gig as stand up comedians?); quality workmanship in fixing scratches on my Subaru Forester after a run in with a concrete pillar in a parking garage. They also went the extra mile in buffing out some other scratches on the opposite door and washed my car inside and out. They also re-attached the trim around my sunroof that was interfering with the smooth opening and closing of the sunroof and shade. These guys are awesome and I am a loyal customer from now on. The funny thing is that I did not get work done by these guys yet I feel compelled to leave a review. I called them at 8am asking if they could fix a broken car door window. The day before some jerk had punched a hole in my car door window, gained access to my car and stole my purse. Not a great day. Anyway these guys, in addition to just being super compassionate about it, told me that I could contact their "glass guy" directly and he could come right to my house! So I called King Glass and sure enough the guy told me he could get my window by 1:30 and be at my house by 3 to get started, even though I could not make it there until 4:30. I arrived at my house at 4:30 and he had already take the door apart and cleaned out all of the broken glass and even vacuumed the inside of my car. He set to work on putting in the new window and in 30 min he was done. Here is the best part! It was $180. No kidding. The Honda dealership had said it would be $660 and I would have to drive my car over there, leave it overnight and come back the next day. You might wonder if you get what you pay for. But in this case the replacement is perfect and the guys at Austin Body Works assured me that if there were any problems this glass guy could be relied upon to make it right. Thanks to these fellas what started off as a very bad 24 hrs ended up A-OK! And I do appreciate that they did not try to skim some money by having me bring my car to their shop just so they could sub it out and charge me more to keep the difference. I mean, that's business, but it shows a lot of integrity that they just hooked me up with the right person and forfeited the potential to make a buck off the situation.
