I've been using One Step Clean since October 2023 after a very disappointing experience with a local chain cleaning company. The clean my 3 bed 2 bath house in about 2 hours. Emma (owner) reaches out to me regularly to make sure I don't have concerns and that I'm happy with the service her teams are providing. There's always at least one person who speaks English so I feel heard and understood and that my needs are met. I also appreciate that Emma sends me a reminder text a few days before my appointment and has been flexible when I've needed her to be. Also of note to me, I have a very old septic system that we are babying to get it to last longer and Emma & her teams have been understanding and respectful of that by using septic friendly products and we very much appreciate that. I highly recommend Emma and her team in AuStin! They met my high expectations with superior cleaning completion, thorough walk-thru, communication, reliability, and good pricing. I reached out for an apartment move-out cleaning on Yelp with a quick turn around. I received responses from about six different services; however, Emma responded quickly and personally, asking all the right questions. Her prompt communication and ability to lock in the cleaning at a great price shortly after I made the request had me sold. Eva and Alissa showed up to clean the apartment not only on time but reached out and let me know they could arrive early (which really helped out). In order to make sure we were on the same page and expectations were properly set, Emma stopped by for an in-home estimate and we were able to agree on a plan for the cleaning. They let me know when they were almost done so I could review the job and were happy to hit a couple of spots again when I asked. Emma went out of her way to make sure my specific needs were met, I had just hosted 12 people at my house and had a tons of sheets/towels/laundry that needed to be done. She spoke with me beforehand and let me know that to do every load would take too long (totally understandable) but that if it was washed and dried they would fold it and put it away and they'd also do one load of laundry for us as well. I hate to leave a bad review; this is legitimately my first negative review after years on yelp, but I think it's necessary to leave. I just started my own airbnb business and had reached out to One Step Clean. When I reached out, I explained that I was not going to be physically at the home, but explained that the home needed to be cleaned and the comforter needed to be washed and changed before my guests arrived. One Step Clean responded quickly sent photos of the rooms when they were done so I had assumed that everything went well. I just got off the phone with my first guests who stayed there and they gave me the following feedback: - the home didn't feel very clean; there was dust in the corners of the home - the blinds were dirty -the comforter was dirty - worst of all the laundry room + the bedroom smelled like mold because wet towels had been left in the washing machine. the guests had to re-wash This is unacceptable. The blinds I can understand to some extent because it was not a deep clean. However, they left soaking wet towels in the washing machine, which made the entire unit smell like mold! I wish that I had a positive experience and review, but based on my recent experience, I would not recommend this company. read more

The owner, Emma, and our cleaners were great! We've hired cleaners for the same job twice in the past and had those "horror story" results. (Among so many other things, the previous cleaners underestimated the time needed and didn't finish an entire room and even the "cleaned" rooms had a lot missed). Emma gave us a good time estimate and even worked with us to prioritize what we needed done since we were asking for the bottom of the time estimate, so that if more time was needed, at least the important things were cleaned and we could hire them for a follow up cleaning if needed. And very importantly, it was easy to communicate with both the owner and cleaners. Emma even called to talk so that she could let her cleaners know our needs/expectations. Another thing I loved was that the cleaners were proactive--when they were close to finishing, they had us check over the parts that were already cleaned for them to touch up if needed. Most cleaners wait until the very end, so if there was anything, it's kind of rushed/awkward because they're waiting on you to look around and they'd end up staying longer than you/they accounted for, etc. The only piece of constructive criticism is it seemed like the vacuum used wasn't very effective on the carpeting, but I'd gladly have them use our vacuum. read more
