I had my pedicures done over a 2-year period at Danny's Nails without a problem until my last visit there . I ended up getting a horrific infection in my right great toe . Terrible. Went to get my nails done with my friend, the day before my vow renewal. And they didn't clean any of their instruments or tools. I paid for a full set and pedi, and they didn't do my cuticles or lotion, they filed my acrylics down at the base of my nails, the next day i basically needed to get a fill. They seemed rude and in a rush ( we were the only ones in there.) My friend also got a mani pedi and the lady kept asking about her personal life and would make a judgmental comment about it... and now my cousin in law has signs of a STAFF INFECTION. This place doesn't like to service African Americans, Blacks are not welcome! I had an appointment and I waited 15 minutes before getting in a service chair, about 4-5 minutes later a White woman walked in and Tanya (nail lady asked if she had an appointment the lady replied no so Tonya then ask me if I could wait. I said no I will go somewhere else. She said I'll do it now. She began working on my nails and purposely snatched off half my nail, causing it to bleed. She made it clear that the other lady was a regular customer, so I then said I'll just leave. What do I owe you? Tanya replied just leave as I walk to the door she said blacks are the worst. I will never go there again or recommend it to anyone. Don't know the name of the lady that did my nails. But she was wearing a pin on her shirt. She did the best job I have ever had on my nails. I went to one salon when they opened and I would have had to wait half hour. Nope. So I came here. Best one I have had. She took her time made she this was what I wanted which everything was amazing. Exact shape, length I wanted. She was amazing. I hope every one in the shop is just like the lady I had. Amazing. Best salon I've been too and I will definitely be coming back. Danny's is close to home and the comments were positive so after driving by 100's of times it was time to give them a try. OMG they did an outstanding job on my pedi, the salon was very very clean, all artists were friendly, especially the owner and the gal that did my piggies was super. I've gone thru chemo so I have to be extra careful, they understood my concerns and accommodated my request. My normal gal went on vacation and she may have lost a customer. Went in with my mom and sister to get nails done for wedding. I was looking for a specific look which I had a picture of and I was torn between the same color but one was gel and one was powder I asked the girl what she liked better and she said she didn't know. She placed the acrylic nail on my left middle finger wrong and then she ripped it off and when I flicked back from the pain she asked if it hurt, and I was like YES! then she used the machine to file it down some and she filed to much and I could feel the burn on my nail bed and pulled back my hand again. My sister had a hard time communicating with her about what shape of nail she wanted so my sister showed her a picture and she still got it wrong. The shape and smoothness of my nails turned out but my sisters nails were bumpy and still sticky when the guy came over and told her that she was done all dry but she wasn't and they were just trying to rush her out of the chair to make room for customers coming in. My sister and I both did not get a soak, cuticle trim or lotion on our hands. When I was done with my pedicure the guy left to start on a another couple and it took me 10 minutes to get someone's attention to ask if I could get some sandals so I could leave. After I had sat there 15 minutes to let them dry. My mom was told by her lady that she charged her wrong and ask that my mom put $15 for the tip to correct for her mistake, my mom was charged more to begin with and she just got a basic mani and pedi while my sister and I got acrylic set and we paid less then she did. The facility itself was dirty and gross. I'm pregnant and had to go to the bathroom twice and the first time I noticed that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, there were spider webs in all the corners with visible spiders and the second time the seat was left up with pee all over the seat and there had been no male customers in the salon except for the men that worked there. I really wanted to give this place a try because everyone rants and raves about it, after our experience I have no idea why. Will never go back here no matter how much someone tells me how great they are. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

I've also had my nails done by another lady here, not sure what her name is. But they turned out terribly the shape was off, too much acrylic on a few nails that got on my skin by the cuticle and when she painted them it got on my skin and on my cuticles as well. I have been going here for over a year now and I love them more than ever! I was in shock when I read the review by Janice and really felt the need to do an update. This is how confident and how much I believe in this establishment. I have always been treated like family. My mother, 20+ of my coworkers, and 30+ of my friends ALL now go to see Nancy and Danny. All of whom have been going to see them for up to 8 years! I had lived about 45 mins away and still would drive the distance because they are seriously the best. I strayed a few times becaus I was limited on time and I will never do that again. I ask for designs, jewels, acrylic colored powder, specific top coating, just a ton of difficult things. Other salons charge me $45 plus an extra $5 per finger,$5 for coating,$5 per jewel...just outrageous to spend every 2 weeks. Danny's have never charged me over $45 for my nails. Ever! They even give me a break when I also get pedicures, waxes, and brows. Price isn't everything. So my next point is quality. I use my hands so much and I work where everyone gets to see my hands so I expect to look prestine, classy, and beautiful. I always had a huge issues with breaking a nail at least one of them a week. And by a week the grow out was just hideous and uneven. $75 and a week later I'm ragged. At Danny's I have never had a nail break in the last year except when I went to other salons the couple times and their sets broke. I can honestly stretch out my fills because my nails are still shiny, beautiful, clean and even after 2 weeks! Which saves me money with going less often. They are artists who take pride in their work. My next issues is time. I am the kind of person who has a very busy life. I make appointments when I can but I also end up just trying to find a stretch of time to fit in nails and just walk in. With appointments they have ALWAYS taken me in as priority over Walk ins. Only those who had earlier appointments go in before me. I am seated within 1-5 minuets and started on within that time frame as well. Not only are they super timely with getting me started I walk out of there within 45-60 mins with perfection!!! When I walk in even on the busiest of hot summer days and every woman and girl wanting their nails and toes does I have not sat over 15-20 mins before being worked on. Anyone who has ever gone to any other salon knows walk ins can often wait (Very Often) 60-120+ mins. You are spoiled by Danny's with just how fast they get you in the chair and started. I appreciate this SO much I am a 28 year old mother of 3 boys, 2 stepchildren, I work, and I am a part time student. So every moment of my life is allocated. My stepdaughter is treated to a Mani pedi and color very often and they are so great with her and very timely. They also have a new woman who can do nails and she is great. For Halloween I came up with this multi colored acrylic design incorporating hand painted designs and gems and she did a phenomenal job! DO NOT PASS UP GOING TO DANNY'S!! If that negative review has you wanting to pass them up PLEASE DON'T! They are a rare gem especially with so many nails salons on every corner I feel as though I found the pearl in a bed of oysters. Give them a chance and like the 60+ people I PERSONALLY know you will never want to go anywhere else. On a side note the only time I have ever heard them ask someone to come tomorrow is when I have been there 1-5 mins to closing and the client walks in wanting 60-120 mins worth of work done. You have to keep in mind that everyone has families that they want to return to. Not only that but it costs a business money to stay open. Labor, electricity, ect. You can't walk into a hair salon even an hour before closing and expect to have them cut color and style your hair. They also ask you kindly to return because they do not want to rush they want you to have THE BEST quality and experience. But if you tell them you are not able to come back they WILL 100% take you in. It's merely a suggestion to come back and they are such great people that they will take you in even at 6:59. I was there on Friday and someone came in as they were locking the doors. She had been working overtime and wasn't able to fit in any other day. They gladly sat her and did their magic. But if you come in at 6:59 all chairs and tubs are full they know you are going to have to wait and then take 45+ mins to be worked on its logical that they ask you to return tomorrow. This is the worst place I have EVER been. Not only did they mess up my design but also laught about it. Besides that I ask for uv. Gel and they put shalak on it but charged me for the gel. I payed $40 for nails that look like crap. I walked out of their crying because I felt so humiliated. Both the lady with 3 fingers and Danny kept looking and pointing at my messed up "design" and just laught their butts off. Nancy is great and so is Tommy (at doing nails) What they aren't great at is, keeping long term customers. Appointments mean nothing. The almighty dollar is all they care about. I've stayed in the water for up to an hour waiting for my pedicure while they take walk ins left and right knowing I have an appt for a fill. Only to be told they can't do my fill today I had an appointment with Nancy for my daughters 15th birthday. Fill set and a pedi. (big dance coming). When I arrived they ignored me and quickly got her in a pedi chair. Nancy quickly left the scene and my daughter was ushered to another person for her full set. My daughter texted me and explained what happened and when I arrived, Tommy wouldnt even look at me. Last time...I have finally learned my lesson. read more
