Just to add to my previous reviews. Trying to be healthy I usually stick to the savory menu items. But, I just got to taste their latest creation, a sweet potato fritter. They have a winner here folks. I'm gonna advocate for this to be a regular. It bridges the breakfast and potato menu. I guess I'll be getting this sweet more often, lol.

We visited Tommy's for the first time from out of town on a Saturday morning for donuts. I don't know why Tommy's gets such great reviews. I'd say the donuts were average at best. I hear they're the best in Macon. That may be true, but it's unfortunate for the good citizens of Macon. If you're looking for an old school, local cafe, this is it. They've got a few tables inside, and a couple outside for seating. The single person behind the counter seemed like she'd much rather be somewhere else. Not too friendly at all - almost an inconvenience that we were there. There were some small cartons of salads and dips in the fridge next to the check out. They looked really good. I impulse bought some chicken salad and bacon dip. I was really surprised when they rang up at $15.99 and $14.99 respectively. I hope they're really good!!

We are not from here and wanted to try something local this morning. This was the first place that came up on my search! I have to say, the maple bacon donut is 10/10 to me! My toddler enjoyed the donut holes. The breakfast sandwich was good but filling! The scrambled eggs were amazing, 10/10! Fresh and made to order. If you're not from here, I'd say it's worth it to go! There's something on the menu for everyone.

Delicious breakfast spot! The maple bacon donut is AMAZING. The apple fritter is also definitely worth getting. We also ordered a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. The biscuit is so flaky and buttery. One of the best spots in Macon. Highly recommend!

Overall good! Relaxed atmosphere. Good, VERY QUICK service. We came for lunch. We look forward to coming back for breakfast. Have heard really good things. It's nice to have an option that isn't a chain for a good breakfast, lunch and donuts/pastries. We got the strawberry turnover and it was delicious. Burger was cooked perfect as was the BLT. Nice portion sizes. Overall looking forward to coming back and trying new things off their menu. Just a side note, it's not a sit down and order type restaurant, but instead you review the menu at the register and then order there for either dine in or take away.

Small diner, staff is friendly. Updated hours of operation are Mon-Sat closed on Sundays. *correct* the 2 donuts I ordered were yeast donuts, NOT cake. I will say they are a bit more dense than what I am used to which is why I originally thought they were cake.

It's a quaint little restaurant, have stopped for doughnuts several times. This was my first time actually dining in. Went for lunch with my mom last Saturday. Arrived a tad after 1pm and they close at 2pm. I ordered the Spicy Grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwich and fries. Wasn't honestly a fan, as the textures and flavor didn't mesh well. The wheat bread was toasted but the pimento cheese was still cold. The fries were good though. My mom advised she wished she had picked a different bread for her chicken salad, I would have definitely done the same. I probably should have stuck to a regular grilled cheese. I understand it was nearing closing time, but we felt a bit rushed. 45min would have been plenty of time to eat a sandwich and fries/chips, that neither of us finished. The staff kept our cups full, but also mentioned they were about to shut down the machine. What seems like 2 minutes after bringing our food out they were back asking if we needed to go boxes. I think I'll just stick to their doughnut.

We got breakfast and a dozen donuts. The breakfast was diner food but pretty good. Service was friendly and quick. Donuts were SO GOOD!

This is a friendly neighborhood bakery and café with a lot of foot traffic. It is obvious that this business is supportive of the community by the plaques and trophies on display. I really liked the table near the entrance full of local business cards and different brochures which is a noble gesture. The baked goods and the coffee were fresh and very good. The BLT was made to order and also tasted good. We ordered to go; I wish the BLT would have had a parchment liner along the bottom half of it for better access and handling. We weren't given napkins. It looks and feels like a family business, and has a lot of character.

So on our way back from visiting friends at Lake Lanier, I as the passenger + navigator said..hmmm...we need a break but let's find soul food. I said. Who goes thru Macon and dont eat good. Not me. So, I hit Yelp. Then I asked AI. Claude. Claude gave me a list and there was the H! So we drove 20 minutes out the way. Best detour ever! Go early. Buy an extra meal for home. I gladly dropped my cash. ..salmon cakes made me cry....everything was off the chain. Well, I had my good juju on, I sat on a bench with a 30 year veteran of this place. She talked my ear off, what a delight. So the place is decked out in Allman brothers memorbilia. It was their early haunt as they rose to fame. Well the founder, older blk lady is dead. Her family smartly sold out to corporate. But it was worth it. They maintained all thats good. Even the tiny old bathrooms. Need an update for sure. But. .Definitely worth the visit. Parking was horrible! So go early! Now, you need to go by Macon cemetery. See Allman burial, civil war places. I want to explore Macon more now! Well, as we drove home, around Jacksonville, I reached in the back seat. No fork. Just a smile. Yes i fed my driver. Salmon cakes hit on all cylinders. Sadly the two meat plate left off my meat, turkey. But forgiven. I should have checked my to go order. Never trust. Always verify. Broke my own rules! Stop by. Soak up history, flavors in this quaint cafeteria style. Nothing fancy. Just pure delight!
