Ever heard the phrase, "it's not what you say, it's how you say it"? I just started using Nova Storage this weekend, the gentlemen helping me was very attentive and did not mind taking me to various storage units to see which one fit my needs best. I started moving boxes in yesterday and today I had the unpleasant experience of meeting the manager, John Farley. You see, I am going through a very difficult time in my life and the last thing I am thinking about is rules and regulations for a storage unit. When I stopped by today, a man in a truck was entering his code to go in, I followed suit since I didn't know I was renting a penthouse at the Bellagio and needed to read my entire electronic contract. I open my unit and start pulling boxes in, to the best of my abilities and half way through the task, a man in a wrinkled uniform polo confronts me and noted that I triggered my alarm and he needed to see my ID, I was dumbfounded especially after he said he needed to write an incident report. Frankly, I felt like I was being detained by ICE! I told him I was almost done and my purse was in my car and he waited for me outside. I gave him my ID and told him I did not know protocol included me having to wait for the person in front of me to enter their code, go through, have the gate close and then enter my code to go in as well and I did not see signage anywhere with these instructions. He looked me dead in the eyes and said "did you not read the contract?", using the most demeaning tone you could use. I told him I got the electronic paperwork and had not read the document entirely (if you do, congratulations), I am busy between daily Dr. appointments and work. Anywho, I am writing this because I was treated like a criminal, as a bonus he said that if I'd done this after hours (hours are posted and I am not illiterate), that the police would show up. This man has zero tact or customer service skills...or maybe I look like the average criminal (50 year old Hispanic woman driving a Mini) . I hope the owner reads this and knows what is going on with his manager and maybe sends him to some CS training. If it wasn't because I finished moving all my boxes in, I'd find another place, there are tons around the AV. read more

I was in a pinch and forced to downsize 13 years ago from a one bedroom with a garage (and no car) to a shared living situation. I found this place near my mom's house with rates much lower than the places near me and moved everything in until I could find a new place, then grab my essentials and leave everything else. With the units temperature controlled it was a great place to store my tape collection. Today I reached the tipping point where I simply no longer had enough stuff there to make the monthly bill worth it but should I ever need storage again Nova would be my first choice. read more

But I think they are generally all around good people. Love how clean they keep the facility even the parking areas. Love the prices they are very reasonable. I started renting with nova in October 2017. We rented one of their climate control units for $150 a month. We never had an issue whatsoever. The staff was always friendly and helpful, the hallway to our unit was always kept impeccably clean, and even the fellow renters were always polite and courteous. We did have one billing error in November 2017, but a quick phone call cleared everything up without an issue. The staff was helpful, apologetic and quick to fix their error without complaint or reservation. We never had an issue with bugs and our stuff was never tampered with. In fact, if I recall correctly, the staff never had a key to my unit anyways. My only issue is that there is a small, maybe 2-3inch gap of open wall in the unit we had on either side of the unit and the neighboring unit had placed a few skinny items next to that gap/crack and they would fall into our unit occasionally. We would just push them back through the gap when this happened. But it was never a actual problem, just the only thing I could really nit-pick. We moved our things out at the end of May 2018 and they move-out process was just as smooth, if not smoother, than the move in process. No issues with continued billing; I waited until the monthly pay date to go by before writing this to make sure. We never had a rent increase in the seven months we rented either. I'd gladly recommend Nova Storage to friends and family, they were a pleasure to rent with. read more

They are professional, curteous, and they go above and beyond the call of duty. I was impressed. Will have to spread the word. I have had my unit for about 3 years now and have had no problems. Staff is available whenever needed, and are courteous and helpful. My storage fee has changed one time in these 3 years by $10.00, and I was told in advance of this price increase. I do wish we could access our units later in the night though. I sometimes need to get in mine later then 9pm. That is my only complaint with Nova, hours should be changed to allow access until at least 10pm, or later. read more

Very pleased. I just rented a 7x10 unit and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They waived the last 5 days of the month and just charged me the next month's rent. It is month to month.
