Delicious local barbecue. Fast, friendly service. Homemade bread was wonderful on the sliders, sweet potato fries were tasty but could have been warmer. Brisket was tender and the Cole slaw crisp and creamy. Overall a very good meal. We would stop here again. read more

Hard pass on Puckett's in Cullman, AL. Our waitress was phenomenal and the desserts at the end upped the stars to 2. Coleslaw is supposed to be more than just wet shredded cabbage. Put a little dressing on it, at least some vinegar. Trim the brisket before serving, the fat adds flavor but don't serve it. Call them smashed potatoes, mashed are peeled and whipped with milk and butter and serve them warm enough to melt some. The green beans were good but nothing special. And ask if folks want the meatloaf smothered in canned gravy and onions. Serve a little syrup with those corn cakes or make them more savory, they were good but they could be awesome with a little sumpin' more, you know. The restaurant was cute, music was getting ready to set up, have some karaoke goin'!. Pass on dinner, come for the dessert. read more

Ate there last night 8/19. We have enjoyed all of the Franklin TN restaurants but this location didn't met the bar. My wife ordered the smoked meat loaf which was the best thing we had. I ordered the barbecue platter and the meat was full of fat pieces, the slaw was cabbage dumped out of a bag with no seasoning or dressing and the so called baked beans were cold pork and beans. Y'all need to work on the following: Food should come out hot, fresh and timely. Employees should NOT gather around the end of the bar chatting about boyfriends, life's problems, etc. Employees should NOT stand at the end of the bar eating. Please. A few more grilled/smoked chicken, fish or salmon options on the menu would be nice. Maybe some veggies too that aren't fried. Keep the draft beer rotation updated weekly. Wife and I went in on a Saturday afternoon about 3:00. The hostess was friendly and we just bypassed the table and went straight to the bar for drinks. No one came to bar to greet us or take our order. However there were three employees standing and chatting at the hostess stand. Another employee was rolling silverware next to the bar and never looked up at us. A manager carried out a to go order and never looked over at us or checked on us. A waitress that was probably working the bar as she was waiting on a bar table finally brought out the check for that table as they were looking around and waiting to get out of there. She never glanced our way or looked over toward us. We love the Puckett's brand and have been several times to the original in Franklin and once to the Nashville location. I've always enjoyed those locations. I cannot see how this place will survive. After about 20 minutes we got up and walked out. We dine and travel a lot. We go to many restaurants and bars around Birmingham area as well as all around this country. I have never seen such a poorly run restaurant. Good luck but we will never return. read more

Ordered the nachos and they were cold. I ordered the blackened ribeye and not only was it not blackened it taste like rubber and was a white color like pork. Had ZERO flavor! My wife ordered the chicken fried chicken and her comment was this is not edible and the meat was a yellow color when she cut into it. They didn't charge me for the steak, but failed to notice we ate exactly one bite of everything in hopes something would taste good. The service was slow, but the waitress was very sweet. I was stranded in Cullman due to bad weather. Puckett's was the only place open I could walk to from my hotel, and I am so thankful. There were only two people working (front of house and kitchen) who were busting their tails to take care of everyone. The service was great and very much appreciated. This past weekend I went to Pucketts. These restaurants are based out of Tennessee but one has opened in Cullman, Alabama. It's about a 45 minute drive from Birmingham but well worth it when you try the food. I always get the meat and three. I chose pulled pork, Mac and cheese, baked beans, and fried okra. It's so so good! The servers are always very polite and the food comes out pretty fast. The restaurant has a feel of an old southern diner and some locations have spots for live music to come and play. read more

Great place, great food, great drinks, great staff. Been to pucketts twice now, and both times have been a sensational experience. They have a great brisket sandwich, a true flavor sensation, especially when pushed with their BBQ sauces. They have a great selection of local beers. The staff is super friendly and fun, my waitress even forced me to eat a spoonful of salt, best God damn salt I've ever fucking had. To start off the hostess doesn't listen when you tell her your phone number we are not from Cullman but she assumes everyone is and typed in the wrong area code. So instead of waiting the 20 minutes she told us we waited 50 minutes only to be told when we asked how much longer she said that our spot was cancelled. Once they realized they made a mistake they sat us down at a table. Our waitress was great she was very sweet 5 stars for her. The food was okay not great. For the price of the food. We have eaten here maybe five times over the past 6 months. Unfortunately, the food and service has declined since our first time visiting. I don't post much but tonight was just too much disappointment. Server couldn't remember our drink order and was basically non attentive. After about twenty minutes, I asked her to please check on our appetizer. She brought it out after another five minutes and complained about the kitchen. It's was cold and the nachos were soggy. My chicken tenders were good except one of the four must have sit in the kitchen for two hours because it was straight up room temp cold and hard. This was just lazy and unacceptable. $68 bucks for crap and I had to wait another fifteen minutes to pay the bill. I won't be back so don't even reply to me. read more
