Moving all of that is stressful no matter what but these guys made it genuinely easy. What stood out most was how attentive the team was from the very first minute. They walked in and immediately started asking questions about what needed special attention, how I wanted things wrapped, what order I wanted things loaded. They didn't just grab stuff and throw it on the truck, they actually listened and followed every instruction without me having to repeat myself. As an artist that meant everything to me because I've had movers in the past who treated my paintings like crap. The speed was also impressive!! I fully expected the move to take most of the day but they were efficient without ever feeling rushed or careless. They had a system and worked together well, I was able to finish up some work while they were doing their thing. When we got to the new studio nothing was damaged, nothing was missing, and everything was placed exactly where I asked. The whole experience from start to finish was smooth and professional. If you're in LA and you have valuable or fragile items and you need movers who will actually treat your stuff with care, don't overthink it. Rigos is the move. I'll definitely be using them again. She made the company sound organized, reliable, and worth the price. Unfortunately, what followed did not reflect that impression. Although the company presents itself as a California-based operation with its own fleet, our belongings were transported more than 2,000 miles in what appeared to be a standard rental truck with a trailer attached. Our suitcases were placed loose in the open back of the truck exposed to dirt, weather, and potential theft. They were not transported in a secured moving vehicle, and by the time everything arrived in Florida, several items were dirty and damaged. The delivery process was especially frustrating. My husband was pressured into helping unload everything, yet they still expected a tip afterward, but he did most of the heavy lifting.We were also charged extra to have our items brought to our door, even though the truck could have parked directly in front of the building. The driver simply chose not to because it was inconvenient. We had missing and damaged items, including lamp parts, table legs, and a damaged KitchenAid due to careless handling. While the pickup crew in California was professional, the delivery team was disorganized and rushed. To make things worse, we were told at the last minute that our building supposedly didn't allow Saturday deliveries. The driver said our belongings could either be left on the side of the road or placed into storage at our expense...even though we paid for door to door delivery and were never informed of any restrictions and this is a very long move as is. This was not an inexpensive service, and the experience did not come close to matching the promises made during the sales process. When a company positions itself as premium, the gap between what is sold and what is delivered becomes impossible to ignore especially when they try to charge you extra for every step of the way. I wish my experience had been different, but unfortunately, it wasn't.

Fortunately, we discovered Upstage Concierge and our move was practically stress free. My mother was moving from a large 1-bedroom apartment into a studio apartment at a Senior Community. Trying to figure out what to do with all her furniture, pictures and keepsakes was stressful enough. Yet Robyn and her team came in, assessed her belongings, drew out a map and then we discussed what was staying and what was going for donation. (Did I mention they will pack up and donate your items as well!? No? Well, they will!). Their goal is to take care of everything so that all one has to do is walk into their new home and enjoy. That was the case with my mom. Bed was made, pictures hung, everything unpacked and in its place. And most importantly, mom was happy! The caring and empathy they showed for my mother during this stressful situation was invaluable to us and I couldn't recommend them more!

    We chose this Senior Relocationer because it's name, a couple of recommendations and a brochure…read morethat implied something special in the Design department, also a business owner who talks of her experience as an Interior Decorator. Talked with the owner about "Design" as the reason for choosing her company, she said "I will be there at the day of the move". Talked with her about office furniture that had been assembled in its room, she said "will not be a problem, the movers are experienced". Boxing day = Everything was boxed and office furniture dissembled. Next day = Moving in, Office furniture Poorly reassembled, they came with no tools, drawers opening by themselves because of their slope, they shimmed with cardboard box pieces but still not right, we had to ask maintenance workers at the new location to solve the problem. Boxes that were assigned to the basement were delivered to the apartment, I had to move them myself to their proper location. U C workers had to come back for a third day to finish the job. Still they left crooked pictures. The boss never showed up. So much for her Interior Decoration. The boss never called to ask how the job went. $11,600 for a unprofessional job. If I were you I would select another company for your move and save yourself a bundle of frustration.

Thank you so much Ross and crew!! I HIGHLY recommend Roadway Moving! The experience with Roadway started off great! They were attentive, and the personal care for our move was so nice. We loved our movers and they took amazing care of our belongings! UNTIL... the moving truck hit the gate at my boyfriends apartment building. At first they were great about it. Someone reached out and took all the information, reached out to the management company of the building etc. The management company sent a quote to Roadway for the damage, and we thought everything was in the works, and all would be taken care of. Well, its been over a month since our move, and after MANY emails, texts and phone calls we have not heard a PEEP from Roadway. This is unbelievably unprofessional, frustrating, and SO disappointing after the move itself was such a great experience. I am writing this review to hopefully get the attention of someone at Roadway, and get this taken care of immediately. Understandably the building wants to get this fixed, and supposedly someone from Roadway is suppose to come and asses the damage...but we have never heard from anyone. They are holding my boyfriends security deposit, and now I am afraid that if they get it fixed without roadways physical assessment of the damage, that roadway won't cover the damages at all and we will get stuck paying for it. THIS SUCKS. Time to step up Roadway! ....and step up they did! Great customer service!

The cost of those items was $3000. They said I didn't have the right "insurance". Why did I need additional insurance to make sure they did the basic job of moving my stuff and not stealing my couch????? They reimbursed me $1500. half of what they owed me. After I paid them more than $20k to move my stuff. BEYOND disappointing. After my review, they reached out and fully reimbursed me for the replacement cost. I appreciate that they care about the reviews and did right by me and my move. That says something.

    I used Oz Movers for my move from Los Angeles to San Diego. During the delivery into my ground…read morefloor apartment one of the younger inexperienced movers was attempting to carry a large marble dining table top himself without any assistance. As he walked through the front door he dropped it on the floor resulting in a 1.5" by 1.5" chip on the top edge of the table. When I asked the foreman in charge of the move if the table just cracked he assured me it was wrapped and would be protected. After about 30 minutes, the foreman unwrapped the table and noticed the damage. He asked me if maybe the damage was already present when they picked up the table but I assured him it was not. When he found the pieces that had broken off wrapped in the moving blankets, he acknowledged that the drop had indeed damaged the table top. While setting up my 65" television the following day, I noticed that the screen was covered in fingerprints and that 1/3 of the screen had been shattered as a result of the movers holding it by the glass front. During the unpacking process, I had noticed two of the movers carrying it around and leaning it up against the furniture. The costs of the move was almost $5,000, the cost to replace the table top from Room & Board was a little over $1,600, and the flatscreen tv was recently purchased for $1,100. In total the move and damages amounted to $7,700. When I contacted Oz Movers to let them know about the damage, they explained that they only cover $0.60 per pound regardless of whether the damage was caused by the negligence of their movers. I explained to the claims managers that the movers broke two of the largest and most expensive items and that $0.60 per pound would not only fall short of the cost to repair/replace the items, but that I had been charged more than that simply for moving the two broken items. My claim was submitted on 7/11 and after a 2 phone calls and an email I was advised today 7/22 that I would be getting a check for $300. I cannot express how disappointed I am with Oz Movers for not taking reasonability for the carelessness and negligence of their movers. If you do decide to use them, I would recommend paying extra for premium insurance that covers replacement costs as it is expected that they will break your items.

They broke our toddler daughter's bed frame, and crushed the mattress -- all of which were essentially brand new. This was the sloppiest move I have ever seen. Boxes were crushed during transit, and they packed items improperly. I would never use Oz again and I'm in the process of reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. The company failed to do its basic job. If I could give them 0 stars I would. What is most sad is that they won't reimburse us for the items because we only had basic insurance. However, this was not a dish or lamp breaking by accident, this was our daughter's bed and our TV completely destroyed by improper packing, which was their responsibility. Added 9/5/23: in response to Nancy's comment, I believe it's important to note that the damages were caused by negligence and the failure of the company to do its basic job (moving possessions safely), not a result of a box falling or other accidents that might require insurance. They simply did not do their job.
