Good coffee! Came here while heading to Eggbred for food. I parked along ocean blvd, street parking. Parking might be difficult to find. I ordered the iced mocha ($6.25) and coffee eclair ($5.45). I thought it was pretty good, nice local coffee shop. They have lots of pastries but they're a bit pricey. Interior has nice modern wooden look. The couch was hard and doesn't have much cushion. I would like to see a trash can by the door along Ocean Blvd. I had to walk to the other side of the coffee shop to throw my straw wrapper. Would definitely come back.

One of my fave LBC coffee shops. Great location, friendly service literally always every time. they recently made me the perfect chai latte I've never had a better one and I've been drinking them for 20 years, it was the perfect amount of spice & sweet.

Food is amazing , service is great as well, and the whole vibe is also A1. Not to mention Julia and her amazing customer service..

I will start this review by making the obvious comparison: this place feels like a fancy Italian Starbucks. When I say fancy, think more comfortable living room, of a middle-class person, please do not think fancy like Pavarotti's living room which I assume has a baby grand and couches made with Italian leather, the same kind use for a Lambo. This place just gives a crumb of vibes of the Amalfi coast gone business casual, which is enough because other chain coffee houses do not help one travel to the boot shape country of Europe. I entered to grab a coffee at a nearby business, where I was getting a breakfast sandwich, the joint did not have coffee that was special, just black to be enhanced with Splenda and half-half, and I get that enough on normal weekdays. I was helped by Isabella, a sweet person, who was kind enough to invite me back again, after she learned that it was my first time. This gesture seems small but in reality it is hospitality in a phrase, which reminds me of a Japanese proverb: A kind word can warm three winter months. I got a regular latte, and Isabella listed the various syrups available. She went down the line deep, I think I remember that are common like vanilla and caramel and others that seemed more original to a coffee chain, like pistachio, and others felt tropical like mango. The coffee distinguished itself enough to be remembered as delicious but not well enough for me to know that I had gulped pistachio instead of slurped it, as when I have pistachio ice cream, or munched as I have when I have pistachio nuts, straight out of the shell. But still it was grand coffee, again better than one can get at other similar coffee houses, but, truth be told, I have had coffee from other chains that was steadfast in its roasted glory, which I will not name out of respect for this exxperience, but, the extra x in the word experience is a hint. :-) What was wonderful about this house, again, was the elevated comfort that this place offered. The wood wave wall, which I and other Yelpers have captured, felt more artistic than a design choice. I do not want to over hype this place, but I feel like I have seen something similar- to these wood waves- at an LA museum, perhaps the Broad, or the Moca. And atop these waves was the phrase- empowering the creator. I never wanted to write a screenplay or the next summer beach book but the message made me feel like this place can help me do just that--- someone give me a brush and a color palette I think I want to paint sunflowers on a vase! The couches seemed plump and they made me want to be a cat--- a feline with the famed ability to stretch and rest, without worry or woe in its mice-filled head. The selections of baked goods, seemed sophisticated. For example, they offered French Macarons, Dulce de Leche Cheesecake, Tiramsu, Chocolate Ganache Cake and other items that all seemed special, and like a treat that elevates a typical day to one that I can claim to be special. I can imagine, that when I was younger, less informed, more broke, more open to wonder, I would have plastered my face into the display and spend minutes trying two decide the two pastries that will allow myself to feel Parisian and decadent. This place had a lot of small touches that were stylistic choices to make this place a stroll for the eyes, which is great because it gives one something to do as they wait for their food. I completely forgotten that Reese Whitherspoon had a book club, but this place spotlighted one of her recent pics--- I accidentally deleted the book, but the place reminded me that not only Oprah or Rory had books to recommend to the caffeinated masses. I also liked the gray-green pumpkin. Another touch to remind us all that this place was fresh in its take on what a coffee house should be, and that take was fancy can be accessible to the average creator! of art, in its many forms.

A palatial coffee haven. Ceilings within a sniff of the clouds themselves. Palatable decor aesthetic devoid of painful puns, godawful shiplap, or calculated kitsch. There are so many places to sit here. I almost felt rude only having the one set of glutes to park. Seating problems haunt coffee shops, but not Qargo. They understand chairs here. The staff is absolutely on their coffee game. Julia made a point to ask me what type of milk I wanted in my mocha for health reasons, etc. She conducted herself like a legitimate bean roasting queen. I do not know what that last sentence means, but she makes a point to do her job well. I think that is why so many busy professionals drop by this venue to have coffee & read email. Oh yes, the mocha tasted like milk & coffee & chocolate mixed together.

Never actually got the $7.40 drink i ordered. Firstly, no vegan brekky options? NONE? no oatmeal? no fruit bowl? its 2025 and it's the easiest thing in the world to provide at last one vegan-friendly option when you have 12 regular options, not counting the pastries. they also upcharged me for oatmilk without disclosing the upcharge verbally or on their menu. I only realized it because I asked for a receipt after noticing the total was higher than expected. also, let it be known that i ordered at 9:48, it's currently 10:03 and i don't have my drink yet. I unfortunately need to head out to see my partner cross the marathon finish line, it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to make ya girl a smoothie. literally could not have been a worse experience :(

Humongous "small" latte and a flat white

If you want a latte that actually tasted like coffee, order a flat white, not a "small" latte which is 16 oz!!!

I walked here one weekday afternoon after visiting a friend who lives a couple blocks away. If you don't live or work nearby or aren't enjoying the beach across the street...good luck finding parking; it looks to be near impossible. The interior is modern and visually stimulating. There's a good amount of seating inside and a small patio outside. I purchased an iced vanilla latte and a warmed chocolate croissant. They offer several boba teas, one of which my friend wanted, but was told they were out of boba! So she ended up getting a plain iced tea which she didn't care for. We sat out on the patio to chat over our drinks. The vanilla latte was good; above average but nothing spectacular. The croissant was small but great; fresh with plenty of chocolate inside. Better than Starbucks. But honestly most places are.

It's been so long since I had delicious coffee!!! Qargo Coffee is absolutely the best coffee shop in Long Beach! The staff is friendly and the baristas are knowledgeable. Ambiance is chic and cool, definitely will be our new spot in town!

Super sweet addition to the area. I enjoyed a matcha that was hand whiskey and add to the milk. Not pre-made powder. The service was great and welcoming. I wasn't rushed to order and they helped me customize my choice, and they have amazing pastries.

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. Perfect service, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious food will definitely have me returning very soon! Parking is free for 2 hours at the nearby garage on 3rd and is a very short walk. TLDR; It's expensive, and not worth the routine visit, but worth the one-time stop in to experience the festivities. The Miracle pop-up at The Ordinarie is somehow even more decorated and extravagant than you'd expect from a seasonal pop-up. The line looks long outside, as there are no reservations, but it moves quickly since they hold everybody to a pretty strict 2-hour time limit. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience.  I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

The vibe has shifted toward a more minimalist coffee cafe aesthetic, and the menu has seen a significant overhaul. The Food & Value: I was disappointed to see the old favorites go. The Chicken & Waffles, previously a staple with three wings, has switched to dark meat only (thighs) with zero substitutions. As someone who isn't a fan of dark meat, that was a major letdown. I opted for the Lemon Pancakes ($21), and while the presentation was stunning, the taste was underwhelming and the portion size was surprisingly small--my son's kids' meal actually had more food than mine. The Silver Lining: The service is still the highlight here. Our server, Jorge, was absolutely fantastic--attentive, kind, and professional. The entire staff was very nice, but unfortunately, the price point doesn't quite match the current portion sizes or flavor profile. It's sad to say, but this will likely be our last visit but best wishes to them

Bristy, our server, thoroughly explained the details of certain dishes such as the Mac & Cheetos. She also checked in on our table throughout the meal and came around often to refill our water. As for the food itself, it was very delicious. My favorite dish was the artichokes. They had a somewhat smoky flavor and the outermost leaves were crunchy and a nice contrast to the soft inside of the artichokes. They were also served in a tangy sauce that complimented the vegetable well. My friend's favorite item was the macaroni and cheese. It was chewy and creamy, and the pasta, which Bristy informed us was made in-house, was what my friend thought elevated the dish because it was a nice texture. We additionally ordered the gumbo which was also tasty but not as yummy as the other two dishes that we ordered. It is not a spicy dish if one is concerned about spice level. As for the ambiance of the restaurant, we enjoyed how the atmosphere felt casual and almost like you were sitting in somebody's house (the wallpaper and interior design is pretty) while still maintaining an elegant aesthetic design. There is inside seating what looks like a converted house? There is outside seating at tables or at the bar. The menu was interesting which had a theme of shrimp; there was eggs Benedict with shrimp, but not an item to order a regular one without it? Sure maybe could have ordered and asked without shrimp but pay the same price? Pass. Ok when I called they mentioned they serve brunch until 3? 3:30 I can't remember. The server mentioned they serve the brunch all day? Either way when I got to ordering this month on the menu it highlighted the shrimp po boy. I tried to order and nope, out. How can you be out of the item highlighted as the special in the middle of the day? When the place is not packed? I tried to order the lobster roll and again, out. I was tempted to order their short rib poutine since in theory it sounded good, but at this point I tried something simple I would hope they have in the kitchen chicken and waffles. The plate came and it looks good. If you look at the picture at the bottom of the chicken you can see a dark something. As I lift my chicken I found a huge burnt piece of breading pictured next. On top of the chicken is green onion I think? Who eats that with chicken and waffles? If I am wrong, a garnish is totally unnecessary for this dish. The chicken was moist. There are spices in the flour breading I can see but hard to taste what it is. The waffle is a hard pass for me. The waffle was crispy which is good, but also thin and dry and I couldn't taste any sweetness until I put maple syrup on it. The syrup came out warm which was nice. It's clear watching the people at the bar this is a local hangout. The chicken and waffles were $19 which if I was in the bay I think it's about right, but I think a little high considering the level of food I got. Supposedly this place is packed specifically on Sundays. The server doesn't know why? I'm not interested to even try to come back for a second chance and just be told sold out of the menu.
