We finally decided to start up a cleaning service after moving to Texas 1 year ago. Our poor house never got the scrubbing it needed prior to our stuff moving in. We also did a massive remodel in our tiny master bath which also never got a scrub after the project completion. Needless to say the Purple Fig group had some work cut out for them. My husband met the team in and described them as professional, honest, efficient. They probably finished our house in 2 hours - about 1500 square feet. I was so happy when I got home - everything was clean and sparkly. They even cleaned up our little Ikea vent hood! The masterbath definitely needed some extra love and the ladies did an excellent job. We also really appreciated the small note they left for us. We we like their ecofriendly approach. The products used smelled lovely. And the coordinator, Lauren, was such a joy to work with. Wonderful communication and made every effort to work with our schedule even after I called a little late to confirm the time of the appointment. We've signed up for the monthly service but I'm hoping my hubby is open to every 2 weeks unless he wants to clean in between. read more

We are on a monthly service with Purple Fig and could not be any happier with their service! Our house always feels extremely clean and I'm so impressed with how efficient the crew members are. We have an infant and two cats, so our house is always in shambles until Purple Fig comes in and somehow cleans our entire 3 BR home in 90 minutes... like HOW??? I love walking barefoot in our home after a cleaning and I love that they use all natural, nontoxic products. Just note - there is a slight vinegary smell after the clean, but it dissipates after about 20 minutes. Also, they are a bit more expensive than other cleaning services, but you are paying for nontoxic cleaning products and the fact that they take great care of their staff. These people are wonderful! Booking online was easy, and I got a couple of follow-up phone calls before the visit to make sure we were all on the same page. The cleaning was amazing. They did a fantastic job, and they worked very quickly and professionally, but were also friendly. We enjoyed having them in our house. A crew of four were here for about an hour and a half. A little backstory first. My partner and I just closed on our first home yesterday (8/27). 700ish square feet of classic, old (1951), East Austin bungalow. Saying it's a lived-in home would be an understatement. It's been four months and I'm happy to report that I'm enthralled with this company and their work. They are definitely a little pricier than other cleaning services, but their attention to detail is worth the extra cost. We have two short-haired dogs who shed a lot, so I am very aware of what the team is up against. Nevertheless, the Purple Fig team always make the kitchen floor sparkle and they always do their best with the old tile and fixtures in the bathroom. I've used Purple Fig a few times to help clean a short term rental. They were able to schedule on relatively short notice, which was very helpful. The gals who came to clean were great. So sweet and thoughtful to ask questions about how I liked things to look. And they did a very thorough job cleaning. And the SMELL!! So lovely!! I am sensitive to chemical smells so often use the green cleaners, which don't have much fragrance. Their homemade concoctions were so much better than any of the Green stuff I've bought. Update- I've changed my review as a result of them living up to their guarantee, and there is no reason to hold anything against them. They will live up to their promise, which is very important. As discussed in the original update (in probably too much detail), our experience didn't go fantastic, but we were later reached out to and the situation was rectified beyond expectations, so they deserve the recognition. Thanks for taking taking the time and effort to make it right! Original - We had our house cleaned last week and I must say we were extremely disappointed. While we knew it was one of the pricier options for cleaning, the expectation was you get what you pay for, but this turned out to not be the case at all. My girlfriend originally purchased the cleaning for my birthday, and I was out of town when it took place. As a side note, our house is already super clean, this was strictly to get to the details such as baseboards etc I don't do regularly. Once it was complete, I get a call from Lauren (the gf) saying they missed the countertops in the kitchen and there were still coffee grains and stains etc., which obviously made her upset because she's not OCD like me but still noticed. Skip ahead, she did contact them about that, and someone came back out Friday morning and fixed it up a bit (that lady was good). I didn't get home until Thursday night, and the first thing I noticed was our bedroom basically wasn't cleaned. The bookshelves still had lots of dust, the night stands weren't cleaned at all, the fan still has a coat of dust. Also, there was a trail of liquid droppings of some kind throughout the garage that weren't there before that I had to go back and clean. We didn't even bring any this up because we were basically over it at this point and didn't want them coming back twice. Fast forward to Friday after our kitchen is redone, we get the invoice for $380 to clean a less than 2000sqft house that required rework and the master bedroom still wasn't that clean. Lauren emailed questioning this cost, as it was the max amount possible in our quote, and what I got out of the response was basically 'sorry you didn't really like it, but we give our employees full benefits.' While that's nice, as a customer, that's not my concern. Getting my money's worth in cleaning is my concern, and in this case it wasn't even close. Also, we found out it was at least one of their first days on the job. We could have gotten any experienced cleaner for half the cost. It actually made Lauren super sad because she tried to do something nice for my birthday and ended up feeling like we got ripped off. She said she wasn't going to review online and contacted directly, but I couldn't help myself because I do feel it's not fair. I will give credit where credit is due and say the lady that came back did a great job on the kitchen, and the guest bath/room area was done well. I know this is a long response, and I do feel bad, but I don't like feeling ripped off, and didn't appreciate the response when we contacted directly because it was basically a moral guilt trip. You have to deliver if you are going to charge this much, and in my experience it wasn't even close to meeting expectations. read more

Reasonable prices, excellent service and easily made arrangements. I had them do a move out clean for my house; my tenant had already started moving in. Purple Fig worked through the mess, and even replaced some jars my tenant had used for glasses that broke during the clean. I appreciated a follow-up call and the fact that though the job was estimated to take three hours and it took three and a half, I wasn't charged for that extra thirty minutes. One of my cats just walked on the laptop and deleted my first review.... ugh Here we go again... My second cleaning with Purple Fig is coming up next week, thank goodness because the house needs it and I miss the wonderful smell of their products. I was going to write a review anyway but the owner sweetened the deal by giving me $20 off my next cleaning just for doing what I was going to anyway... eventually. It's not easy finding a cleaning company that is trustworthy and that you can feel good about. I found their website and I like that they pay their staff a fair wage and that they offer health insurance. I scheduled my cleaning several weeks in advance so I could get the date and time I needed. I don't really feel like they charge much more than companies I've used in the past. I thought it was fair. On the date of my cleaning I had been prepping for them for hours it seems. You don't realize how much clutter there is until you start putting it all away. I have quite a few animals and they all had to be crated and otherwise out of the way. The two women were right on time which was very nice. One of my cleaners was actually the owner. Seems someone was sick and she was covering. Isn't that what teams do? She could have cancelled but instead she came on over and did it herself. It was also very nice that we could talk about what my priorities were and that I needed them to have it all wrapped up by a certain time. I was home the whole time so occasionally we would chat about how things were going and some things we could do the next time. It was really nice everyone communicating in English. I didn't worry they were talking about my furry & dusty house in another language. ha. Sort of a joke, but really not. The owner even helped me with recommending particular things be cleaned a certain way. When you are used to living with cat fur and dust sometimes your perception of a clean house gets fuzzy. Having a clean house is really nice and feels good. I enjoyed the weeks following the cleaning and had incentive to do some things each day to help keep it that way. I appreciate the refund but still have never had to clean my house after a maid has come. Not really feeling like its unrealistic to have more than 2 rooms and a bathroom done in 2 hours with no dusting. I feel that part of cleaning a room is completing it and there was no dusting or surface cleaning of any kind. Although our priorities were met it seemed not unrealistic to have more done in 2 hours, I know I've cleaned my entire 3 bedroom home in 2 hours. My husband and I are working parents of a one year old and haven't had the entire house clean at one time since we moved in. After our cleaning with the Purple Fig, the house was sparkling. We sent an email inquiry and got a prompt response, were able to schedule quickly, received a 30 minute window for arrival (much better than the 2 hour windows from the other companies) and the team completed the job this week. They arrived on time, were pleasant and efficient, and did a great job, paying special attention the floors as we asked. The house smelled great - like peppermint - after they were done. I appreciate their use of natural cleaning products and I'm glad they were also willing to use a particular cleaner for stainless steel that I prefer. We have used this company for a couple of years now. Overall, they do a great job. All the women have been sweet, friendly, and do a good job cleaning. Most of them are students or have other pursuits. I love the fact that the company only uses green products, so I don't have to worry about my toddler inhaling noxious fumes. I also really like that they provide health insurance to their employees. The only issue I have is that they charge by the hour, not the square footage. So price is very dependent on how efficiently a person cleans that particular day, and how much they have to do. A couple of times, the price was too high for me. I was considering using another service to save money. Then Erin came and cleaned--she is terrific and efficient! We will be using her from now on. I highly recommend her! read more

We have used TPF twice, and have recommended them to coworkers and friends. Not only do they do a FANTASTIC job, but they consistently go the extra mile. This most recent time we did the Barton Springs clean and the team left the baseboards and windowsills of our house like brand new (we had never cleaned them in the 2+ years we've lived there). Our favorite are the little touches. They made up the doggie blankets and put them neatly in their beds! Since many weeks had passed before the cleaning was done, Rene worked diligently for four hours instead of three. I forgot that it was for only three hours and he let the "time get away from him" so to speak.The Purple Fig didn't charge me for the extra hour!
