I dislike going to this grocery store. While it's new and HUGE, it's not for me. Seriously, I have never been in such a large Kroger...it might as well be a Walmart. They even sell clothes! It was just too big in my opinion. I did not see ONE employee while I was wandering the aisles. I was no familiar with the store layout and since I couldn't find anyone to ask where an item might be, I definitely got my steps in that day going back and forth looking for things. The selection of items and the AMOUNT of variety is impressive. But if you don't have any one to show you where it is, why have it all? Also, when it was time to check out (this was a BUSY Saturday morning), there were only TWO registers open with actual cashiers. All the others were self-checkout. Don't know why this store has gotten so many one-star ratings. It's perfect for all shopping needs. Not only is grocery selection fantastic, the bakery and deli are phenomenal. So many artistinal sandwich products, great fresh breads of all kinds, and an absolutely kick*ss olive bar. And then, there's all the various store products that you might find in a Target or Walmart if you want to get all your shopping done in one place. I love this Kroger Marketplace concept. It is truly a "one-stop shopping" experience. When I first walked in, it was nothing like the Kroger I'm accustomed to, which is just a grocery store. This place has an actual bar that sells wine and beer, plus they have 2 tv's to watch the game on. There is a Starbucks located next to the Marketplace entrance. They sell shoes and clothes that you can try on in the dressing room. Also, like most local Kroger's, they have a housewares section, but this one includes small appliances. We recently moved to the area, and there are so many things you realize you need but don't feel like going to a bunch of stores to get. During my grocery shopping stop, I was also able to get things like contact paper for the cabinets, decorations for the house, and makeup. Their seafood department always has fresh seafood and a nice selection. The produce department usually has fresh fruits and vegetables. I'm so glad that this is my local Kroger, and I don't have to travel far to get basically everything I need during one trip. read more

I usually have a great experience at this Kroger as long as I avoid peak hours. Prices are good when quality matters but some things will naturally be cheaper at Aldi or Walmart. This location is convenient to me so that is a factor to consider as well. I recommend. read more

Only one cashier available so we had to use self checkout. Krogers self checkout registers won't let you scan very fast and it keeps stopping and telling you to place item in bagging area even though you have already done it then it alerts an employee to come and scan their badge for you to continue. We had about 30 items and it took so long to finish because of this. If Kroger really cares about their customers they would fix this problem and also have more cashiers. Even Walmart has more cashiers available than that. We won't be going back!!!!! read more

It's alright. The store was clean and orderly, nothing special beyond the prices and selection of products.

This place is great! I love the seafood counter and their large selection of cold beverages for those times when I want to grab a quick drink but I don't drink caffeine. There are so many caffeine free options. This is a huge deal for those of us who don't drink caffeinated beverages or soda or just want a break from caffeine but need something other than water and sweet lemonade drinks. I've seen criticism about having to bag your own grocery. I've never experienced that. Maybe because I never think to bag my own if I'm in a full service cashier line. I just wait until the bagger comes over....who knew I was to bag my own... There's a Starbucks here, deli counter, ready to heat dinner in the deli AND a bar!! Yep, you can get a DRANK in Kroger!!! No other Krogers in this city have anything on this Kroger! It's a cool place to shop! read more

I Was struggling to lift and turn the water to scan in self check out. Then I looked over and saw the young man watching me struggle. He was holding the scan gun in his hand! I said you see me struggling and haven't offered to help me? He said he had to be asked for help. He said they cannot help without being asked. I was the only one in self checkout. Every time I go to this Kroger, i have to bag my own groceries. Last night when I went to checkout right around 9pm, the lines were so long that if I desperately didn't need the items I had in my buggy then I would have left the buggy sitting right where it was and left. That is how bad the lines were backed up. read more

I'm not from the south so maybe I don't know a good Kroger from a bad but to me this one was as good as it gets! First off it's massive. They have everything from clothes to wine. I saw the florist at work preparing beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers and the chefs at work preparing fresh sushi. They have a Starbucks and even have their own gas station. I was looking for a very particular bran of oat bran for my baby and a very nice gentleman walked me around the store until I found it. Before we left we grabbed some bagels from the bakery and at only 69 cents they were some of the freshest bagels we've ever tasted. It was so good it really made me question why anyone gives up carbs ever. It's just impossible with bagels out there in the world tasting do good. All in all a great experience. 30 Weeks pregnant and couldn't seem to get any help bagging anything. Baggers were at every stand but mine, i had far more groceries than anyone else. Cashier just stared at me looking irritated i was taking so long to bag all my things, when i was going as fast as i could. I didn't know it would kill somebody to help out a little when you see them struggling and doing their best, especially a pregnant person. read more

I like going to this location rather than the other ones at Watson blvd or Russell Parkway. The missing star is for the dirty bathroom. I don't understand people leaving the bathroom dirty, everybody likes a clean one. Clean up after yourself! Maybe someone needs to maintain the bathroom more often? Other than that the employees are friendly and helpful, no matter if you shop inside or using the click list on your busy day. It is very convenient having that option and the Kroger app is very userfriendly. Love the best customer coupons and the free Fridays, we made some good deals. Every time I shop at Kroger I have a horrible experience. They have terrible customer service, they don't keep their bathrooms clean and found out recently that my nightly trips to the grocery store after kids are asleep can't be done anymore because they only have self checkout after 11pm. Very inconvenient for large loads. Unless I am desperate, I'm driving the extra mile to Publix, I always leave there happy and satisfied with my experience! read more

As the best grocery store that I have yet visited (across the nation with an Ingles store in Macon as second), I look to this store as the ideal grocery store by which I now compare all grocery stores-- including other Kroger stores. It would be great to see many more Super Kroger stores. As for the negative reviews that I have read, I could see some merit to any store having patrons that abuse the restrooms (as a number of "bored" people go into most stores later in the evening to just abuse the displays, restrooms, shopping carts, parking areas, & departments). One bad product on one shelf (while disgusting as that was) does not necessary condemn the other iterations of that product on the shelf (that is why people browse). It has been my general experience that when concerns seem neglected at the employee level, address management directly before jumping to negative comments to friends & family or to strangers. I'm sure that placing a disgusting product for sale on a shelf is not part of their official process. This store has had good customer service--especially when compared to the lack thereof in most places in the area. We as a community need to do better, & part of that means taking the time to give this Kroger & other businesses & organizations (which endeavor to give us improved resources & experiences) our support, our patronage, & our well-rounded feedback (not just our kudos & complaints--especially online--) in person because that is how it was experienced. Imagine if all of the stores gave online feedback about the customers--how they contributed to higher prices & reduced staff by putting products anywhere other than where the products belong, how they left the restrooms in such a mess & did not wash their hands, how they failed to realize that some of the workers were barely making ends meet & could not find local employment that met their skill set but went above & beyond for ungrateful people who would rather criticize than recognize. It says just as much (if not more) about the community as it says about the stores. The store excels. We grow as a community; let's help all of the community resources to do the same by giving direct feedback as opposed to posting online snapshots (& I don't just mean pictures). The 10 for 10 are a good deal when the items are in stock. I can rarely find certain items, neither can the employees. Produce is junk, the stockers just throw bananas around like everyone loves bruised bananas the fruits and vegetables that are on sale are half rotten. Meat is subpar. Kroger brand products aren't as good as other store brand products and they cost the same as name brand. read more

My wife was just in the store. There was a puddle in the checkout line that she slipped in. No one asked her if she was ok or tried to help her. She had 4 kids with her and everyone just stared. Talk about horrible customer service. No one got a manager or supervisor to check on her. I hope nothings broken!!! read more

The store is nice and clean. However, the deli is so slow. I have never seen anything like it. I do not have the time to spend standing there for ever waiting on lunch meat. I do not even deal with the deli counter anymore. It is easier and quicker to stop at Publix. They really do need to be more efficient and offer over all better customer service. read more

This Kroger location used to be one of the absolute best around. I would've easily given it 5 stars, but ever since the "upgrade" it is just plain awful. Now it has a big warehouse feel that is an odd hybrid of Walmart, Pier 1 Imports, and what Kroger used to be. If you want produce and need to visit the pharmacy, well I hope you like walking. If you need anything after 11PM, well I hope you like walking then too because you're forced to shuffle down rows of checkout lanes blocked by shopping carts just to get inside the store. Are there lots of thefts in this area? Is this a bad neighborhood? I'm assuming that's why they've blocked all of the lanes except for the self checkout. I felt like a convict walking through there as the grumpy night shift employees snarled at me. Speaking of the employees, they have a complete lack of customer service on every level, from management to bag boys - a total failure. I'm sorry I have to write such a negative review of a store that I once loved. Bring your standards back to where the were before The Great Walmartening and I will happily provide an update. read more

Customer service should be called customer Non-Service. We only go to this store because they have a better organic selection, Unfortunately they have terrible customer service. I've needed to stop at customer service three times because 1-- the cashier didn't remove a security swipe from a product so the alarm went off ... after 30 minutes in a long line that didn't move I went back to the pharmacy section to get checked out correctly. 2-- I needed to rent a steam carpet cleaner ... After 30 minutes in line behind one person doing lottery, the customer service helped me very slowly while she complained about her co-workers not being there, she complained about not taking her break, and she made phone calls even though I was the only person left on line and she could have made the calls after finishing our transaction. She was so slow that i had to re- swipe my payment card because the machine timed out. When I asked her where the attachments were, she said "oh that's an extra charge and we'll have to start over." By this time I was going to be late for an appointment so I left without the attachments and was unable to thoroughly clean the furniture. 3-- I needed return some glass milk bottles. Waited in line for 20 minutes behind a man who was also waiting because there was nobody at customer service. read more

This Kroger has bunches of kale! Not that useless bagged stuff, but real kale. Unfortunately, the kale is not the tenderest, so good for kale chips but not so much kale salad. The kale is a big deal because Middle Georgia groceries don't often seem to have it, which is sad.They also have a nice natural foods section. They put stuff on sale and clearance pretty frequently and you get good deals. The card selection is also nice and they have good deals on orchids. read more
