Had a great experience at this woman-owned nail shop at the end of 2022. I was trying to set up an appointment at my regular shop, but after hearing the busy signal a million times, I realized it was the day before New Year's Eve... Everybody was trying to get in! Took to Yelp and found Puyallup Nails and got someone to answer, and she had an appointment same day. Score! Puyallup Nails is located on the outskirts of downtown Puyallup and very easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled! There's street parking right outside of the shop which I was lucky enough to snag. The shop is really small and there was only one woman working. Definitely a cozier space than I'm used to, but it was great for a fill! Service was great and Kim was really friendly and made lots of conversation during my appointment. My nails turned out great and she saved me from the ick feeling of having overgrown nails. I'll definitely keep Puyallup Nails as an option in my book for future appointments. read more

Kim, owner is very nice and sweet. My daughter, Kaylah and I came in to have a manicure done. I had the French tip. Kaylah had the shellac. This was my first ever manicure. Never really cared to have it done. I'm rough with my hands do the nails would break or tear LOL! I have it a shot and it's not bad at all. She did great. We would return again. read more

The only reason I am leaving a review is because of this experience I had today. My sister and I went here we just moved right in Puyallup and the reviews looked good. It's fairly small not that that is bad but there's only two pedicure chairs so our fault for assuming they had more, I thought we'd be able to get ours done at the same time. The lady DID NOT I repeat DID NOT clean any of the brushes I watched her use on another woman's feet. She barely scrubbed the bowl. My mother got a fungi from this exact reason!!!!!!!!!!!! This place is very hard to find but once you do you will not be disappointed. The owners nail is Kim and she is very nice. I went and got a regular pedicure and she was very quick. A heads up, if you're looking for a spa experience with all of the whistles and bells this is not it. But, if you're looking for a place that big on quality and customer service then this is the place to go. I will definitely come back if I'm looking to get something done in a timely fashion. I was picky about how wide the French tips of my shellac manicure were, and she was compliant & patient. Parking might be a challenge; she doesn't have her own lot, but there's an alley next to the salon with a lot and on street parking about the corner. I hate to be the only one who isn't raving about this place, but I have to be honest as I rely on Yelp a lot when trying to find new places to go. I've been trying to find a good nail salon in the area after recently moving here from Northern Virginia. After seeing such good reviews I decided to try this place out. I drove by the hole in the wall salon wondering if it was even safe to go into and decided I would give it a try, despite the looks from the outside. Kim did my "gel manicure". The selection of colors is very minimal, the interior of this place is dirty, old, un kept. Kim was nice, helped me achieve the color I wanted since they don't carry any newer colors. The reason I give this place 2 stars is lack of care of attention to detail. See my pictures I uploaded. Not cleaned up, not well done. This is not skin in the pics, it's the dried up product that was not removed and under my nails is the debris from the drill used to shape. I have to sit here and pick all around my nails to clean them up. When I go get my nails done, I want a relaxing, calm experience and this was far from it, unfortunately. read more

And that's exactly what it feels like waking in, a very small and welcoming setting. This woman (Kim) is a horrible nail Thecnician she did a horrible job on both mine and my daughter's nails!! She padded the bill without telling us she was going to charge us more for what she did.. my daughter said several times she did not want a fill, she just wanted one nail fixed, Kim decided to take others off that my daughter did not think needed it and she had it messed up before she could say anything about it! Then she went on and did a fill on her anyway! And the work she did looked horrid!! On my nails I wanted just a fill...which was 15.00, she did that, then when she went to paint my nails she just gave me a pallet of different colors of nail colors and I picked out one.. I went to wash my hands and when I came back she said she did not have that color but she had another one that was just about the same she showed me the color, I said fine.. when we got all done she charged my daughter 35.00 and me 30.00. I said that doesn't make sense your fill is only 15.00 she said well your polish was Jell, thats 15.00 too. I said i didn't ask for jell, well said this was fine, I said well the color was fine, I didn't know it was he'll and you did not tell me, I've never had jell before. I would not have said fine, I am a senior and I live on social security and I can't afford that. She still made me pay for it and I will never ever go back there again she was just padding our bills to make more money off of us! And she did a horrible job!!! Also the shop was filthy dirty and unorganized!! I have been in the beauty industry for 45 years I know how things should be in a salon, this is the worst I have ever seen!!! read more
