I will preface this review to be transparent that while I did not ultimately choose to do my bathroom remodel with QA Builders, I do want to spotlight the positive impression that Sal gave when he came over to provide an estimate and the follow up that occurred afterwards. Sal was easy to get a hold of over the phone when I called to inquire about arranging for a free consultation. We set up a day/time to meet at the property and he was right on time. Not late or flaky at all! He took an hour to go through the bathroom as I explained all the changes that I wanted to make, to answer any questions that I had regarding the process, to offer suggestions about executing the remodel, ask his own questions, and finally gave me a conservative figure in terms of cost and timeframe. He came prepared with copies of the GC license, worker's comp, bond/insurance along with the estimate right on the spot. The rough estimate for a full demo and rebuild of the 8' x 5' bathroom was within the $16-18k range. He would cover labor and building materials and I'd cover all the finish materials. He also offered his contractor prices for finishes (i.e. tiles from Bedrosian Tile & Stone). He was understanding when I mentioned that I would do my due diligence (always get at least 3 estimates!!) and encouraged me to reach out to him if/when I decided to use his services. He made sure to do periodic weekly follow ups afterwards. When I gave him the news that I decided to go with another GC, he was very gracious and positive. Some folks might have ghosted or reacted poorly but Sal was very nice about it. My experience with Sal has been so good that it prompted me to write this review solely based on this experience, and while I feel badly I couldn't give him my business, I can share my experience with him so others can give QA Builders consideration for their home building/renovating needs. read more

QA Builders were very communicative and open when discussing a renovation of a master and guest bathroom. They discussed my options and alternates to help save costs and keep within a tight schedule. Sal was very easy to talk to and open to listening to make sure the vision and design is as I wanted it. Overall very good experience. Will reach out to them again when ready to renovate the rest of the house. read more

From our first meeting with Sal from QA Builders we felt he was dependable and knowledgeable. Sal has a great team who put in a lot of work to get our house done quickly, multiple weeks ahead of schedule. They just finished renovating both of our bathrooms, replacing flooring, and also facilitated adding central AC and upgrading our electrical panel. As new home owners, communication and quality work were important to us and Sal delivered on both. All issues were quickly and effectively managed and the final product is beautiful. The pictures speak for themselves. We would recommend Sal and QA Builders and hope to have them renovate our kitchen in the future. read more

We were looking for contractors to remodel our bathroom. I reached out to QA Builders on yelp. Sal came to meet us and gave nice ideas on how we could our bathroom. He told us how we could add more shower space by removing an old storage which really impressed us . He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the process, and gave a rough estimate of what the total cost would come to (including fixtures, tiles, etc). We spoke to couple of contractors and Sal gave us the best quote. Once we decided to go with QA Builders, Sal helped us pick the tile, fixtures etc. We got discounts because of his ties with the retailers. His team would show up every day and leave the area clean at the end of the day. Sal stopped by everyday to make sure things are proceeding as per plan. When the bathroom was demolished, we found that there was some HVAC line running behind the storage. Sal immediately reached out to his HVAC guy and got us a quote. Ultimately, for the HVAC we wanted to go with another vendor, but Sal was patient enough to wait for the HVAC stuff to be sorted out. He didn't push us to go with his guy. The bathroom turned out really nice. The finish looks great. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with what Sal and his team have done. I am happy that I found a contractor for all my future remodeling needs. read more

We hired Sal and QA Builders for a large remodel project for 3.5 bathrooms, kitchen, floors and living room area/fireplace. One of the most important things for me was staying on time (since we were living in the house throughout the remodel), so the fact the project was completed within the quoted six months was fantastic. I'm very happy with the quality of the work, and after several competitive bids, QA Builders, had the best price as well. Sal was always reachable to discuss the project and any needs we had. He also helped with some design choices, which was great since we did not have an interior designer on the project. read more

QA Builders just finished remodeling our kitchen and it came up so gorgeous! We decided ti move forward with Sal and his team after our neighbor referred us to them. It took them 6 weeks as Sal said from day one and we are so happy with the finish result! Jesse our foreman took care of everything and made sure to address each of our concerns during the remodel. After all this was our first time remodeling our new home. If we had to go back in time I would not think twice and hire this guys again! I highly recommend using QA Builders for any kind of indoor remodeling. read more

My mom and I met Sal for an on-site consultation for a fire-damaged home. We spent an incredible amount of time talking about the changes we wanted done, where we were currently at in the construction process, and much more. Sal asked if we had time so he could go in more depth (the on-site consultation was over 1 hr) and answered ALL our questions. He wanted to make sure he answered them, and took his time to break down the estimated costs for the materials. He was incredibly friendly and personable, and offered a little wiggle room with the work quote (insurance payout which was significantly less than QA Builder's estimate). Because of the time I had already wasted going back and forth with the architecture company I hired for plans/permits, I was very concerned about meeting the timeline I was aiming for. Sal recognized that and addressed my concerns, and the bonus was that he was confident they could get us back in the house by summer. With all this considered, he bumped out our previous first choice general contractor on our list, who had given us a similar work estimate. Unfortunately, we did not hire QA Builders for other reasons that have nothing to do with their company. As someone that really values communication and knowing what's going on with their house renovation, I felt confident that working with Sal/QA Builders would've been a positive and (mostly?) stress-free experience, and based on our consultation, I definitely recommend them for your remodeling projects. read more

We had a great kitchen remodel experience with QA builders. Our existing kitchen was functional so this remodel was mostly cosmetic, including 1) replacing counter top & backsplash 2) repainting kitchen cabinets, and 3) installing new sink, faucet, hardwares (cabinet handles, switches, power outlets, etc). They started the job on 10/21/21, and completed the work on 11/5/21, in just about 3 weeks. We were specifically happy about working with QA builders because 1) Communication: Sal, the owner of QA Builders, was always quick to respond to my text. This was my first time remodeling a house so I had a lot of questions during the process, and Sal always responded promptly, no later than 24 hours. Sal also visited our house every day to check on the status and manage his crew. His communication was always clear, and if we had any follow up questions later, he was happy to answer at any time. This was actually one of the reasons why we decided to work with him, because we noticed that he was transparent about the remodel process & his business during the initial consultation. Oh and of course he is licensed and his business is insured. 2) Experience: QA Builders was Sal's father's business but now Sal is taking over. So I think Sal has a long experience of learning or working as a general contractor. For our remodel, we picked our own cabinet color, counter top material, tiles, and etc. and we were unsure if they will look good at the end of the project. (Who knew there are hundreds colors of "grey" and dozen different types of "subway tiles"...) Sal assured that our choice was good, and he also helped us out selecting materials based on his experience. He also recommended little things here and there which turned out great. 3) Timeliness: Sal & his crew always showed up early in the morning and worked tirelessly every day. I can tell because I worked from home while they were working in the kitchen. The work was also completed within the promised timeline of 2-4 weeks. Can't be any happier. Having no experience in remodeling, I had doubts and questions during the process just because I do not have the knowledge and expertise. However, Sal was always happy to explain and make sure we were on the same page during the project. The end result is beautiful, and we are enjoying our new kitchen every day. I highly recommend QA Builders & Sal as they will get the job done on time, professionally, with any questions answered. read more

QA Builders designed and remodeled our bathroom. We actually found them online and not through Yelp but after we checked their reviews and website we decided to call and ask for someone to come help us (the provide free estimate) When David came over we could feel that he had a lot of experience and he provided us with a price a price that we felt ok with ($16,500) for 8x6 hall bathroom with a shower and they did such a wonderful job that the minimum we could do was to post a review. Their service is highly recommended to anyone who's looks for a home remodel! read more

We recently had a master bathroom, closet, and laundry room remodel. Sal was always available for any questions or concerns. Sal and his crew had recommendations whenever we were uncertain on how the final product should look like. The work that was done past inspection the first time and finished ahead of schedule once the permits passed. If we need any future remodeling done, we would not hesitate to use QA builders again. read more

We finished a pretty large renovation project with QA builders recently. It involved moving and modifying two bathrooms and removing one load bearing wall. The team also helped us get city permits and manage all the inspections. Sal and team were pretty responsive and willing to listen and accommodate our asks during the entire process. Furthermore the crew was polite and fairly clean even throughout the most messy initial stages. I would recommend Sal and team for your home renovation projects. read more

Unfortunately didn't get an opportunity to give a 5 star but leaving a 3 as Sal communicated after his visit home that he got a bigger project or something along these lines so couldn't take up mine but when he was at my residence was enthusiastic to take up the work and gave me a quote that worked, which I consented to. I would have appreciated transparency during our initial call and could have planned some other firm if I had known. read more

Our house is a great house to grow old in, except for one thing: tub showers. As we get older and have discovered we are not so steady on our feet, we realized we really needed help rennovating a bathroom to be ADA accessible and senior friendly. QA Builders have been amazingly accommodating, helpful, and rich in integrity and reliability. Not to mention, I have no sense of style at all and was terrified I would make unfortunate choices in tile and so on. Thank heaven for Sal and his aesthetic gift. He was here frequently to make sure everything went as planned and on schedule. We have an amazing new bathroom and he made it easy, every step of the way. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend QA builders for your next rennovation. You won't be disappointed. read more

In August I had issues with my shower which required opening the wall, so it made sense to renovate the shower. I had three other companies come and look, and give me estimates. The three estimates were substantially higher then QA Builders and would only do the whole bathroom and unwilling to do it in two stages. My budget in August did not permit me to do the whole bathroom. Sal the owner did not hesitate in agreeing to do it in two stages. He was also was very helpful in guiding me with what and where to look at, for the design and hardware needed. In the second stage they were even thoughtful enough to not disconnect the toilet till they were ready to install the new one. Needless to say QA Builders, Sal the owner and his crew did a fantastic job and were a pleasure to have renovate my bathroom. My brother even says it looks like it's from a fancy hotel. read more

I contracted QA Builders to fix a leaky roof in our. guest bathroom as well as tear up the linoleum and replace with tile. They fixed the roof in a day. Removed linoleum and put in the new tile in four days. Poli, the foreman, kept me informed of the entire process and managed the job to completion. They took pains to protect our house while the work was in progress. They were polite, courteous and very professional. The result was a job well done and a beautiful tile floor. I would recommend them for any of my future projects. Job well done. read more

I met Sal Taraboulsi during a quoting project for our Home Remodel in 2022. I immediately felt his sincerity and professionalism as we discussed the changes we wanted to make on our very old home to make it more modern and user friendly. I choose QA Builders based on a competitive quote and our easy communication. I truly felt he understood my vision for my home. His team and subcontractors always came to the house on time, friendly and prepared. I was walked through the purchasing process by Sal with several different vendors. His guidance and experience allowed me to buy the materials that would make our remodel vision a reality while staying cost conscious. A few of our purchases done together included new windows and 2-bathroom updates. I would definitely recommend QA Builders if your looking for a contractor to partner with you through the whole remodel process with dedication and quality results from start to finish. read more

Sal came over with his crew and they did a very professional job remodeling our shower and accommodating our change request several times. They also helped us choosing materials, and Sal also offered his contractor discount for the materials. The cost of the overall project including labor and materials was also reasonable. He also helped with minor stuff around the house. Sal and his entire crew were friendly. We are quite happy with the end results. If we need something in the future we will contact him again. read more

Sal and his team did a fantastic job on our kitchen! Our kitchen need a full upgrade - new cabinets, floors, countertops, applicances, lighting, etc. QA Builders were always professional and kept the job moving along so that it could be finished in a timely manner. Sal was very responsive and a great communicator when we had questions. Also, the team always showed up on time and left our place clean before they left each day, which we really appreciated. We are thrilled with how beautiful it came out, and definitely would use them again. read more

I had a great experience with Sal. Super easy to get a hold of, he quickly returned my call and set up an appointment. He accommodated my schedule when I had a last minute change as well. I highly recommend him. read more

QA Builders remodeled our kitchen, which had reached the point of non-functionality. Sal got us together with a cabinet designer who was fabulous. He answered every question we had, and accompanied us to warehouses for choosing finishing materials. The crew working at our site was terrific. Frederico is an accomplished artisan, who is much more interested in getting the job done right, than in getting it done fast. Even so, they were done before Sal's estimated time, which is some sort of miracle in contractor work. We particularly appreciated how well the crew cleaned up each day, especially with a counter example across the street. QA Builders was not our cheapest bid, and I'm very glad that we chose them. read more

About 6 months ago when my husband and I started to interview different companies for our kitchen and 2 bathroom remodel we looked on yelp for different general remodeling companies. When our neighbour came by he recommended QA builders and specifically Sal. We automatically called and requested to meet with Sal after we heard nothing but good things about him and this company. When Sal came over we felt right at the beginning that he is someone we could trust and after even talking to some of his references we knew that we would choose him for the project. Sal helped us to gather all of our finished materials, they provided labor and rough materials only, he negotiated prices with us, offered us his exclusive discounts! Once we completed our finishes selection QA Builders provided us with a dedicated team. A team who showed up every morning (week days obviously:) at 8-8:30am and never took a day off! Sal originally said that our project will be completed in 9-10 weeks and they were gone in less than 8! who would imagine. They passed all of their inspections on the first time without creating any delays. Our team was managed by Sal and his foreman Federico who made sure to clean the areas they worked at everyday. Shared with us the work schedule every morning and always gave us the feeling that they take care of it all and they definitely do! Thanks for our neighbor's recommendation we made the right call and can't thank you guys enough for what you did to our new home. We would recommend hiring these guys for any kind of interior work! Thank you Sal and QA Builders! read more

I cannot recommend enough! Our project included a kitchen remodel, new flooring, and recessed lighting throughout the home. The final result exceeded our expectations and has made our newly purchased home more functional, as well as more comfortable. The project was completed in lightning speed (~40% faster than original quote, which was reasonable to begin with), but certainly without compromising on quality. Everything turned out beautiful! read more

We did a fairly major remodel back in 2007. At that time, our budget didn't stretch to everything we wanted/needed so we left the bathroom thinking we'll get round to it in a couple of years time. Fast forward to 2021 and over a year of lockdown made us see that the bathroom really, really needed an upgrade! I realized we were putting it off year after year because remodeling is stressful! But I was not looking forward to it. So I'm so glad we found Sal and QA Builders. They did a wonderful job! Sal did a great job talking through what I wanted, he worked with the budget I had in mind and even though a bathroom remodel is a small job for his company, he was always available to answer questions and gave helpful advice on details such as fixtures and lighting choices. The team - Federico and Jesse - were efficient, professional and friendly. The whole project was completed on time, on budget and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Great job!! read more

Sal won our business because he was clear and organized from the initial meeting, and gave a fair price , timescale, and also inspired confidence. Covid set our start date back, but as soon as allowed, Sal was in touch, and his team was here...masked up and ready to go! They did an amazing job and exceeded our expectations. The project was completed on budget and quicker than quoted. Our dedicated team of 4 experienced workers came every day at 8;30am and worked hard all day. Sal checked in frequently and was always available. He was genuinely concerned that we were happy with every stage of the project. We love our remodeled kitchen , recessed lighting and vinyl plank flooring throughout...all completed, and inspection passed, in 4 weeks. Jesse was a calm and competent foreman and Federico an experienced, skilled craftsman, who we really appreciated for his attention to detail and can do attitude. I would entrust Sal and Q A Builders with any future projects and have no doubts about fully recommending them. read more
