Great place to go. They fo a great pedicure and manicure at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this place.

I came here with my mom after reading some reviews to get her very first pedicure. I was definitely anxious since she's a newbie but I'm glad we made the trip. The shop itself is super clean and you can tell it's very well maintained. We were greeted at the door and everyone was incredibly warm and inviting. We both got pedicures but my mom opted to add on a manicure as well. My mom's nail tech (for the pedi) did an absolutely amazing job and took her time making her comfortable from start to finish. As for the manicure, the woman did it simultaneously with her pedicure and that was probably not the best idea . She was on her phone for half of it and didn't even touch her cuticles. To finish, the paint was awful. My pedicure was also super mid which is fine, but the paint was also bad. Thankfully everyone was really friendly and the one pedicure outweighed all else. I regret not getting the name of the nail tech that did my mom's pedicure because she is the real MVP here. read more

I went to VIP Nail Salon to get a full set and unfortunately the experience was pretty disappointing. The customer service was not very welcoming or friendly, which made the appointment feel uncomfortable overall. During my appointment I noticed the nail tips weren't placed correctly on my natural nails and mentioned it to the technician. Instead of properly fixing the placement or explaining anything, she said she would fix it but just layered acrylic over the top. I was charged $90 for my set and it has already started lifting and it hasn't even been 6 days. For that price, I expected much better quality and nails that would last longer. I do like the design they did, but the customer service and durability of the nails didn't match the price. read more

I have gone to this nail place for a very long time since I moved to Spanaway and when I decided to go in today with sweatpants sneakers and a baseball cap with a jacket, and even though the place was full, the lady in front of everyone asked me what did I want and I said a new set and she said not right now in front of everyone! She never stated on how perhaps come back later or anything of a sort she just said not now! Very disappointed and I am pretty sure that she judged me because of the way I was dressed! I will never go there and I will let everyone else know that horrible experience that I had and how she made me feel! I only gave them a one star because at least a couple of the workers there who treated me good when I used to be there took care of me! And even though I used to pay $50, I will always tip them $20! Sometimes even 30! I'm very disappointed! I am a business owner and I know that I would never treat anyone with such audacity! I have been here before and had friendly service but that was a while ago. I was having a great day just got done at the gym, went in to have a standard pedicure with regular polish done but felt like I was bothering the lady. she was very rude, did very little to get cuticles cleaned up, just a quick scrub on bottom of feet ( and that's one of the best parts for me to get your feet smooth) did not do a whole lot, very disappointed and treated badly. So I put 40$ on the counter with a penny for a tip and walked out. I understand having a bad day, we all have experience that but you leave your problems at the door when you are in a customer service industry! Ask for prices before service. They're not clearly posted. I spent $86 base price for a basic mani-pedi. It seems high for the lowest level services they offer. They also charged me for the throw away emery board and nail buffer salons typically send home with you. The salon employee said that all salons charge extra for them. No they don't. That stuff is included in the cost of service. So, I declined and said I don't need the file (if I'm being charged extreme for it). She wouldn't let me decline and said it's for me to bring back the next time I come in so they can re-use it on me... WTF?! Never in my life have I heard of such a thing. Im not sure why they have such a low rating! I really liked it here. I think a common misconception is that all nail salons can do the crazy, intricate stuff you see on "nails on 7th", Instagram, etc. I understand this being in the service industry myself so if I want such things I find a place that offers them- not your average nail salon. I came in for a gel mani and a pedi and the service was awesome! They are attentive, sweet, the whole 9 yards!! Clean, everyone was wearing face masks... yes, the prices have gone up slightly but guess what- so have the cost of health/medical products since covid. Gloves cost 3x what they used to! If prices stayed low/the same they would need to cut corners when it comes to cleanliness so please consider that before judging them based off of price... it's to protect you and them. Very friendly service, but didn't get what I asked for. I'm pretty sad and just wanna go get them removed. Paid $73 for a fill, two fixed nails, little hearts as a design and specifically just my cuticles to get cut (which they called a manicure). She showed me the first heart she did and it was tiny and cute and then they just progressively got larger, and deformed. The mail person I had was pretty good up u til the polish application. When she was done, I noticed it wasn't even, she'd missed the she's, and it basically looked very amateurish. Not friendly at all. When you walk in, they don't greet you. They all just literally stare at you until you ask if they have time for a service and they say "no, we are busy!" With an attitude. This place is amazing. SO professional and SO clean. They even give you your own file and buffer to bring back to ensure cleanliness. I got a VIP Bomb pedi and a gel manicure! I loved both! My nails came out amazing and both ladies took their time to ensure I was relaxed and that the nails came out flawless!! I felt comfortable the entire time as the ladies were so nice and engaged in conversation. And the best part is that they have a cool rewards program for you to earn points towards discounts! Never coming here again. Price is unreasonable and I asked for an ombré with NO GLITTER. They suggested to put glitter on even when I said no like 3-4x and put it on to cover up the steaks on my nail. The polish on the tip of my nail was also way too thick. Overall disappointed. read more

Walked in at lunch time and was immediately greeted and asked what service I wanted. I only needed a pedicure, I was directed to the polish wall which is expansive. I choose gel since I was going to a Cali and would see some beach action. There is an extra $15 charge for that but it's to be expected. Once seated I was offered water, which I declined. I was also offered to sign up for their rewards program and given 20% off of my service. I choose the silver pedicure which was $35. I have finally found a place that will do decent cuticle clean up and cleaning under the nails along with getting the impacted nail (if any) from the sides of my toes. The only downfall was that her nippers were super sharp. This will be my new nail place as it's close to home, light and airy, and it's big!! read more

I will give this spa a 3 for now. The service was going good until, the lady doing my pedicure nic my right toe. But. I give her credit she did put antiseptic on it. She did a good job. My manicure was good until my pinky finger was cut. The over all experience was okay I will keep an eye on my cuts, but I will give them one more chance to see if my experience is better. I had my nails done by Michelle. She was very meticulous and did an awesome job. The inside of the salon was spacious and clean. There are plastic dividers between you and the nail tech. This was my first time here and it was a great first experience. If I lived in the area, I would absolutely come back more! I definitely recommend. My fiancé and I have been looking for a nail shop closer to our home for our every other week pedicures. We tried out VIP and LOVED it! The staff were so nice and welcoming, the space is absolutely gorgeous, and the service itself was wonderful. We were even offered water and given our own file and buffer for future (and cleanly) use! They have a large menu of pedicure and manicure options (as well as waxing). Their prices are very reasonable and they have a reward system set up for regular customers. Our specialists gave spectacular massages and did a fantastic clean up of our toes and feet. All of the supplies were fresh and clean (straight out of sterilization) and the stations were spotless. VIP will definitely be our new regular go-to for drop in services. read more

I decided to go here because I was in the area going home. I made an appointment and there will able to fit me in at 1 pm. When I arrived they were very careful with making sure everyone follows the rules with covid. They did a great job doing it, the made sure you wore mask upon entry, forehead temp scan and use hand sanitizer. They are keeping their salon covid free! That made me feel very good and comfortable there as soon as I went it - the last place I went to didn't do that..I decided on getting the Sliver Pedicure and a Classic Manicure. I got my pedicure first and let me tell you Neena who did my toes was absolutely the sweetest. She made the whole experience amazing, she was easy going,funny and very nice. She did an fantastic job at massaging my feet. When I was on to my manicure, I told the lady how terrible my nails were because of the arycrlic and she just said its okay and made me feel better lol. I was embarrassed. But I left this place feeling beautiful which I haven't felt in a long time. I have not gotten my nails done in over a year. Just due to how much I work in the Army with my hands. Well this weekend my husband decided to treat me for Mother's Day. So I called over the phone and spoke to someone saying what I wanted exactly. Which was acrylic nails. When I got there, they gave me a male and he was friendly at first. But then I noticed he was changing what I wanted.. all I understood was "this will make your nail grow and be healthier." To be fair, I also didn't understand him much and already felt very uncomfortable bc this doesn't look like it's gonna go well. The thought that was running thru my head the whole time. Long story short, he dipped my nails instead of giving me acrylic. I did say I didn't like them and wanted them changed. He seemed mad about it and tried playing it off for the most part.. but it definitely got to a point where he said "he hates me." Then started yanking my fingers aggressive while laughing to make it seem funny. So I said.. If you don't wanna do them I could go somewhere else. I was not gonna ruin my weekend or get angry! Today was suppose to be a relaxing day for me. All in all, he finished and gave me what I wanted. They look alright, he did burn me a couple times and the nail polish was applied horribly!!
