The market offers canned goods, coffee, deli items, baked goods, meat, frozen foods, beer, wine, ice cream, and various other products. Wait times for checkout or general shopping vary depending on the day and time. Lunch hours and weekends are typically the busiest periods. When craving catfish or fried chicken, I order it with white rice. The choice depends on availability. The fried chicken and catfish are well-prepared, with balanced seasoning. Upon entering the commissary, customers will find various items on display, such as beverages and snacks. Restrooms are located on the left for customer convenience. The commissary offers a wide selection of products, including salads, vegetables, beverages, personal care items, desserts, frozen entrees, meat, and poultry. Plenty of checkout areas exist; however, a waiting line forms, which becomes busy with service personnel and others attempting to avoid peak hours. Personnel are available to assist with bagging groceries and loading them into vehicles. A self-checkout option is also available to bypass lines. Disabled veterans and customers with disabilities are permitted early entry. Handicapped parking is limited, while regular parking is ample.

The Robins AFB Commissary is a solid option for eligible shoppers, including Veterans and their…read moreimmediate family members with authorized family member IDs, as well as DoD civilians with a CAC showing employee status. Once you're eligible, commissary access is unlimited, which makes this a valuable perk for those who qualify. My husband and I tend to stick to the fresh produce, beverages, and frozen items, and for what we purchase, the prices are consistently cheaper than local grocery stores. The savings may not apply across every aisle, but for our staples, it's definitely worth the trip. The commissary also has a sizable bakery section. Everything always looks tempting and well-stocked, though I personally haven't tried any of the baked goods yet. I've only shopped here on Sundays due to their limited hours, but my husband often comes during the workweek and says it can get extremely busy, especially during peak times. Checkout options include self-checkout lanes as well as assisted checkout lines. The assisted lanes come with friendly cashiers and incredibly hardworking baggers--usually older women--who bag your groceries and insist on taking them out to your car and loading them for you. If you choose this option, be sure to bring cash for tipping, as opting out isn't really an option once you're in those lines. Because of this, many shoppers avoid assisted checkout altogether and prefer to wait longer at self-checkout so they can bag their own items. Overall, the prices are good, the selection is decent, and you can absolutely cover all your basic grocery needs here. If you're eligible to shop at the Robins AFB Commissary, it's a practical and budget-friendly choice, just plan your timing and checkout strategy wisely.

We noticed a car's hood was smoking because the employees came out to help the woman signaling to cut off her car. I am pretty sure their shift just ended because they all seemed to be closing for the night and multiple employees walked out of the building. The lady parked her car at Waffle House and they walked over to help. Their interaction with the customer was a breath of fresh air. One of the employees gave her a ride. It was such a kind and caring interaction and the world needs more people like them! We will definitely be trying them out in the future based on this kind interaction outside of their workplace.

If you have never been, here are a few things that you should know: -You will need a quarter to get a cart. You will get it back when you return it. -You will need to bring your own bags. If you don't, they have some to purchase at checkout. -They do not always have the same items. So while you can come in with a list, you may not find exactly what you were looking for so keep an open mind. -Aldis store brand is excellent and can be trusted. -Sometimes there is a cashier on duty but not always. And they won't bag your groceries. That's your job. The only reason I didn't give this location 5 stars is because I didn't see a single employee this entire trip.
