We noticed a car's hood was smoking because the employees came out to help the woman signaling to cut off her car. I am pretty sure their shift just ended because they all seemed to be closing for the night and multiple employees walked out of the building. The lady parked her car at Waffle House and they walked over to help. Their interaction with the customer was a breath of fresh air. One of the employees gave her a ride. It was such a kind and caring interaction and the world needs more people like them! We will definitely be trying them out in the future based on this kind interaction outside of their workplace.

Once you're eligible, commissary access is unlimited, which makes this a valuable perk for those who qualify. My husband and I tend to stick to the fresh produce, beverages, and frozen items, and for what we purchase, the prices are consistently cheaper than local grocery stores. The savings may not apply across every aisle, but for our staples, it's definitely worth the trip. The commissary also has a sizable bakery section. Everything always looks tempting and well-stocked, though I personally haven't tried any of the baked goods yet. I've only shopped here on Sundays due to their limited hours, but my husband often comes during the workweek and says it can get extremely busy, especially during peak times. Checkout options include self-checkout lanes as well as assisted checkout lines. The assisted lanes come with friendly cashiers and incredibly hardworking baggers--usually older women--who bag your groceries and insist on taking them out to your car and loading them for you. If you choose this option, be sure to bring cash for tipping, as opting out isn't really an option once you're in those lines. Because of this, many shoppers avoid assisted checkout altogether and prefer to wait longer at self-checkout so they can bag their own items. Overall, the prices are good, the selection is decent, and you can absolutely cover all your basic grocery needs here. If you're eligible to shop at the Robins AFB Commissary, it's a practical and budget-friendly choice, just plan your timing and checkout strategy wisely.

Plenty of checkout areas exist; however, a waiting line forms, which becomes busy with service personnel and others attempting to avoid peak hours. Personnel are available to assist with bagging groceries and loading them into vehicles. A self-checkout option is also available to bypass lines. Disabled veterans and customers with disabilities are permitted early entry. Handicapped parking is limited, while regular parking is ample.

It would be nice to have an employee that knows about cheese that is there to answer questions during prime store hours. (Have been there 6 times and no employee. I live in Canton, Georgia, but we decided to get married at a fancy AirBnB on Lake Oconee in Eatonton, Georgia. We were going to cater (apps, food, cake, flowers) the entire wedding through Publix. The key word here was "were." I went to my local Canton Publix and got their specialty cake brochure and talked to the bakery about options. My Canton Publix was fantastic and excited, saying they could pretty much make whatever my heart desired. We told them that we love one of their already-discovered creation under their Decadent Dessert menu called the Strawberry Limonada cake. It came in an 8 inch and we were hoping they could do a 10 inch and and 8 inch and stack them. The Canton Publix said absolutely. When we called the Eatonton Publix, we were not treated with such grace and excitement. They acted like I was a nuisance to call and made me feel guilty to even ask for them to bake me a cake. I am pretty sure I was about to drop a lot of money at this Publix so you can imagine my disappointment. They first told me they could only do the Strawberry Limonada cake in an 8 inch and that we could only order from the specialty cakes brochure. OK, that is fine. I understand their limitations. I called back the next day with an order that fit within their brochure parameters...white cake with raspberry filling. They then told me they cannot do the following things: - Stack cakes. - Make any cake other than an 8 inch or sheet cake. - Make a cake with any filling...period. They also told me all this with a sense of yelling and angst. And they cannot even fulfill one specialty cake that their brochure says they can do. So we called corporate and told them about our experience and decided to remove our complete catering order. They did not deserve our business or money. Instead of rating this Publix as a one star, I opted for a two star because we still got just my bouquet and a veggie tray from them and they worked out great. If you read other reviews on this Publix, you will read similar stories about the personnel in the bakery. It sounds like it is time for a change in that department. I urge you to not use this Publix if planning a wedding. They will take your happy and excited mood and turn it sour.

Amongst the other Publix in the area this one is the largest and most modern offering self-checkout unlike the others. The produce here is always fresher and they don't burn their Dutch apple pies. Sometimes I can find snow crab legs steamed from earlier that day in the refrigerated seafood section. This supermarket chain has always advertised every fish in our fresh seafood case is never frozen. I have personally seen frozen fish in their seafood case and living in Georgia I hope they do freeze whatever they don't sell to keep it fresh. When I come to a Publix, I always take advantage of the Buy one get one free deals, this location is never out of anything. I have never purchased anything from the deli but every time I shop here that area is always busy. This is definitely the best grocery store in the Warner Robins area. When I lived in Atlanta, this was my go to grocery store, so imagine my excitement realizing there's one within a 35-mile radius of me now. Cue the happy dance in the parking lot. It's tucked into a large shopping center, so there's plenty of space to pull up, park, and prepare to spend more time (and money) than you originally planned. The moment I walked in, I was hit with the comforting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, basically the grocery store version of a warm hug. On top of that, every employee I passed greeted me. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help, which made the experience even better. I felt like a kid in a very upscale, health conscious candy store. If you're trying to eat better, this place makes it dangerously easy to stay on track. They have everything, fresh squeezed juices, exotic fruits and veggies, prepared meals, plus a quality meat and seafood department. Don't even get me started on the baked goods and yes they offer vegan and gluten-free pastries, self control was tested. I was especially impressed with their dairy free selection. There were plenty of yogurt and milk alternatives, which made this non-dairy girl feel seen and supported. One of my favorite parts was the snack displays. There were so many unique, better for you options that I hadn't seen anywhere else. I grabbed a bag of herb-seasoned popcorn on a whim and let me tell you, it did not disappoint 10 out of 10. The store itself is quaint, but don't let the size fool you I easily spent an hour exploring, especially the seasonal items. Between the fresh flowers, quality products, and overall inviting vibe, this place is officially back in my rotation. It may be "close ish," but it's absolutely worth the trip.
