Took the polish off myself same day and put a clear polish

Been coming here for six month, gave them 5 stars on Google but my last appointment was awful. I made clear what I wanted in my appointment notes and when I came in (manicure and french tips), they said they couldn't do it how I wanted it so they did it their way on one finger and it looked horrible. I panicked because I had reservations and an important night planned and asked to just do a solid color. The nail polish they have looks like garage sale polish from the 90s and it turned orange and had a disgusting texture that was super visible. I was devastated that I didnt have time to take it off before I went out and spent the whole night trying to hide my hands while the rough edges of my nails ripped my lace dress. I used to paint my nails myself often and I've never had them look so bad. I didn't feel like she was offering solutions or anything helpful and I wish I would've just left. It was super stressful. I didn't ask for anything crazy. I guess if you're not getting gel, go somewhere else. They do the gel jobs beautifully, tho.

They were very friendly, offered a drink as well. They were gentle on my nails which was nice and the girl who did them got the shape I wanted perfect. It is clean inside and the they have a huge selection of colors. They offer a 5% discount if you pay cash, and have a points rewards system. This is my shop of choice now!

Honestly the best experience I've EVER had at a nail salon. So kind, CLEAN and thorough!!! The design I asked for matched the picture exactly, color choice was exact too. My pedicure was so relaxing and she literally did everything, didn't skip any part of it to be faster. Can't wait to return!

I didn't get a chance to ask the guy his name who did my nails, but he did amazing and was super friendly and communicative. The vibe in the shop was nice too, I liked their music and how many options they have as far as colors, designs and 3D art. I will most definitely be an ongoing customer from now on!

Great spot- I work with my hands and don't get my nails done very often but decided to do it for an upcoming trip. Clean, friendly and the staff was happy to explain everything to a novice nail person! Tons of beautiful colors and types of polish. It also has a generally pleasant vibe. Relaxing and unpretentious.

Best nail place I've been to. The attention to detail is unmatched. All working here are so kind and do exactly what I hope for every time. Reasonable prices and somewhere I will not be leaving anytime soon! Easily recommend. Y'all are the best

Not sure if the girl doing the pedicures was new or didn't know how to provide pedicures. I called for an appt. Booked a $65 volcano pedicure for her to rush through the work and do no cuticle work, no pushing no trimming. All that was done was clipping nails, filing and scrubbing heels. The fastest pedicure I think I've ever had. Looks like an old salon and they're trying to rebrand. Meh. Not coming back. Oh yeah plus $15 for gel! So $80 for no pedicure thanks read more

Cute and clean place. Went based on the reviews because I was further away from the normal place that I go in James Center which is really good. I got the $35 pedicure, which is pretty much what I get everywhere. Of course I do not get nail polish. This was the quickest pedicure I've ever had. It almost threw me off guard. The reviews I read said the massage was above and beyond and mine was about 30 seconds per leg. I was not impressed. The entire pedicure lasted about 25 minutes. It felt like a glorified nail cutting. I will not be going back. read more

LOVE the services and staff here! Kyle, who did my full set, did an excellent job. Initially I came in for a fill, but the design I had would still be seen after the fill, so we started fresh. Normally when folks take off the acrylics, it can be rough and uncomfortable, but it was a smooth process for him. No pain for me. Their color inventory is also nicer with more modern styles. The salon gives Zen vibes for sure with its green decor, hence the name of the establishment. Walk ins are welcome, but appointments recommended. I've found a great place and am a returning customer! read more

I used their message service on their website around 8pm a few nights before and they replied quickly to set my appointment up. The salon is very cute and aesthetically pleasing. Nice, clean and calm nail salon. Made an appointment and was seen within less than 5 minutes of my arrival. Was offered refreshment which varies from mimosa, wine, soft drink or tea. My pedicure and manicure were done with great detail and look amazing. I am very pleased with my first visit here. Btw recommend making an appointment rather than walk in since you'll be seen much quicker. read more

I came across monstera nails and was able to get a 5:30 appointment, the services during my appointment included an acrylic removal and new full set. Long story short, I probably found my new favorite nail salon. The nail tech took his time perfecting each nail and is super talented when it comes to designing. 10/10 recommend!! read more

My nails turned out beautifully! I was the only person there for the first few hours so I didn't have to wait for anything! The nail techs were kind and efficient. The reason my rating is not 5 stars is because I wanted a classic manicure in addition to my full set of acrylics but did not receive one. However, it was my first time getting acrylics so I'm not sure what the process normally is. Overall a good experience. read more

Excellent customer service, Kyle went above & beyond. I got in within 20min of calling. The work areas were kept clean. Nice ambiance. Well ventilated! That's what surprised me the most, it didn't smell like acrylic at all! I was already mentally preparing myself to get a headache lol. That did not happen. I was able to relax during a manicure & pedicure for the first time ever, not even kidding. It's usually a stressful experience for me at other places, but the kind staff, the massage and nice ambiance helped a lot. They're also clear on pricing and don't push for you to get extra services. I just wanted something basic this time. Chose the classic plus gel. Kyle did a color sample on my nails too to help me decide. Julie did my nails & did a great job, while Kyle kept checking in to see if I needed something & also kept cleaning the nail salon. Complimentary drinks offered. I just wanted water. There was another staff member doing nail art! Didn't catch his name. We were all watching him work! =) Super cool! I will definitely make this my new go to spot. read more

I stumbled upon this place while I was in the Lakewood area and I am so glad I did! I had my nails done here as well as a pedicure and I must say this place tops EVERY nail salon I have ever been to. They take their time, are very gentle and do not rush you to make sure you are getting the full enjoyable and relaxing experience. I was offered a beverage before I started my service and they constantly checked in on how I was doing. The luxury pedicure with the paraffin, hot stone and foot scrub and massage was so relaxing that I left feeling like I was walking on air. And when I say massage, it's an actual, relaxing foot massage, not like the other places that just smack your calves and rub your leg bone up and down, which is not only awkward, but hurts. The first time I came in was a 15 minute wait even though I had an appointment & it seems like the more you're a regular, the more you get quickly seated. They offer some beverages (coffee, tea, coke, diet coke, bottled water) during your visit as well. I appreciated the quiet and ability to zone out with headphones or keep a conversation with the tech if you wanted to. They also have a punch card and the freebie is a free paraffin wax if you keep visiting. I appreciated how gentle Katie was in removing gelx to minimize damage to my nails as some other places file way too much. My last visit recently, I was relaxing a bit and felt my cuticle sting a bit. Typically I am good keeping up w the cuticle care at home(!), yet I held my hand up to notice and was a bit disappointed Katie gave a quick "sorry" but let it be and did not bother to dress it or put gauze, let alone her acknowledging the error from the jump would have gone over far better. Some time went on and I moved my hand w her shaping my cuticles to prevent that error from happening again and she told me curtly twice to not do that. The vibe was off a bit from that point and I was more than happy to go to my pedicure. That woman, Jenny I believe, was kind the times I had her. I called earlier in the week to schedule an appointment for Saturday at 9:30AM. The doors were actually open a few minutes before my appointment, but I waited until exactly 9:30AM to walk into the shop. The shop is quite small, but it wasn't crowded. There were three people, including myself, getting pedicures at the same time, and one person getting a manicure. There were still staff available if any other customers came in. I requested a French pedicure and was impressed with the results! It was my first time getting a French pedicure, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I'm usually a bit concerned about pedicures because my feet are sensitive and I've been nicked on my toenails a few times at other salons. My total was $57.50 before tip for the pedicure. I'm not entirely sure what type of pedicure I received since I only specified that I wanted a French pedicure with gel polish. I did receive a scrub, oil, wax, and a massage on my feet.

They remodeled, so it looks more updated, but its a whole new staff/company. I had high hopes, but I am so picky and was sad Unique Nails were no longer. I made an appointment the day prior for 9:30am. I had a gentleman as my nail tech, I showed him long oval nails, he glued on my pinky nail crooked so he had to remove the glued nail off and try again. I started to get nervous. My nails took half the time as others in, I'm assuming they are regulars for the new salon. He got acrylic all over my skin around my nails and just left it. I paid $75 plus tip for a full set with chrome finish. When i got home to look at my nails, there is a gap between the fake nail and my nails. Literally every nail was not glued on properly. I was going to go back to see if they would rectify my badly done nails, but I dont think I would go back anyways. Im so sad! Unique Nails was my favorite, i believe Dan was my regular. And now its different, and after the rushed set with acrylic all over my skin, I am saddened. I will not be returning, and I recommend anyone that goes to double check they glued the nail on properly. Make sure they do quality work so you dont end up like me. Im sure I will have to get my nails redone very soon. It took me so long to find a regular spot, now Im back to square one I am not sure if the nail tech was new or not, but I feel like I totally got ripped off.

The repair was for a week later and still charged. So I took my business elsewhere they make alot of money off customers so sure money more important than clients or service i found a family oriented place that does excellent work at affordable prices for same services i loar nails other hand as well after the post. I had my first visit to Monstera Nails and it was fantastic! The workers were super sweet and made sure I was comfortable, even offering me a drink. They carefully removed my old acrylics and did an amazing job on my new set. My nails look absolutely stunning! Ian is so talented. Pictures included is 1 week and 3 days retention.
