Wow! I kept seeing billboards for this General Store (attached to Shell gas stations). I'm sooo glad I stopped....sooo many options of meat! I grabbed some pork chops and cheddar bratwurst (I had to restrain myself from buying more!) Spicy I've stopped here a few times now to snag one of their spicy jalapeño brats. This location has an amazing meat market inside and the offer ready-to-eat food as well. Always clean and prompt service. If you're passing thru on I75 this is a great place to take a break and fuel up your insides. read more

Stopped in to check this place out. Love browsing around these sort of general stores and finding different things. They have meat / butcher area in the back of the store and also sell their house made jerky. I picked up some sausage for hubs as well as some of the jerky. I also found some beef sticks for the fam also. Hubs was not a fan of the jerky or sausage but the dogs loved them. I found some chocolate covered blueberries for my mom also. Gas pumps don't work. Save your time and effort and get gas on exit 135. This place is a retailer not a fuel station.

Ahhhum don't go in there So much stuff you go nuts and broke lol. Never seen so many snacks in my life all the way down to home made CAKES. Just off of I-75 is this generl store and gas station. Door itself is it Jam plenty of sausage, steak, bacon, roasts, actually, it is a pretty comprehensive butcher shop. They also have a lot of trinkets and other things that would appeal to highway travelers. It is a great place to get off the road for a minute, maybe grab something to eat and do a bit of browsing. read more

This review isn't specific to the store - it is more of a tip about the gas station. The store has a set of Shell gas pumps out front. The main reason I point it out is that traffic here was modest so it was easy to gas up. We had debated possibly stopping at Buccee's just up the highway (which can be interesting) but we were afraid of how congested it would be. When we passed its exit a few minutes after stopping here, there was indeed a line of cars just waiting to get off the highway. So, depending on your schedule and how much you do / do not want to experience Buccee's, this could be a good alternate gas stop. FYI. read more

They don't have anything to help their clients, no tire, patch kit, and no air being directly off of the highway. There are no help.

Beautiful general store/gas station stop. Came through on our road trip to Tennessee from Florida. Bathroom was clean. Awesome looking butcher shop, local treats like praline bars, hot sauces, dry rubs, and honey, and a variety of essentials (they still had Lysol and TP during the whole Coronavirus ordeal). Came down too Perry Ga, to visit my son. And along the way stopping and going in all this holiday bumper to bumper traffic. I took some time to stroll Yelp for some good eats and attractions. Well it's not that much down here, but Stripling General Store caught my eye. I saw that they was a meat store. I'm always in a hunt for some good sausages or Bratwurst. So I decided to stop. The store is also a Shell gas station. Coming in everything is very clean and everyone was very hospitable. Looking around you don't get that meat/butcher impression. Which is the exact thing I wanted. But yet you got very over priced shelf item that's at least 2-3 time cheaper in a grocery store or Walmart. The meats in the fridge looked as though it was stocked with already frozen choses of meats that was thawed out to sell for that day. Nothing really fresh. They also have already hot togo food items. Like for breakfast they have several biscuits and cheese grits, also soups. The only thing I did get was some Jalapeno/cheese sausages and a medium spice sausage for my boyfriend. But over all if this is the only place to shop for meat down this way. I guess I would shop here too. read more

A great stop on our way to Marietta. We love their breakfast Rib-eye sandwiches. They offer fresh butchered meats, lots of grocery items and seasonal gifts. Bathrooms are clean and gas pumps make it an overall great stopping place. Worth the stop. We love it! read more

I've been here several times to buy meat. I used to go to the other butcher shop in Perry but now I shop here. The chicken isn't blown up with hormones but is still a good size and definitely a good price. They're ribs are also delicious and their New York strips are phenomenal. If they don't have our what you're looking for just ask because they probably have some in the back. The men that butcher the meat in the back are always helpful and nice. We will definitely continue to buy our meat from here. read more

If you emerge unscathed from the latter, this is a stopping point worthy of placing in your mental bookmarks: an ultra-modern general store with super-clean restrooms and beautifully-merchandised high-quality goods. I can assure you if I lived in this area, I would be shopping here regularly ... especially at the meat counter. If you're hungry, HIGHLY recommend the hot food bar. We stopped here based on rave reviews by a radio personality, particularly the meats. The building is very new, clean, and simple. A gas station operates at the front which is awkward if you are only coming to shop for food, household items. Inside, the star of the store is way in the back and hidden behind rows of jarred, canned, and packaged foods- the meat counter. This is why I stopped. I can see that if I lived in the area, Stripling's would be convenient. However, the reason we stopped was based on reviews of the meat selection. I did not see much that was to rave about. I can buy from local butcher meat shops and even from Whole Foods, meats that look as good and most likely are of a similar great taste, and also are not produced on mega-farms. What I would like to see at a place like this which is out where hunting is going on are wild game such as deer, hog, quail, and also meat that is typically hard to get like fresh lamb - these are the meats that we cannot get within metro areas. While a nice place with nice folks, I most likely will not stop again. read more
