Coming from metro Atlanta and having driven up and down I-85 in South Carolina numerous times, I've…read moregrown accustomed to and become spoiled by all the great QuikTrip gas stations and convenience stores. Unfortunately, no QTs exist on I-16, at least not at the time of writing this review. I-16 doesn't carry as much traffic as I-75 and I-85 in Georgia. Between Macon and Savannah, this Flash Foods gas station and convenience store is about as good as it's going to get. You can find it in Dublin, just off exit 51 (US 319 / US 441 (SR 31) - Dublin, McRae). This station has 16 pumps with gas that's roughly 10-20 cents cheaper per gallon than the gas at metro Atlanta QTs. This is a popular pit stop and it can get quite busy. The pumps (and the property in general) are getting old and it's hard to read the screens. They need some updating. The receipts print out fine. Inside, the convenience store has all the essentials. It's a fairly simple store in the older convenience store mold; not as big nor as impressive as moderns QTs which have quickly become the new standard. They do have a small, fresh-brewed coffee selection. The restrooms are serviceable, though the men's room only has two urinals and one toilet stall. There's a machine car wash here if you want to wash your car. If this station was located in metro Atlanta, I might give it 2 stars, but for the 167-mile stretch of I-16, it's perhaps more of a 3-star station.

I used to have their app which gives a 5 cent discount if you pay using the app, but haven't updated my bank information on the app so couldn't use it. They have a nice convenience store with a good selection of the standard overpriced snacks you find in these stores, but I got a couple of bag of nuts for a pretty good price, I think about $3. There are good clean restrooms inside of the convenience store. It's very close off the highway, and this particular exit from the highway, exit 51 I believe, has a decent selection of some chain restaurants is you also want to geb a meal.

There is one kitchen employee we have not had any troubles with ordering ,but that is it. We buy a pizza here at least once every two weeks because it is good pizza for a good price but we often wait 2-3 times longer trying to get staff to take our order for pizza than it does to cook the pizza and checkout.

Saturday, 12/28, I visited twice (late morning and mid afternoon) while passing by the area on a long road trip. The restrooms were spacious and available. The entire site was an eyesore for trash, unfortunately. The trash cans at the pump were full, the trash cans at the entrance were jam packed with litter on the sidewalk, and the men's restroom was similar with full trash, paper towel debris on the floor and in the sinks. Coffee was well priced and decent! Hopefully, this was just a staffing issue and increased holiday travelers that was a rare depiction of the site's cleanliness.

This is one of the few gas stations in this area on I-16. You have to go inside to pay for gas. REALLY!! Then here is the next kicker, you have to spend at least $5 to use your debit card. This station was really clean and they offered some tasty smelling fresh fried chicken. The drinks were really cold. The place was pretty busy and it took me for ever to checkout. The experience here did wake me up. If you've to stop this is a clean, safe, but slow place.

That fried chicken I wanted because it's something about meat fried in that grease but I looked at that baked chicken and said it looked good too as I knew it was a healthier option but still wanted that fried chicken until Kizzie recommended the baked and told me I wouldn't be disappointed. And she was right. Everything I selected was good. I didn't get to taste the yams bc my Pops ate them both but that's ok. Caring is sharing. I'll be sure to get an extra order next time. We called back to the store to let her know how good it was. He already knows the cook crew really well. But I was happy to meet her. She had a very pleasant personality. All the staff were friendly.
