From there, the appointment reminders were super helpful and included clear directions and contact information for both their Honolulu and Kona locations, which I really appreciated. Going into my first appointment, I was honestly nervous. I've been rejected before by medical providers because my insurance didn't cover GLP-1 services, so I was bracing myself for that again. At Ohana MedSpa, I didn't have that problem. I joined during their $199 first month discount promotion and was cleared to start right away on 0.25 weekly injections along with a B12 vitamin injection. During my first visit, I was weighed using a comprehensive scale that measures body fat, muscle mass, and other key metrics. Within about 45 minutes, I had completed the intake, review, and received my first injection. The appointment was thorough but efficient. My follow-up appointment was just as smooth. The team took time to walk me though how to self-inject, answered all my questions, and sent me home with the remaining month's injections since I already have a scale at home. At each visit, they track progress and side effects through their app, which makes the whole process feel very intentional and well monitored (during my first week I experienced some nausea and fatigue, and week two was mostly fatigue but they were clear that everyone's experience is different). This was a horrible Botox not Botox experience. The doctor was so distracted - texting on her phone, talking to someone OVER the room wall as the door was closed for "privacy" what a joke. I specifically booked for Botox 11 lines and the doctor totally missed the mark. Scatterbrained and way to preoccupied. I ended up with absolutely no so called Botox for my 11 lines or not enough to make a difference AND the majority of the 30 units in my forehead and above my eyebrows on both sides causing my eyebrow arches to flatten and freeze. I bought a Groupon deal for three Microderma facial at OhanaMed. Making an appointment was easy. Finding this place was not. They are in a big warehouse industrial area and they do not have a sign. I called the listed number to find exactly where they are located, only to find out the number is to a reservation managing company in Texas, not the actual office. So no way to contact them directly and all they could give me as a direction was the address I already had. I ended up asking bunch of people working in the same warehouse area to find this place. The experience was short but I found my skin definitely softer next day. I might have continued the service, but I just could not deal with the pushy constant sales pitch. And FYI, the Groupon deal is not really a special deal because she has the same deal all the time listed on her website. Again nothing wrong with her technique but just finding this place, listening to her sales talk was more of a hassle. read more

I'd have to admit, after each gold facial, my skin looked and felt brighter, smoother and softer. The products used smelled great and the entire experience was relaxing and refreshing. A great place to pamper yourself with an awesome facial. Robert and Natalia were very accommodating. Robert is who you'll speak to for scheduling your appointment and will also send email reminders of your appointment. Natalia is the medical esthetician. She is very sweet and knows her profession. Ever wonder what goes on your face when getting a facial? Natalia was wonderful about informing me of all the products being used during the facial and showed me the quality products that will be used before she started. I was also curious about their light therapy (celluma), so at my second visit, Natalia added a 15-minute light therapy session to my gold facial session at no extra charge. Complimentary coffee is also available after your facial. The only thing to note is that Ohana Medspas is one large room, where the waiting area and facial table are separated by a partition. There is adequate privacy. Relaxing music is played in the background, and there's possibility of hearing discussions made in the waiting area. The directions set up to get to the Holomua building were very easy to get to. If not, I wouldn't have been able to get there on my own. Got the Egyptian rose hydrajelly mask and afterwards my face was g l o w i n g . The esthetitian was so nice and her massages felt amazing. The doctor gave me aftercare instructions which I think is very informal. Its the next day and my face still looks glowyyy. Natalia is very knowledgeable about skin conditions and she personally cares about improving ones skin. I had hyperpigmentation and acne issues and she gave me tips on at home care as well as diet restrictions. Although I was only able to see her for three treatments prior to leaving the island, my skin looks way healthier and I will continue to sustain all the habits and tools she taught me about.
