A well and so amazing project with great potential and potential to thrive in the future and I

We recently hired Home Quality Remodeling to transform our living room into a dedicated dance and fitness studio, and we couldn't be happier with the results. This wasn't a typical remodeling project. One of our key requirements was installing a professional sprung dance subfloor, along with creating a space optimized for filming videos and teaching online fitness classes. From the very beginning, Michael, our project manager, took the time to understand our vision and requirements. He was easy to work with, responsive, and offered thoughtful guidance throughout the planning process. A special thank you to Derek and his team, who executed the entire project. Their professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and speed of execution exceeded our expectations. We always knew what was happening, and the craftsmanship was outstanding. One of the highlights of the project is the Venetian plaster finish they created. The texture looks absolutely beautiful in person and photographs incredibly well, making it perfect for video production. The sprung dance floor they installed feels fantastic and performs exactly as we had hoped. The final result truly impressed us. If you're looking for a remodeling company that combines excellent craftsmanship, great communication, and genuine attention to your goals, I highly recommend Home Quality Remodeling. We would gladly work with them again. read more

I renovated my entire home with Home Quality Remodeling, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Jaeden Guerna was an outstanding project manager from start to finish. He provided a very competitive price, was incredibly helpful with the design and material selection, and ensured that every aspect of the renovation was completed to my satisfaction. What stood out most was Jaeden's genuine passion for the project. He worked closely with both the designer and my realtor, paying attention to even the smallest details. He also made several thoughtful suggestions that significantly improved the quality of the renovation--details I likely would have overlooked on my own. The finished result exceeded my expectations. My home looked fantastic and received countless compliments from my neighbors, prospective buyers, and everyone who visited. I highly recommend Home Quality Remodeling, and especially Jaeden, to anyone looking for a contractor who truly cares about delivering exceptional results. read more

We wanted to remodel our bathroom from the original build and chose HQR to complete the work after getting quotes from 4 other companies. Jaeden was the project manager who came to our home and walked us through his process. He gave us a verbal quote same day and a written quote within a day or two. The cost was competitive, especially because it included an in-person designer with mockups. I am a very particular person with perfectionistic tendencies, so it was important to me to have my vision play out to exact specifications. I also needed to have it completed on a tight timeline. Overall, the work that we had done (complete gutting and remodel of a full bathroom, plus retiling the floor of the powder room) met my high expectations. It turned out beautifully and adds a lot to our home. I trusted the workers who did the work, which was important when I had an emergency and had to be away from home for 2 weeks. Jaeden checked in on the project regularly and was in prompt communication with us for any questions or concerns we had. The biggest issue we had was with the supplier, Kitchen Makers, who did not reserve the materials we purchased and did not communicate anything with us or HQR. This led to a delay and, unfortunately, a change in design due to having to find a different vendor for the countertop. However, Jaeden was able to find us a new piece that also saved us a lot of money. At the end of the project, everything was reviewed by Jaeden and myself, and every requested touch-up was made to our 100% satisfaction. It was then cleaned (twice) to ensure we could come home safely without any dust or other mess. We were so pleased that we've contracted them again for our parents' bathroom remodel. read more

Unfortunately, our experience with this company was very disappointing. They missed the initial estimate appointment (Strike 1), and I had to follow up to check in. They later rescheduled and offered a 10% discount off the proposal for the inconvenience, but on the day of the rescheduled appointment, the project manager showed up over an hour late (Strike 2). No call or heads up ahead of time at all. After the estimate, we waited over a week and did not receive the proposal. I followed up (again) and was told it would be sent by end of day Friday. It's been 2 weeks since then and we still haven't received it (Strike 3). We really wanted to like this company based on their great reviews, but the lack of communication and follow-through was incredibly concerning. If they can't arrive on time for an estimate or send through a proposal when promised, it makes you question how reliable they would be for the actual job. read more

If it involves a key, they get it done. Great selection of locks and key related goo-gaws, too.

Sometimes you can judge a business by how they treat you when you don't go with their services. We ended up choosing another company for our bathroom remodeling project, but Jaeden was entirely gracious and did not pressure me to change my mind. He asked and answered a few questions and let me know he is available if I want to reach out. I trusted him in my home, and he was readily available for questions. At our initial appointment he showed up right on time and communicated before hand to confirm moving the appointment to an earlier time. read more

The general rule of thumb is to get at least 3 quotes before beginning any remodel. We were so impressed with Amir Levy from HQR that we chose to forgo this advice. Amir was the second contractor we reached out to, but we knew within the first 15 minutes of our consultation that we wanted him to lead our remodel. As it was our first time doing a full house remodel, we really had no idea what to expect. The first contractor we spoke to made grandiose claims about what they could accomplish and how easy everything would be as well as pressured us to sign a rushed and inaccurate SOW, all of which gave us bad vibes. In contrast, Amir was refreshingly realistic about the process of going through a full remodel, including going over with us all of our available options with the pros and cons of each option; what to consider and expect during each stage of the remodel; and typical remodeling challenges. After our consultation, he sent us a very detailed SOW within the promised time frame. As we were reviewing the SOW, he encouraged us to ask questions and be upfront with him about all of our concerns. Whatever concerns we had prior to signing the contract, he was able to address honestly and without any sugarcoating. We truly felt that he had our best interests in mind and wanted us to make the right decision for our home and family, regardless of who we went with. We ultimately signed with HQR because we felt that we could trust Amir. Amir understands full house remodels very well which made the entire process overall stress free for us. If we had questions about any phase, Amir was able to answer them; if he didn't have the answers, he would search for them and get back to us. He also has a list of recommended vendors for each major phase. While he didn't require us to go with his vendors, we ended up going with them 99% of the time because it greatly simplified things for us. We know we were not the easiest clients due to our perfectionist tendencies. However, Amir is also a perfectionist himself, and this is reflected in the quality of work that he delivered. No large project is completely without challenges so what matters to us is how those challenges are addressed. If there was ever a mistake in the work, he would have his workers fix it to his (very high) standards, no questions asked. There were even many instances where he pointed out and corrected mistakes that we would have never caught ourselves which is a reflection of his integrity and dedication to delivering quality work. As we progressed in the project and had a better idea of our remaining budget, we added several change orders. Amir made the change order process very straightforward by giving us reasonable quotes with full clarity on what would be included and excluded. We never felt like we had to negotiate with him, and there were never surprises about something not being covered. In summary, we feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with Amir Levy. He is honest, hardworking, dependable, and passionate about his work. He keeps all of his promises no matter how large or small. Thanks to him, we went from having an outdated, mostly original 1970s home to what we finally feel is a beautiful home that reflects our family. We receive compliments from EVERYONE who visits. If you are looking to have a remodel done, I cannot recommend Amir more. He will prove himself to you over and over again. read more

Great experience with Amir. He arrived on time for our consultation regarding a 2-bathroom remodel and was extremely thorough. He walked me through every detail of the project so I knew exactly what to expect. Highly professional and detailed. He was very knowledgeable and made the scope of work clear. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a detailed and professional assessment." read more

We are exceptionally thankful for Amir Levy of HQR, who managed our dream project from start to successful completion - maintaining schedule and cost of his original estimates. We doubled the size (+1300 sf) of our home by expanding the first floor and adding a second. As part of the overall plan, he made our entire home beautiful by also updating the existing kitchen and bathrooms. We would work with him again, and want to share our enthusiasm for him and the results Amir achieved for us. Before we met Amir, we had contacted a few other companies, none of which could provide a comprehensive approach. Contractors told us, "go get a plan and I will build it" and architects, "I will draw what you request but no idea what it will cost to build". This project was a once-in-a-lifetime event for us, on a fixed budget, and we had no experience with such a large undertaking. We were lost until we met Amir. When we started we thought Amir's proposal was a good value, but by the end of the project, having a full appreciation for everything he did, we are delighted that it was an exceptional value. Amir scoped out what HQR would handle directly - and offered us choices to collaborate with his referrals to architects, engineers, designers, and providers of major finish materials like windows & doors, cabinets & countertops. An extremely valuable aspect of his referrals was their track records and his approach to "own and drive" these engagements for the best results for our project. We chose to proceed with each of his referrals and are very satisfied with Amir's direct involvement and the outcomes. This not only saved us time and stress, but also maximized communication between all involved making it easy to confer for collaboration and adjustments when needed. Amir was in frequent contact with us throughout the project, keeping us up to date on his progress as well as proactively advising us of time frames in which we needed to make project decisions, and to select and purchase finish materials. Most importantly, on the rare occasions of unexpected roadblocks or mistakes, he let us know right away and found a path to resolution. It's clear to us, Amir always chose what was right versus what was easy, demonstrating his integrity throughout our project. read more

We had a great meeting with Alexis, very knowledgeable . We hope to continue our plan to remodel our home. He explained in a very realistic way, seems to be honest and he is proud of the company he represents. Cant' wait to hear from you soon! read more

Amir Levy is honestly one of the best things that has ever happened to me professionally. I truly thank the lord for letting me meet that man. He's genuine, hardworking, straight shooter, and extremely capable. You will not regret hiring him. You'll get the best price for the highest quality work out there. I contacted 6 other companies for a full bath remodel and before even met with the last 3, already knew Home Quality was the one I was going to go with. He's very detailed and takes into consideration everything. I'm very hard to please but do not have a single complaint about the entire project. Not one. He will over-deliver. I promise you. read more

This is a long overdue review of a project HQR did for my mom. We hired a contractor to do a very extensive remodel for my 70 yr old mother's home. The contractor ended up running off with a large amount of unfinished work which we had naively already paid for. Izik from HQR came to our rescue. He was extremely professional, personable, and empathic to our situation. HQR was able to finish the job at our tight budget. Thankful to have met and worked with HQR. My mother can finally enjoy the beautiful home she rightfully deserves. I highly recommend working with Izik if you are given to opportunity! read more

We had HQR remodel our house in Walnut Creek in summer 20177. From the very beginning, Ron was professional and showed up on time for every meeting. He took the business and client satisfaction seriously. His proposal was reasonable and he personally took calls to understand your concerns, design ideas and materials you wanted to use and made suitable recommendations. Throughout the process, Ron was attentive and his ability to address any issue or concern we had was amazing. The last thing you want is a contractor that only cared about his own bottom-line and didnt care about customer service. Our project to remodel our kitchen and 3 baths were done on time and came out beautifully! We were very happy with his team's work and their level of customer service. read more

We had a pleasure of working with Amir Levy for HQR. We originally chose him based upon superb Yelp reviews, and we are absolutely thrilled with our decision. Amir and his team were able to complete an extensive remodeling of the kitchen, floors, 2 bathrooms including a master within 6 months (that is 6 months from initial conceptualization of the project, to the permitting process, to demolition, remodel, and finally move in). In fact, after the permit process was completed with the city, he and his team essentially finished everything in 2.5 months! Talking with other friends who have had projects run past a year, we were so happy with our end result. Amir is more than a project manager -in addition to being overall, diligent, communicative, understanding, and highly professional, he was always looking out for our best interests and ensuring top notch quality in the work. He was also flexible and able to work with us despite limitations in our work schedule. He always keeps his promises in regards to the project. We would absolutely recommend him and his team for any projects you are considering. read more

Highly recommend this company for Your construction needs! Had a fence that had partially burned down and needed the section replaced. They came out and took care of it quickly within a day even in the midst of the rain and did a wonderful job. It matches the rest of my fencing well. Ron, Avi and the guys at HQR did a stellar job on our huge home remodel. We added a second story to our small 2-1 craftsman bungalow in Oakland, nearly doubling it in size. We also moved a kitchen and living room wall and completely gutted our very old kitchen. We basically rebuilt the entire home, while doing out best retain and restore the character of our nearly 100 year old home. We had tried to start this process over a few years, running into snags and unethical contractors along the way, and are so happy that we landed in the capable hands of this team. At every step along the way, we felt honestly communicated with and cared for on a personal level. In addition to this, all of the subcontractors they worked with were top notch as well as courteous and considerate of our neighbors. Not only did they do a remarkable job and make our house the talk of the neighborhood, they went above and beyond to really be sure we were always 100% happy with all of the work being done. Even with the pandemic hitting right in the middle of our project, they managed to finish within our original timeline as promised. I would without a doubt recommend them for any project you have, large or small. I'm attaching a few photos to show the scale of our undertaking. Enjoy! read more

I think anyone who is not accustomed to the world of home remodeling would find the process very intimidating. I came across Amir Levy and HQR via Houzz. Of all the project managers I met, Amir appeared to me as the most straight forward and genuine. Signing with Amir and his crew was the best decision I made. As someone who had bad experiences with contractors, he proved to be more than a project manager but a partner who looked out for my best interest. He was also very understanding with my limitations and worked around it to the best of his ability. If I were to remodel again, I will not hesitate to call him back. I highly recommend Amir and HQR! read more

My wife and I inherited an old house that needed to be remodeled at least the kitchen and one bathroom, Amir and his crew did an excellent job, also we had some other issues that they pointed out to us and helped us to get them fixed at a very reasonable price. There was alot of comunication with Amir. I Also wanted to thank the design team that did an amazing job. Eveyone was nice and very professional. We look forward to working with them in the future if we have any more projects that need to be done. Thank you so much!! read more

Bought a house (6 months ago) that needed a lot of TLC. Initially I was dreading the process of picking a contractor and dealing with the work itself. We remodeled 3 bathrooms and it turned out to be a very positive experience thanks to Ron and his guys (including René and his crew). They make everything smooth. Ron is the coolest. He understands what you want better than yourself and with his experience is able to describe it to you with all the bells and whistles you didn't know you wanted in a language even people the most unfamiliar with construction can understand. As for the quality Ron first has great taste and second he won't quit until you (and he actually) are fully satisfied with the end result. For instance the shower floor tile wasn't perfect in one of the bathrooms. Ron brought in a shower tile expert to redo it even though we would have been fine with it the way it was. He always makes sure the customer is happy and can fix anything to get there. Just check for yourselves some of the before and after pics ... good luck with your project read more

Awesome work! Can't say enough about these guys! Super professional!! Remodel came out amazing!

HQR just completed a master bathroom remodel for us. We would use them again without hesitation! We had a shower waterproofing failure from our previous remodel that forced us to tear out a large tiled shower and tiled floor. Amir was our project manager, and gave us a prompt and thorough quote. Given that the waterproofing problem was the only reason we were doing the project, I asked a lot of detailed questions about how they planned to do certain steps. Amir was able to answer my questions to my satisfaction, and made me feel confident that HQR knew what they were doing. We found Amir to be very friendly, easy to communicate with, refreshingly honest, and transparent. He was more than willing to entertain my questions and make sure that my concerns were satisfied. He double-checked the quantity of materials we were ordering, which helped avoid a likely delay. Daniel was the foreman. He and his team are very experienced with tile, which was perfect since our job required a lot of tile work - specifically large format tiles. Daniel and his team did a truly outstanding job. They had excellent craftsmanship, and took pride in their work. They had specialists for different tasks rather than trying to be a jack-of-all-trades. Everyone was very professional and pleasant to work with. I appreciated how well they cleaned up the workspace and surrounding areas at the end of each day. Everyone wore masks consistently due to Covid. Ron, the owner, stopped by a couple of times to check on progress and make sure standards were being upheld (which they already were). The work was completed on time and on budget as per the original estimate. The final result came out looking amazing, and the attention to detail was incredible - far beyond our expectations! read more

While searching for a contractor for a kitchen/laundry room remodel, I came across Home Quality Remodeling. I was impressed with their portfolio and set a meeting with Project Manager Jacob. Upon meeting Jacob, I found him to be very personable and easy to work with. He was very open to my initial plans and he also shared his wealth of knowledge and experience, which I appreciated. We ended up going with Home Quality Remodeling and agreed upon a price and timeframe. The foreman Arnoldo and his team were punctual, clean, and efficient. I saw right away how well Jacob and Arnoldo work together as everything we communicated to Jacob was apparent in Arnoldo's work. Like any project, unexpected issues arise, but Jacob's expertise and problem solving skills definitely helped navigate through the process. Jacob was open to our feedback and it was clear that our overall satisfaction with the project was his top priority. Overall, we're thrilled with how our kitchen turned out and have no regrets about choosing Home Quality Remodeling. Jacob left us feeling confident that even though the project is complete he is still available should we need anything in the future. read more

We recently had our kitchen and garage remodeled and our whole house repainted with Home Quality Remodeling. Our project manager was Amir Levy, and he was fantastic. He was always friendly, kept us in the loop at all stages of the project, and often helped us choose and/or pick up finished materials when we were unable (even when we were overseas). His attention to detail was amazing, catching layout and design issues that would have been costly to fix retrospectively, and continually made sure that his subcontractors work was up to scratch (having the work redone if it was not done to his satisfaction). We finally got around to remodeling our ancient master bath in our 60's ranch style home and wow- we picked the right company in HQR. Our project manager Avi was delightful from start to finish- funny, personable and super efficient. He always communicated with us in such a timely fashion and ran many of the small errands that came up during the project while we were at work. Our construction manager was José. He and his crew were fabulous. Again- the communication was so good and so thorough. Their workmanship was beautiful and they were prompt in tweaking the few items on our final punch list. We are actually sad that we won't be seeing them every day any more, but we are thrilled with the completed project. We feel like we are on vacation in a fancy hotel every time we use our new bathroom . Thanks guys for the beautiful job! read more

Highest marks for HQR. I contacted Rafi (Project Manager) after a disastrous experience with another contractor, who left us with a brand-new, leaking shower they refused to fix. Folks, very few contractors will step in and fix someone else's mess: it's just too much of a headache. But Rafi agreed to help us, thank goodness. He was delightful to work with and actually became a friend in the process. Having your house ripped up months after you've just completed a job is pretty traumatic: Rafi understood this and was really patient with our anxiety and all our questions. After he removed the faulty shower, he insisted that we test for mold to be thorough. I really didn't think this would be a problem after just a few months of leaking, but lo and behold, he was right. We had mold. Rafi helped us get it remediated quickly and then rebuilt our bathroom. He gave me a lot of good design advice in the process which the other contractor never bothered to do. We are not just thankful for the good job HQR did, we are indebted to Rafi for taking on this very challenging project and making us smile at a really difficult time. Thank you HQR! read more

We recently worked with Home Quality Remodeling to do a partial bathroom remodel, tiling for two bathrooms and a new shower for one. We worked with Eddie and our experience was great. He was very knowledgeable and prompt with his responses at almost all hours of the day, and did a great job of reassuring us that the job was completed wonderfully. He was a big help at picking out materials, and came with me to the showrooms to help me decide and get the best deal. The worker always came on time, and was very dedicated. For example we had some concerns about a part of the tiles in one bathroom, so before using it again for the other they laid out every piece of the remaining tiles (over 20 tiles) and made sure we personally selected the tiles that will be placed in the other bathroom.
