Read this all the way through!!!!
I'm in the same boat as the last customer's review just last week w/this one star and complaint and issues from this company. They conned me and sold me something at the price of $3,771 that was not agreed to. I was also not provided with a clear written service agreement detailing what I was purchasing and never received any paperwork stating this. And same as other customer, I also did not fully understand that I was being enrolled in a loan and I am still dealing with the financing dispute.
I recently visited Pure Luminosity for a collagen facial. After the facial, Nicole discussed a monthly plan and program that would cost me $149/mo. and explained that this would provide me with a facial once a month for two years, and I would also receive a machine to use at home weekly. She convinced me to sign up for this program and said the total cost for two years would be $3,771.00, with no additional charges. I asked if there were any exceptions to the $149 monthly fee, and she assured me that there were none.
Nicole repeatedly asked if I had a debit card to pay for the program, and I repeatedly declined, stating that I was currently unemployed and could only pay by credit card. She assured me that they could process the payment on my credit card and would send me a link to fill out information.
I began calculating the total cost, and it came to $157.13 per month instead of the $149 mentioned. I questioned if this was an additional tax, but she shrugged it off, saying that it probably was. Despite the discrepancy, I continued with the program because it had been an hour since my facial, and I needed to get home to my young daughter, who was home alone. I trusted Nicole's advice and followed her instructions, clicking on the links she sent me and filling out the necessary information.
As I drove home, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off and something just didn't feel right. It felt like I was almost filling out paperwork for a loan or credit card, but Nicole reassured me that I was only paying $149 per month. However, the total cost had increased to $157.13, and I realized that I wouldn't be able to afford the additional amount, especially since I was unemployed. I never received paperwork that I 'supposedly' signed, just a machine that has never been opened and is still sitting in the trunk of my car, just as it was given to me.
Not till I got home and started digging, did I found out she signed me up for a payment plan with 13.99% financing for 3 years, coming to a total of $4,639.32. This was basically getting a LOAN to pay for this. I was NOT informed this was a LOAN by Nicole except that I would pay $149/mo. Which is obviously not true!
There's a whole lot more to the story and all I wanted was a facial, yet this has turned into nothing but anxiety, frustration and time wasted now. I'm currently filing a claim against this company, (the bank won't pay them either), reporting them to all of the agencies (BBB, Consumer Affairs & DCCA), possible class action lawsuit if I don't get this all reversed (as there are many complaints like mine on the Yelp & Google reviews), and wasting my time spending countless hours on currently trying to resolve and reverse this. This whole process has given me sleepless nights and made me sick to my stomach.
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! THEY'RE SCAM ARTISTS!!! And I WILL prevail!!!
(Umi S. Reach out to me. I messaged you my information.)
And for the record, when you see the 5-star review from Joanna R., that's a worker of the company trying to save face and not a real client. Just an FYI! read more
