Let me preface by saying I'm not usually someone that gets facials. However, I was in the mood for…read moretreating myself to some kind of self-care and a special for a Skin Revival Bundle from Miself Beauty Care popped up on my feed on IG. $125 for what would normally be over $400 caught my interest and I said why not give it a shot as it was going to provide more than your basic facial. This is a first time customer special. I submitted the sign up form through their IG post and was contacted through text that day (which I think is an automatic reply) and received an actual reply from a Lina the next day. From that point on, contacting them was super easy. My schedule was kind of hectic at the time, but Lina was patient in helping me to find a date that would work for me, which was about 2 weeks later. Appointment reminders were non-stop from that point out through email and text. You do need to fill out a survey prior to your appointment that asks about what kinds of products and treatments you have been doing. I was never followed up about this, so I guess there wasn't anything that would be an issue. As I mentioned, communication was super easy. If I had any questions that came up before my appointment, I could just text and they were quick in replying. Karen (the owner and the one who provides the treatments) provided parking directions ahead of time, which made it really easy to find the location and where to park. While Miself Beauty Care is located in Eaton Square, there is a specific parking garage that you need to park in as there is another one for the residents that live in the building. The same thing goes for elevators. One is specific for the residents (and locked to the public), so make sure to locate the elevators labeled as Commercial Lobby. Miself Beauty Care is located on the 4th floor in Suite 401. The suite is shared with 3 other businesses. Karen was super sweet from the very first moment I met her. She brought me into the room and gave me a towel that I would wrap around myself after taking off my top. She excused herself so I could change, but came back promptly so we could get started. The Skin Revival Bundle includes a HydroDiamond Facial, Dermaplaning Session, Anti-Aging LED Light Therapy and a Skin Revival Intro. Karen talks you through every step of the experience. She lets you know what she's going to do and why she's going to do that to your skin. I tried to understand whatever I could, but basically this session starts with cleansing your skin. Then comes the dermaplaning. This is where a scalpel is used to gently exfoliate the outer layer of your skin to reveal newer/brighter skin and remove fine facial hair to create a smoother surface. It was such a strange feeling at first, but I quickly got used to it. I enjoyed the cleansing between each treatment and the hot towel placed on my face each time as well. During the Anti-Aging LED Light Therapy, Karen massaged both of my arms. I think I might have knocked out during this part because I was so relaxed. There was a little more that she did at the end to close up the treatment to provide your skin with tons of hydration, but that was pretty much it in a nutshell. She also placed a hydrating lip balm on my lips that gave it a minty feel. I liked it so much I purchased one to take home with me before I left. Karen provided me with a mini bottle of water and 2 free gifts. What a surprise! One of the gifts was the Idyllic Cleanser that she used at the start of the session and a Chocolate Masque with Enzymes. Yay factor! Parking is validated for up to 2 hours, which should be enough for your session with Karen. Make sure to ask if there are any post-treatment rules you need to follow before leaving. I forgot to ask, so I texted her later in the day and she provided me with the information. You may want to ask this ahead of time as I had a work event to attend the next day and would have booked this treatment on a day when I didn't have anything planned the next day as one of the rules are that you are not supposed to wear make up for the next 48 hours. Thank you Karen for an amazing experience both in treatment and customer service! I don't know that my finances will allow me to come back as often as my skin would probably want, but I now know a great esthetician to both recommend to others and come back to when I want to want a tune up for my skin.

We began with an in depth skin scan where she walked me through my skin's strengths and areas for improvement, which I found really helpful. As someone with sensitive skin, I get very nervous trying new treatments, so I was especially relieved by how patient and thorough she was. I really appreciated the way she broke down each concern to its root cause and focused on educating me about why I was experiencing the issues I came in for. She was very transparent about the healing process and realistic about results with no false promises or quick fixes. That honesty meant a lot to me and made me trust her even more. The Glow Power Facial included a light chemical peel. There are different levels of chemical peels but I decided to start off light just cause I don't think I've really had one! It requires no downtime but just make sure you keep your skin protected from the sun. The facial from beginning to end was relaxing and Kanoe explained each step she was doing which was nice! My skin felt so refreshed and glowy after it was done! Kanoe also provided skincare product recommendations which she has at her salon! You can trust that she has the best of the best and her products are more reasonably priced than some other skincare lines (but just as good!). COST: I initially went for a consultation at another clinic, and I was quoted prices that were not only out of line for the procedure I wanted but were genuinely astronomical. It stands to reason they would charge so much more when you realize that you are paying for nearly 100 staff members who mostly do everything but surgery (i.e., facials, etc.). After doing my due diligence, speaking with a number of women who have been patients of Dr. Feguson, and then coming in for the initial consult, I was so thoroughly impressed by Emma, Theresa, and company that I paid for everything right there on the spot. The total cost was slightly less than half of what the other joint quoted me. RESULTS: Let's face it... we're all getting older, and some of us are uglier than others. I was getting so ugly and wrinkly that I would wear a wig backward, put a mask on the back of my head, and walk in reverse everywhere I went. I'm not kidding. Small children would shriek and cry, women would shout "EEK!" and run away, and dogs would make that high-pitched howling they do when they hear a fire engine siren. Doctor Ferguson fixed that problem, and now I can't keep my hands off myself. I'm sure that is probably illegal in several states, but I don't care. No thanks, the trust is gone! This clinic just wants to pay for their shiny new device, not give you the appropriate treatment.
