My husband and I needed a storage unit at the last minute for a relative's belongings and Purely Storage came to our rescue! I spoke to Miriam, one of the lovely ladies who works in the front office, earlier this week via telephone and she made a reservation for me! The staff was incredibly personable, friendly and understanding of our situation. There's a deal going on right now: it's 1/2 off the first 3 months for a 10 foot x 15 foot unit. We were shown a visual sample of what it would look like and we obtained our unit quickly. They only offer a storage unit to be placed under one person's name for various reasons, but the access code and extra key can be given to whom you choose. There is a $25 charge to obtain a new set of keys if you lose them. You can also manage your monthly payments online. Very convenient and hassle free! Revised review to one star as the individual who threatened me is still employed there, which is unacceptable. Paid my rent on time every month for 5 1/2 years. Was told that my credit card expired and if I paid it today that it wouldn't be charged a late fee. I drove to the unit and they had already locked me out. I was told it would not be late the next day. when I go inside to complain, I get confronted with this individual who threatens to fight me. I gave 1 star because i came in this location on a Sunday and saw that they made it a parking area for used BMW cars. It looks like someone is working on the cars. They are always about cleanliness of the surrounding thats why i got a storage here, but i dont know what happened now. Its very disturbing to see old cars. Does the company knows about this? That their storge is being used as a parking of broken cars? This is so ridiculous. read more

Do not store your items here at Purely Storage Atwater. I had my unit broken into only after 10 days of having my items stored here. It has been months and I still haven't received any insurance money. I call and no one answers or I just get the run around. The workers here have been of no help and at this point I feel like I basically paid to have my stuff stolen from me. After my items where stolen I found out that the camera's didn't work properly and I was told by other customers that people that live on the other side of the facility are known to jump the wall and break into units. Wonderful Storage Facility! AMONG THE BEST IN TOWN! I was looking for the best rates, with the best security and found this place! I met Breeana in the office who showed me the different storage units and told me about the 24/7 cameras and the requirements to enter my new unit so my household items would be kept safe. The facility has several security cameras and door alarms that alert security immediately. This place is very clean and the units are too. Great variety of sizes and Breeana explained everything very well to me and my family. We are very confident and comfortable with this storage facility. Don't bother coming here. I've been here for three years. The place is dirty and the management would rather argue with you then discount the rent. They said that they would match the rent in the Antelope Vslley and last year they said only in Lancaster. I found a place in Rosamond that was cheaper and they told me to pound sand. Then I found a place on Lancaster that was cheaper and they said it was too far away. It's only 4 miles from their facility. The only thing the management and Orlando care about is your rent check. Go find yourself another storage rental. I am. I hate getting gouged. read more

i am a tenant at this storage unit and i went in to use the restroom last week, i have been debating on not saying something but it has been bothering me a lot, when i went in the red head at the desk 1 was not wearing a mask and was completely rude. When i went into the bathroom i could hear her talking to whoever on her phone about how i was annoying and talking horrible about her co worker cynthia which i have had nothing but great experiences with cynthia. She was talking about how her co worker needs to stay in her place and constantly oversteps. I was very uncomfortable when leaving the restroom and walked back to my unit because of the comments she made while i was in there. I dont know if she knew if i could hear her or not but i found it very unprofessional and i dont think she should be working with customer service because of how rude she is or i think that she should constantly have someone there with her so that they can keep her in line. read more

These guys are great. I've been there for less than a year and their prices are equal to or better than what I would find anywhere else. I chose it because of the friendly staff and the clean facilities. Like any other storage place that runs specials, you have to understand what you're getting into and can't complain when they explain it to you. I moved into a larger unit and every aspect of their move-in special was so fair and painless that I went back in and signed up for a longer term because I couldn't see any other place being as clean, friendly or trouble free as this place. Some decisions have to be approved by managers but they are always very fast to respond. I hope these guys never change. read more

If I could give this place a half star I would but I'm sure they don't deserve that. The newer management that is in place doesn't know what they're doing and the condition of the site has really gone downhill. My last few visits to get items from storage included a homeless woman with no shoes on hanging around in the site panhandling (she asked me for money while I was putting things in storage), the essence of marijuana filled the air during my visits, trash all over the ground & last but not certainly least vomit next to the door where my storage was located. Oh wait, did I tell you about the woman that was in the process of going to the bathroom in the not-so-taken-care-of landscaping as I was leaving? My eyes still hurt... I do not recommend this location, too many staff in the office that don't know what they are doing & I never get the same person twice. Absolutely horrible!! I had the smallest unit there which is a 5 x 5 and only needed to keep a few very personal items like my deceased child's last photos and his baby blanket just until I find a permanent home. I had my things there for a 3 months and would make a point to go there every month just to check on my unit. When I went there in march I noticed that the lock was off and I was questioning what was going on since I was current on my payments . The office staffed said that they had had break ins in January and had noticed that my lock was off and all of my stuff was gone . They also said that there was a day in January that my lock was missing and they called and left me a message. This was not true . I never received a voice mail and I had gone to my unit a couple days after this alleged date and everything was fine. Their story was just not adding up . In addition to all of this their cameras don't seem to go back very far in regard to the date. A police report has been filed but I'm not sure what can be done about my missing items since it's something thats irreplaceable and sentimental for me. I was informed by the office staff that they gave me a unit where all the homeless people have units . Even with camera , that does not make me feel safe. If I could give a 0 stars I would but this app makes you at least 1. read more

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT do business with this place. My daughter had her things removed from her unit. It mysteriously had the lock removed and everything in side was gone. We contacted the office to be told they had been in the progress of updating there system and therefore there was no video. I ask for the corporate office phone number so I could contact them. I was told they could not give that out. I found the owner who is Brad Lund 661-369-8168. I called him, he confirmed they had upgraded the system but there should only be a 15 minute down time. they have been in the progress of now reviewing the tape. I spoke with Orlando the manager this morning to be told there system was full at that time and so there was no footage available. I also mentioned the fact that my daughter was paid through April and she should have her money refunded. Again, was told they don't do refunds due to having month to month contracts. I fully believe this is an inside job, as we are certain who broke in to the unit and they are covering for him. read more
