I was very anxious before going to Dr Yew. Anxious about being pushed to do unnecessary procedures, getting unnecessary products for their benefit, and paying more than I need to. But once I set foot in the clinic, I was greeted and welcomed by everyone. My schedule was for 10am to 11am but they really took time to explain everything to me that I was done around 11:15. The procedure was very quick but they will teach you knowledge of your own body and they are not in a rush to finish your appointment. I also have really bad upper back pain and Dr Yew gave me a stretch and it literally removed the pain. That alone was worth it. During a recent consultation with Dr. Yew, we discussed if it would be possible to not only freeze, or plump wrinkles to make them look better - but to actually erase them on a more permanent basis. Dr. Yew explained to me that wrinkles are formed beneath the skin after thousands of repetitious movements such as smiling or squinting. Imagine a spider web of fibers beneath the skin, forming a more solid structure with each facial movement. The before photo was taken on the day of our consultation in mid-February 2025, while the second photo was taken recently in the beginning of June. Treatment time is 3.5 months with 3 treatments, each one lasting an hour. We have 2 more treatments to go in the 6-month protocol that he recommended. So, I have been going to see Dr. Yew at Aesthetics Hawai'i , located at 725 Kapiolani Blvd, Ste C-101, Honolulu, HI 96813 ( next to the BMW dealership) in Honolulu. I can't even begin to tell you how great this place is ! . His new office is absolutely beautiful and very pristine, what a way to pamper yourself ! Back with another update. I have been faithfully using the ZO skin regimen for several years. I get a lot of compliments about my skin! However, I am still not at peace. I am in my 40s, and post pregnancy melasma and dark spots are always a concern. They will probably continue to be a concern until I hit menopause. TMD continues to remain misunderstood despite advancements in diagnosis and treatment. I've been suffering from this condition for over a decade and have sought medical help from dentists, physical therapists, and even oral maxillofacial surgeons. Botox lady was awful. I told her three times how much Botox I usually get and she told me I needed more in order to make sure it lasted. What a lie. I haven't been able to move my forehead in a month. After this, I read other reviews about the same technician bullying people into getting too much Botox.
