We worked with QA Builders on quite an extensive home remodel, including an addition for our master bedroom and bathroom, a guest bathroom remodel, adding a new laundry room, and removing a wall to create an open-concept kitchen and living room. We got quotes from several contractors, but decided to go with QA Builders because Sal was professional, knowledgeable, and engaged. From the beginning, Sal and his team gave us the impression that they could help us get the project done right and in a timely manner. Pricing was reasonable and competitive for the area. They also worked with our budget, and whenever something came up that required additional costs, Sal communicated it ahead of time and made sure we understood and approved it before moving forward. One of the things that impressed us the most was how communicative and responsive Sal was throughout the project. Whenever an issue came up, he was quick to address it, listened to what we needed, and worked with us to find a solution. He was also very reliable and always on time or even early for appointments. He was also very proactive when it came to inspections. Since inspections can sometimes take a long time to schedule, Sal personally contacted the city regularly to see if an earlier appointment became available so we could stay on schedule. When an inspector came out, he would take pictures and videos and send us updates right away. It gave us peace of mind knowing he was staying on top of everything and keeping us informed. Sal is also very knowledgeable and has great connections for sourcing everything from bathroom fixtures and tiles to cabinets. He even picked up items for us when we didn't have time. Those extra efforts made the whole process much easier, and we really appreciated that. Overall, we had a great experience with QA Builders and are very happy with the results. We'd definitely recommend them and would gladly work with them again. read more

QA Builders - General Contractors Near Me - San Jose, California

Now that its been a month since my project ended, here are my thoughts-- TL;DR they're solid folks to work with. For some context, I have personally project managed my own smaller projects before this in the same home by contracting directly. In the last 1.5 years, I've replaced flooring throughout, closed up some extra doors, new roof, replaced a door with a window, full paint throughout the house, installed a new bathroom vanity, a couple of DIYs, etc. It was a *LOT* of work to do this; but I was fortunate to have a flexible work schedule at the time in order to oversee my project in this way and I was onsite daily, often working in the backyard on my laptop. For this most recent project, I knew I needed professional support to do a 'like for like' bathroom remodel and a half bathroom remodel to pull out an old shower shell and replace with tiling with updated fixtures and electrical. The crew also replaced 5 interior doors in the home including a garage door. Home remodels are tough; most of us homeowners have high expectations which makes sense given that we're spending large sums of money to do a project and then we also live in the house afterwards... we tend to fixate on the smallest details. Is everything perfect? No. But is hiring a professional contractor worth it in certain cases? Yes. I can attest since I've gone both routes now in the last 1.5 years re-working a very worn 1980's home into something that feels fresh. Of the 4 companies I met with, QA builders came in with the best quote and fairness. I was not "mansplained", I was given a fair quote from the first interaction, follow ups actually happened after the first meeting, and our PM Josh was helpful, respectful, communicative, and informative throughout. I rarely felt I had to 'chase' Josh down for next steps. That's HUGE A big plus of working with a contractor is they can help you deliver materials to home for staging such as tiles, plumbing fixtures, bath fixture, etc. Since I don't have a truck, this really came in handy. Additionally, it's a second pair of eyes to help you follow up on random missing parts that are needed and also a human to help advise on small but necessary questions like how many pieces of metal edging for the bathroom would be necessary. Josh was our main point to everything, and honestly, feels like I really paid for his partnership more than anything else. He took a big burden off my plate by organizing the teams, permits, stages of work, etc. We also had some unexpected changes; the main contractor (not Sal) worked on our project for two days before swapping out with an associate. First day was bumpy as things were moving quickly and due to some miscommunications between me, my partner, and the person working the shower head. I came home from work and was upset to discover the shower head was not installed at the right height. The team also began demo in bathroom we had *not* planned for so it was not so fun to discover my belongings covered in demo dust while the other bathroom was completely cleared out for demo. Given it was the first day of the project it made me worried for what would follow, but Josh and the contractor resolved the height issue after I asked for the change without hassle. I threw out my toothbrush, packed out my other bathroom items, and moved on. Rupture and repair means everything, and the team handled the rupture. :) Day to day - language was a bit tricky sometimes; thankfully I shared the same language as some of the workers which helped a lot, but there were also some moments where things were unclear. Workers were a bit of a revolving door; generally we had one "tile person", one electrician who also did other projects, and one generalist who helped with our doors and random paint projects and some other folks who stopped by for certain parts. I found out that it was helpful for me to be home every day during the project during the morning at least, to field all of the questions before heading off to work. It probably would have delayed the project if this were not the case. Although we had people in and out of the home for 4.5 weeks of the project daily (and sometimes on Saturdays), my indoor cat was never endangered or escaped. I'm thankful that one of the workers always made sure she was safely tucked away before beginning their work for the day. A random but annoying thing that ended up happening - because we left the front door open during the day of the project, we ended up having swarms of flies persisting in our home. :( Tip - I discovered that the 10% of tile overage I purchased was not enough two times; I had to go out and buy more, which was fine for some parts but then also rough for another because the tile ended up being backordered for days which halted the project. Consider buying way more because even when I bought more tile we barely had enough to finish or making strategic purchases where vendors have enough supply on hand during your project. read more

Sal is the CEO and also our PM for our bathroom remodeling project. I talked to 3 contractors and finally decided on them. On the first consultation visit, Sal came in totally hands on. He pulled out his measuring tape and started to show me what he noticed on the dimensions and how everything works when they are rebuilt, such as how the floor will be connected between tiles in the bathroom to the wood floor in the hallway. His attention to details and the down to earth style won our decision. We spent 3 weeks on the master bathroom, passed inspections, then due to the contractor lead's personal business, we took a 2 weeks break, and then resumed remodeling for the guest bathroom for another 3 weeks. Inspections were all scheduled ahead of time and each time was passed with ease. Things were setup step by step and Sal was very on top of any issues as we had a Whatsapp group to discuss issues instantaneously. Sal referred us to a few of his connected shops for discounted price products but we are also free to shop around and find our own supplier. Price negotiation was straight forward and anything deviated from the plan was discussed. For things we had no clue, Sal gave us his suggestions and it was useful. Overall, we were very happy with the craftmanship of the two bathrooms and the services we got. We easily called them back for touch up and small fixes. I would recommend QA Builders. read more

We had a very positive experience working with Sal and his team on our full house remodel! Sal was very accommodating to our needs and wants, taking the time to listen to our preferences and making sure our vision was reflected throughout the project. We especially appreciated how approachable and easy he was to communicate with, as well as his honesty in sharing his opinions and professional recommendations. His input helped us make informed decisions and feel confident throughout the remodeling process. The scope of our remodel was extensive and included a full kitchen renovation with a new island, new flooring throughout the entire house, fresh paint, and insulation. We also removed a wall to create a bigger living room, which helped transform the overall feel and layout of our home. In addition, we added a brand-new primary bathroom and remodeled two other guest bathrooms, including tile work and the installation of a new tub, toilets, and vanities. Throughout the project, Sal's team was responsive to our feedback, cooperative, and willing to work with us to make adjustments along the way. They worked neatly and were respectful of our home throughout the remodeling process. We appreciated their openness to our input and their efforts to bring our ideas to life. Overall, we're very pleased with the work completed and appreciate Sal's professionalism, communication, and willingness to accommodate our needs and preferences. We would gladly work with Sal and his team again for future home improvement projects and would recommend them to others looking to remodel their home. read more

I recently completed two full bathroom remodels with QA Builders and couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the team was organized, professional, and worked efficiently throughout the project. I interviewed five different companies, and QA Builders gave me the most confidence. Since this was my first remodeling project, I naturally had a lot of questions. Josh was the project manager and was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in explaining every step--from the design phase and materials selection (I could source materials from anywhere and the company had discounts with certain vendors) to the construction schedule and daily cleanup. Josh also happily provided references when I asked, which gave me additional confidence moving forward. Throughout the remodel, Josh checked in with me daily, was exceptionally responsive, and always available to address my questions. He was easy to work with, and communication was outstanding--I always knew what work was being done each day and what to expect next. He consistently went the extra mile. Whether it was making extra trips to pick up materials, finding alternative suppliers, or solving unexpected challenges, he always found a way to keep the project moving forward. The rest of the crew was just as committed, arriving on time, working efficiently, and cleaning up before leaving each day, which I especially appreciated since I was worried about my dog getting into things. Josh and the team made the overall remodel experience a very positive one. They handled the permit process and inspections, which made the project much easier to navigate. The craftsmanship, especially the tile work, was outstanding, and the finished bathrooms exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend QA Builders and look forward to working with them again on future remodeling projects. read more

We just completed our master bathroom remodel with QA Builders and they were exceptional. Having been through previous remodels, communication was our top priority when interviewing vendors. Our project manager, Josh Sharon, is the gold standard for communication and his project management made the entire process seamless. Before work began, we had a good idea of our design but Josh was very helpful in answering our questions, finding materials, and asking us about things we didn't even think of. Every text and email was answered expediently (Pro tip: The QA Builders discount with suppliers is very generous!) Once construction started, Tien and his crew were efficient, considerate, and highly respectful with our house. They dedicated the last hour every day to cleaning up - which our cat definitely appreciated. Even though the San Jose permit process can sometimes be a nightmare, the team passed every inspection with no issues and finished the entire remodel in just two weeks! When things went wrong (as they will in any remodel), Josh always arrived with solutions that worked for us. We are thrilled with the final result and cannot recommend Josh and the QA Builders team enough! read more

QA Builders recently completed a major addition to our home -- a new family room and master bedroom -- and they were exceptional from start to finish. We interviewed multiple contractors, QA Builders immediately gave us the most confidence. Sal, Josh, and the entire crew were professional, skilled, and incredibly easy to work with. They kept us informed every step of the way, included us in every decision, and never hesitated to take on small fixes or extra requests we made along the way. What really stood out was how supportive and patient they were -- they guided us through the process, offered great recommendations, and made what could have been a stressful renovation feel smooth and organized. Most importantly, they do what they say they will do. The work was completed ahead of schedule, the craftsmanship is excellent, and they clearly take pride in getting things right. Even when we expanded the scope (by a lot), they jumped in without hesitation and made sure everything looked perfect. We're absolutely loving the new space and find ourselves using it every day -- our old living room barely gets touched now! It's rare to find a contractor that combines quality, reliability, honesty, and genuine care for their clients, but QA Builders truly does. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a team they can trust to transform their home. read more

QA Builders - New bathroom - General Contractors Near Me - San Jose, California

We recently renovated our master bathroom's shower booth, which was leaking and caused water damage downstairs, with QA Builder. Poli and the team helped and managed the whole process (quote, material selections and shopping, city permit and actual construction works) and it has been wonderful to work with them. Quote We specifically looked for general contractors who are willing to renovate shower booth, not the entire bathroom. Many of the general contractors that we contacted simply didn't want to do only the shower booth. Out of a few general contractors that we were able to find, the quote from QA builder was around the middle. Poli came over to our house and gave great practical recommendations and explanations about the whole process, making us select QA builder over other contractors. Material Selections Shower renovation was a complex process and overwhelming for home owners, as there were many steps and materials to choose. There are so many different types of tiles and shower components--which one should I choose and where should I buy? Poli brought me to a couple of stores, where I can talk to their sales representatives and select the materials. There was no pressure to purchase from these specific stores and I am not very used to offline shopping, but I found that this was actually most effective way to buy materials. Communication During the actual construction period, Poli brought specialists (e.g. tiling team) when needed or worked on the tasks himself with other crews. We found communication with him very easy, as we just needed to meet him at house or text him. As he actually worked in our house and communicated with us for the whole process, he immediately understood what is going in our house and our needs. read more

We hired QA Builders for a full interior remodel of our home, including the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and office, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. We worked closely with Josh (project manager) and Mike (general contractor), and from the very beginning, the process felt smooth and well thought out. Josh was fantastic to work with from day one, he even came out on a Sunday afternoon to walk through the plans so he could provide an accurate quote. After interviewing five different companies, QA Builders stood out not only for their fair and reasonable pricing, but also for how well Josh understood what actually mattered to us. He helped us think creatively about where to invest and where we could save, allowing us to meet our goals without blowing the budget on things that wouldn't have long-term value. We also used QA Builders' in-house designer, who did a great job helping us design the kitchen and bathrooms. The entire team worked quickly and efficiently, even putting in time on weekends when needed. The original estimate was three months, but the project was completed in about 2.5 months from demolition to final delivery. Since I wasn't always able to be on site, having Josh as the project manager made a huge difference, he kept me updated daily, communicated clearly, and worked with me to find solutions whenever issues came up (which is inevitable when remodeling an older home). He was always reachable, incredibly responsive, and genuinely easy to work with. Mike was equally great. He consistently prioritized doing things the right way and made sure we understood what was realistic when we inevitably came up with some ambitious ideas. As with any construction project, not everything is perfect right away, but what we truly appreciated was that Josh and the team were always willing to come back and address the small items we noticed after move-in. Overall, we had a fantastic experience with QA Builders, Josh, and Mike. It was reassuring to have a one-stop shop, finish ahead of schedule, and stay within budget. If you're considering a home remodel or construction project, I would absolutely recommend QA Builders. read more

Summary If you are looking for a GC, we highly recommend QA builders. Clear communication made the entire process smooth and we were really impressed with the quality of their work. All in all, we are very happy with the results. Details As first-time homeowners, we purchased a townhouse and wanted to complete renovations before moving in. Our project scope included a full kitchen renovation, replacing linoleum flooring in all 3 bathrooms, and updating flooring throughout the rest of the home. We met half a dozen other GCs before contacting QA Builders. The first point that set QA Builders apart from the others was that they sent the project manager instead of an estimator. When I called QA Builders, Sal picked up and told me that he he was currently booked but that he can send Poli to come over and discuss the project. From our first meeting with Poli, it was clear he was passionate and took pride in his work. We also appreciated his clear communication. After discussing the project scope, he walked us through a budget worksheet to estimate material costs and labor, giving us a realistic picture of the total project cost. This was invaluable since we had a budget limit, and Poli was committed to working within our constraints. What truly set QA Builders apart was Poli's hands-on approach to sourcing materials. During the first few weeks, he took us to various specialty vendors to select the materials needed including bathroom cabinets, PVC flooring, tiles. While we were impressed by the vast selection at each shop--almost overwhelmed at times--Poli guided us through every decision. His vendor relationships ensured competitive pricing and better quality compared to big box stores. A particular highlight was selecting our quartz countertop at a stone warehouse where we could view and choose from an extensive array of slabs to find the perfect match. Walter and his team handled the construction work, and we were very impressed with their meticulous attention to detail. The bathroom tiles are perfectly aligned, even up to the side tiles, and the kitchen cabinet doors are all precisely aligned. It's clear that Walter takes pride in getting every detail right. Poli brought valuable ideas and suggestions to the project. Most notably, after removing the old cabinets, he identified a floating wall in the kitchen and recommended removing it. While this decision required us to redesign the cabinet layout and caused a schedule delay--compounded by the project overlapping with the holiday season--it proved worthwhile. Removing the wall significantly opened up the kitchen space. However, the delay meant we had to move in before the project was completely finished. The team worked hard to get as much done before the move and after we moved in, Walter and crew were very respectful of our space, cleaning up their workspace at the end of each day. Towards the end of the project, we provided a list of minor fixes that needed attention. Poli and Walter thoroughly reviewed each item, ensuring that all work was completed to our satisfaction. We are very happy with the results and the whole process was smooth. We will definitely contact them for our next project. On a side note, I genuinely enjoyed interactions with Poli and Walter. I am a curious person and enjoy learning about the details of how things work. Poli and Walter were always happy to answer my questions about the project and share their expertise on how various parts in the home work. Their patience and willingness to educate me were truly appreciated. read more

Highly Recommend QA Builders I would gladly give QA Builders a 10 out of 10. After working with many contractors over the past 30 years, I can honestly say they are one of the very best we have ever hired. We hired QA Builders to transform our old bathroom with a tub into a beautiful, modern shower room. From the beginning, Sal made us feel comfortable and confident. He arrived on time, listened carefully, provided a clear and detailed quote, and worked with us to stay close to our budget. The crew started the job exactly when promised, worked full days, kept the job moving steadily, and cleaned up carefully at the end of each day. Their craftsmanship was excellent, especially the tile work, and they always took the time to do things carefully and correctly. Sal checked in almost daily, helped us choose the plumbing fixtures and tiles, and even hauled supplies to our house, which saved us a lot of time and effort. The project was completed on time, stayed within budget, and passed all city inspections. Most importantly, we absolutely love our new bathroom. QA Builders are skilled, reliable, fair, and caring. We would happily recommend them to anyone. read more

I'm on the finishing end of a small bathroom renovation and home lighting project. Just waiting for my shower door and new toilet to arrive but the work and service that has already been accomplished has exceeded my expectations. I was referred to QA builders through a different app (not Yelp), where I interviewed three different companies. QA Builders gave me the most expensive quote but they also gave me the most reassurance. I needed to know I could trust the people entering into my home and that there would be no drama. Josh Sharon (Project Manager) and his team of workers (Tom and Vian) did not disappoint. They were well informed and skilled at what they do. Being that this is my first home renovation project, I needed a bit of hand holding through some of the stages, especially at the start. Josh was with me every step of the way, even meeting me at a bathroom supplier and Home Depot to advise and be present in case I had questions specific to my own project. He gave top notch supplier recommendations. And when I asked for a referral to connect with a previous customer, there was no hesitation. He was open to sharing with me (with their permission, of course). One thing that I think stands out about QA Builders is that they do what they say they will do. There is honor and humility in that. They included me in all the decision making and when I found little bits where a clean up or fix up was needed, they did it to my liking. Even when I expanded my scope to include extra lighting, there was no hesitation. They jumped to it! Everyday, they came prepared with their tools and supplies to get the job done. At the end of the day, they cleaned up the day's mess well. And when Josh said he would come every day (unlike other contractors who said they'd stop by every 3 days or so), he followed through. He showed up everyday, sometimes even more if needed. And I was so grateful he did pick ups for my supplies. Thank you Josh, Tom and Vien for your first class service and hard work! Best team! Can't wait to work with you again on a future project! read more

Poli and his team did a great job helping rebuild our shower stall which had developed a leak in the pan. The new shower looks great and Poli was trustworthy and transparent. Poli and his team were even able to accommodate any small nitpicks and requests that we had at the end. Overall recommend! read more

Sal and QA builders have been a revelation to me. I was in an extremely bad situation and needing remodeling through out my home and in two bathrooms on a very urgent basis due to unforeseen damage. Sal was extremely quick to respond, gave me the best quote of all contractors, and was not shy to give vital input about the project. the work was of the finest quality and I can't imagine all this being done in such a short amount of time with such quality with any other contractor. please do yourself a favor and use QA builders. read more

We recently gave our home a facelift, with the main focus being our kitchen remodel. As first-time home buyers, we had no idea where to start. Needless to say, it was a blessing to have the team at QA Builders to navigate us through the remodeling and permitting process. They truly have it down to a science. We worked closely with Josh, who managed our project from start to finish. He was truly a pleasure to work with. He maintained quick and constant communication throughout the entirety of the project. He was a consummate professional, driving the project to completion, whilst making sure our voices were heard. He provided organized checklists for items to purchase, and gave gentle reminders to keep us on track throughout the process. Having someone like Josh in a project of this magnitude proved to be an invaluable asset, which sets QA Builders above other competitors. We also had the pleasure of working with Huy and Loc, who executed the build. This team was very friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. It was such an assurance having a team that I could trust when I was not onsite. My wife and I had to live on the property during the remodel, and the team was extremely respectful of our living spaces and made sure that they cleaned up after themselves after completing their work. The team obliged to all of our design wishes and went above and beyond in fulfilling all of our requests. I didn't have the chance to officially meet Sal, but I've heard nothing but great things about him from all of the vendors that had prior experience with QA Builders. TL;DR, with a project as near and dear to the heart as your home renovation/build, it's truly an asset to have a team you trust and work well with. QA Builders was that and more. My wife and I consider ourselves lucky to have had such a seamless experience with our first home renovation. Huge thanks to the QA Builders team! read more

Recently completed master and guest bathroom remodeling and very happy we chose QA Builders. Sal was very informative about our design options and set up meetings with his vendors for tile, hardware, and fixtures. This gave me the knowledge to select all the materials with a budget I was very pleased with in the end. His team was very professional, meticulous and hard-working. They completed on schedule and at the price quoted, which we felt was a very fair cost and reasonable timeframe. Permits and inspections were handled very efficiently. They also did reflooring of our half-bath and retiled our fireplace. We would work with Sal again for the many projects on our list! read more

Josh and the QA Builders team were exceptional! Now here's how it went. What I wanted to do was not the normal project as I wanted to convert an existing office to a cool/hip "speakeasy" bar (w/ hidden door) as well as converting my existing tiny bar into a room. I had a designer draw up a really cool design. Then I went to get bids for the job, which included QA Builders. Out of all the bids I felt most confident with Josh as well as their reasonably priced bid. I actually chose QA Builders over a builder that I used before who I thought I would be going with. Well thank goodness I went with QA Builders! Josh and the team DELIVERED exactly what they said they would. Project was done on time and the quote was the exact same as the final payment which is rare when dealing with general contractors. Josh came EVERY DAY and was available to me at any time answering and addressing any questions or requests I had. His team was led by Mike who were all great! This was not a non trivial job, I had a complex tile layout, hidden door, special wallpaper on a curved wall, a custom aquarium, etc. So happy I went with QA Builders! I will definitely be working them moving forward on my future projects. Don't hesitate to use them for your building needs! read more

Josh and his crew were phenomenal. We had an unexpected leak in our kitchen that resulted in a complete kitchen remodel. Josh was extremely patient with us through the planning phase as well as made some great suggestions on layout and materials. After meeting with multiple contractors, we hired QA Builders to bring our architect's drawings (two bedrooms and a half bath) for our home addition to life. From an operational and tactical perspective the team was spectacular, delivering everything they promised and more. Execution and attention to detail was better than we could have imagined. Communication throughout the project was timely, informative, knowledgeable and personable. Sal helped us coordinate selection and purchase of all our finishes, as well as weighing with recommendations when needed. We have heard plenty of horror stories of home renovations that have gone wrong--contractors disappearing before completion, sub par quality, prices skyrocketing, projects taking exponentially longer than planned--just nightmares. We were fortunate to have the complete opposite--working with Sal, Poli & the crew at Aldren Construction was a blissful dream. They finished in under the projected timeline even when we increased the scope of work. While most would have moved out during such a big remodel, we lived and WFH throughout. The crew was always on time and respectful, taking into account our schedules, our small children and our neighbors. The result is better than we could have hoped--only 475 square feet, but a complete transformation. Not only would we recommend QA Builders to anyone with a construction project, we're already looking for our next project just to work with them again. read more

Summary - Highly recommend QA Builders. Trust Sal (The owner) and he will do everything in his power to keep his promise. Sal is honest, friendly and a true professional! If you want the whole stoty, please read on- Scope of Work - Demolition and remodeling three full bathrooms, Master bedroom flooring, Paint job and some additonal electrical work in the kitchen area Hiring Process - We invited three contractors (based on Yelp and Google reviews) to give us a detailed quote. I met with Sal and noticed that he was the only contractor who was extremely detail-oriented about the work process as well as his bid. I could sense the passion and enthusiam in him about his work and I was sold Shopping - Once the contract was in place, Sal himslef took me to shop for all the materials needed for the project. He has an amazing list of vendors and it was a pleasure to shop for all the materials. They gave us good discounts too because of Sal. I have to note that Whenever I was confused about what to select (it may be the tiles or plumbing fixtures or something else), Sal stepped in and made a gentle suggestions to help me decide better. At the same time, if I did like something very much and if I could sense that he was not a big fan of my selection, Sal kept his opinion to himslef and never pressured me to change my mind. I really appreciate that quality in Sal Actual work - My family moved to a rental place for a few weeks since we were going to work on all three bathrooms. Sal promised to get two of the bathrooms ready within 4-6 weeks and he did. Sal's employees were courteous, friendly and helpful. When the team started demolishing, we realized that we couldnt proceed with certain plans as we hoped in the beginning. Sal and his team always came up with an alternate solution to make it work without compromising on the qulaity. I really respect Sal and his entire crew for respecting our property. They covered all the wall/cabinets at our place with plastic and floors, with thick construction paper while working. when most of the work was finished, they cleared all the coverings and since then they have been taking their shoes off(or they wore shoe covers) to enter our home for any remaining work to keep our floors clean. Sal's Team - I especially have to thank them for when my whole family was down with Covid and how well they treated us. They constantly checked up on us and inquired if we needed any help. We had all of our meetings on facetime since I couldnt meet them in-person. Basically, I knew exactly what was going on with our project all the time. I have to give a special shout-out to Poli (Sal's assistant). I have probably never met a person who is as efficient as Poli. Poli made sure all the materials were picked up, sorted and were in place for the project. If I wanted to communicate something to the team or Sal, all I needed to do was let Poli know and every message was conveyed immediately. Sal definitely trained Poli well! When things go wrong - This is when you know if you have made the right call. I dont think any project will run smoothly without some hiccups at the very least. Our proejct was not any different. The window we orderd didnt come on time. There was a time when the city inspector wanted them to fix an electrical issue which was unrelated to their work. We had a few of such issues and Sal, like a true professional just kept the work going until it was done. Even when his work truck was broken into, I didnt see Sal complaining. His first response was to alert me to double check if he had any of my checks on his truck that might have got stolen. All in all, it was a beautiful experience! Conclusion - We have three beautifully remodelled bathrooms and every other work was completd as promised. I would definietely hire Sal again for our future projects. I have attached a few before-after pictures here. The pictures definitely dont do justice for how beautiful, bathrooms have turned out to be. Thank you QA Builders!! read more

QA builders (Josh Sharon) were a pleasure to work with. After reviewing my request they quickly came back with a quote and clearly explained the process and what was included in quote. Their designer was super helpful and helped us come up with a really cool plan for the 2 bathrooms we wanted to remodel. They then were flexible when planning the dates to start the project and were able to make changes when certain events on my end messed up the schedule. Finally, the workman ship was amazing. If you're looking for a quality contractor to help remodel a bathroom, look no further. We hired QA Builders to remodel two bathrooms in our home and we couldn't be happier with the results. The quality of work was excellent and the entire crew was very timely and kept us informed throughout the entire process. The crew was extremely clean and respectful of our home and the work areas were kept neat and cleaned up at the end of the day. Not only do the bathrooms look updated and just what we wanted, but what really stood out was their patience and professionalism. When we ran into a couple of issues that were out of their control, including a bathroom tile supply chain delay and toilet size mixup, they handled everything calmly and communicated clearly. We would absolutely recommend Sal and his crew to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality bathroom remodel and would gladly hire them again. read more

I am so impressed with Sal, Jesse, and everyone at QA Builders. I had them remodel my kitchen, and they were a delight to work with. We have had a lot of work done in our house, and QA Builders has been the best and easiest to work with by far. Sal is very responsive, honest, and super friendly. The work was high quality, and he gave us suggestions when needed. He provides a quote for all the rough materials & building, and then we buy all the finish materials. However, he walks with you through getting all the finish materials (cabinets, counters, backsplash, etc.) and even has discounts at some stores. We even went out of town for a while when they were working on the kitchen, and Sal gave updates, and made sure we were informed with what was happening. I was able to trust the team to do good work even when I was away. They did our kitchen (new cabinets & counters but same layout), our downstairs bathroom, and an area that was a wet bar, but now is just cabinets. All areas are now lovely! Jesse was our team lead, and he is great. He knows what he's doing, and communicates well, and let us know everything that was going on. Overall, I am very impressed and would recommend QA Builders to anyone! read more

Sal and his team, Poli as well, did an absolutely fantastic job remodelling our kitchen, floors and painting. 1. We consulted with MANY contractors, got quotes, QA builders was the best in terms of responsiveness, price and reviews. 2. Right from the start when we got a quote till the contracts were signed, to the project completion, they have remained extremely professional, responsive to any matter, and on budget. 3. They understood our limits as full time working professionals, always found a way to work with our schedule for material selections, pick ups etc. 4. The work quality and finishing is BEAUTIFUL. We have remodelled other homes before, so can spot a bad job when we see one, they did a fantastic job with the finishes in the kitchen and floors. 5. Very important to us was timeline. They ensured us they would finish in a certain amount of time, and although you are at the mercy of material delivery, Sal and Poli and their team finished the work on time as promised! We were thrilled with that. 6. Sal came with me personally to help select the kitchen slab, understand differences between materials of backsplashes etc. Very thorough, and takes the time to explain everything in detail. 7. Even after the project has been complete, we have had a few leaks in the bathrooms , which was not even a part of their project, but they have been able to help us fix them in the timely manner! For me- Professionalism, Competitive fair pricing, and completion of work on time is the most important to me- which QA builders by far get 10 stars in! I plan to use them again when I remodel my bathrooms in this house, and when I build an extension to my new home. Highly recommend them for your services. read more

We recently completed renovations on master & guest showers, sub-floor reinforcement and leveling of our entire townhouse, painting of ceiling and walls, and installed a solution for covering our washer and dryer cubby. We are so happy with how the entire project turned out and that QA Builders were able to finish the project based on their original completion time frame. We found Josh and Poli of QA Builders to be very easy to work with. They listened to what we were looking for in a project, gave us a reasonable bid, and then guided us through the material selection process. We appreciated their advice and their ability to understand our needs. The Quartz slab showers the team installed look fabulous! Going into the project we were concerned because we were not living in CA. We weren't sure how easily or promptly we would be informed of progress or issues with the project. Josh (our main Project Manager) promised us that he would provide feedback to include phone calls, video calls, texts, pictures and video of the project. Once the project started we were so happy with the constant communication that we had. As much as we love the finished project, the constant communication showed us the QA Builders and Josh really believe in building trust and increasing engagement with the customer. Renovations can be big ticket items and it's nice to know that QA Builders understands that good communication can really make the process so much smoother and give the customer piece of mind. Josh made sure that our interests were aligned with what the QA Builders' team was doing. His can-do attitude made this process so smooth. Should we have the need for future projects, we would not hesitate working with Josh and QA Builders again. read more

Working with QA Builders was the best. They were on time, on budget, well-coordinated, and always of the highest quality. I had two bathrooms remodeled, kitchen cabinets refaced, flooring changed from carpet and linoleum to wood, repaired and painted wall-papered walls, and the whole house re-piped. From the initial meeting with Josh, the project manager, and throughout the 3 months of work, I trusted the team. The crew never missed a day and truly had their act together. Josh checked in several times a day to be sure everything was going well and was always ready with a solution when issues came up as will always happen with big projects. Communication was never an issue; we made decisions together and I was confident that they would handle everything professionally. Josh brought in expert specialists for each phase of the work (design, tile work, plumbing, painting, cabinetry, flooring) which made the finished product exactly what I wanted it to be. read more

Would recommend! Sal and his team from QA Builders worked on a small remodeling project in our house replacing all the doors and door frames. We are very happy with the result! Everything was done quickly and on time and communication with Sal has been great. He helped us pick and buy all the materials, answered questions and always kept his word. There were a couple of very minor imperfections on one of the doors and I messaged Sal it got quickly fixed. He is very responsive and accommodating and honestly good communication is absolutely key. I would definitely recommend working with Sal and QA Builders. They are efficient and professional and a pleasure to work with. Sal has great energy and is a fantastic communicator, which is very important and rare to find. Last but not least Sal actually gave us a very competitive quote for the labor! We'll consider Sal for our next project for sure! read more

We first met Sal, the owner of QA builders, back in 2018 when he was working for another company as a project manager. It was so great working with him that when we decided to do a home addition in 2024, we knew we wanted him. We had to do a bit of googling this time to find him, but we did, and found that he now has his own company. I'm so glad we did. He was really a partner the whole way through. Any time any little thing came up, he just said "I'm on it" and quickly took care of it. We decided to stay living in the house, with our 3 year old and our dog, throughout the whole project, which made that sort of responsiveness and understanding so much more important. He made it as comfortable on us as he could, and most importantly, we couldn't be happier with the end result. We now have the perfect house for our family and it's absolutely beautiful. read more

When Sal first came to our house we felt very comfortable with him and knew he would be the right choice. We have used Sal and his team on two different occasions now. The first was for a full kitchen remodel. We went from a 1980 kitchen to this amazing kitchen we have now in just a few months. This was all done during the pandemic and Sals team took great care in our safety. A couple months ago we were ready to replace our main bathroom. We called Sal and he came right over. We requested the same crew (Jesse and team) and we had the project done within 3 weeks. I cant say enough how impressed with are with Sal. So easy to work with and is always available. We highly recommend QA Builders! Paul & Stacey read more

We want to remodel our bathroom showers which have been used for over 20 years. After consulting with multiple builders, they either give us a price way over our budget or refuse to take the project because it is relatively small-scale and not a "full" bathroom remodeling. Then we find the QA builders with 5-star reviews on Yelp. Poli responded quickly and came during a weekend. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and passionate, and able to give us a very reasonable quote and explain the whole process in detail with us. He also went with us to multiple material stores and helped us select the tiles/pebbles for the project. Whenever we had a question, he always took care of it right away. During the construction, Poli and his team were very impressive. They paid attention to every step and prepared well for the city inspections. The work quality is great and meets our expectations. Our new bathroom showers look amazing. We can't wait to use them! His team provided one of the best customer services we have had so far, and they even spent some time at the end of the day cleaning up the work area. Overall, it has been a great experience working with Poli and his team. We will certainly recommend them to our friends, and won't hesitate to work with them again in the future! Thank you, Poli! read more

Sal and his team did a great job with our garage remodel. They gave us a competitive bid and were very flexible with timing to accommodate my schedule. Sal was very responsive to my questions through the project. They installed drywall, fixed shelves, a custom mudroom area, added an attic and recessed lights, epoxied the floor, replaced an old window, installed a new sink, and moved our washer and dryer to a more sensible location. Everything looks great and our garage is so much brighter and more functional now. read more

We chose QA builders for our 2.5 bathroom remodel. And we will choose them for every future project. We have known Sal for years as he worked with us during our first project of expanding our main closet. We absolutely fell in love with him as he was more concerned about our budget than we were! Any issue that came up, he handled before we even knew about it. He is honest, cheerful, and can multitask like no other! He is quite the problem solver and possesses common sense which I feel is a lost art these days! QA builders is an amazing team of professionals that produce impeccable work and take pride in what they do. We cannot say enough about the intricate tile work and their attention to detail in all of our bathrooms. Looking forward to working with them on future projects! read more

I highly recommend QA Builders for any remodel, I worked mostly with Sal and Poli who did an amazing job clearly explaining the process, breakdown of the cost, and the scope of the work. I had my kitchen remodeled with them and Poli made the process very easy, the employees were courteous and professional. The also were willing to work with the HOA to get the project started. They knew places where I could get additional materials I needed and where to get the best prices. Poli was extremely responsive and gave me updates on the project. I'm thankful that I found them and I'm glad they were able to work on my project. read more

QA did a great job on my bathroom project! Great communication, timely delivery, reasonably priced and very good quality. Would definitely use again. read more

QA Builders remodeled a bathroom that was in dire need of repair. They handled everything from tiles, lighting, plumbing. They installed a tub, vanity, and other finished materials that I got to choose (I got most of my materials from Home Depot). While picking out finished materials, Sal provided me with real-time feedback over text providing the pros and cons of different items I was considering. Jesse and Federico managed the daily onsite operations and were able to field inquiries from neighbors in the condo complex, pick up large items up from Home Depot, coordinate with the city inspectors during the holiday time period when it was tricky to schedule-- they went above and beyond to get the project complete and were able to answer all of my questions along the way. I looked for many quotes on this bathroom remodel and received a competitive, fair market rate for the project in Santa Clara County. I highly recommend QA Builders for any remodeling projects you are looking to complete! I will be looking to work with them for future projects in other parts of the unit. read more
